Planners and planning changed my life. It helped me to be able to be easier on myself. Instead of all the things I thought I didn't accomplish, it allowed me to change my perspective to see all the things I was doing and accomplishing. And that was huge- because I'm not always nice to myself
My 11 yr old granddaughter started doing a planner. She watches your shows. Thank u for having a positive message that reaches all regardless of age. 🥰
I'm a newbie planner :) A few things I have learned: * I have tried several other times to use a planner and tbh my downfall was other planners and what I mean by that is that my planner was not as "pretty" as others, I didn't have all the cute accessories, etc. etc. I have come to realize that NO ONE else will be looking at my planner and I will just do what works for me and not hold my planner up to others expectations of what a great planner looks like. :) *You can use a planner WITHOUT all the extras. All you really need is a planner and a pen. *You don't have to go spend 60+ bucks on a planner. You can plan with a notebook & pen or there are many affordable options. *Just get started with each passing month you will find what works for you.
I was at the Doctors with my husband, and while he was waiting to go in for his appointment, I decided to go to the scheduler to set up his next appointments. After exchanging pleasantries, I looked down and OMG there was an EC we started talking about our love for planning, I love meeting planner girls
My answer: I do keep one on my phone as I really like getting the alerts, BUT I love to also write it down and getting to be creative and decorate my paper planner.
Heather, you covered so many of the same things that would be on my list too! One other thing I wish I had known was to “preplan” with sticky notes instead of going through the whole year and writing everything down on the pages!
Good video. Thank you. I'd like to add with your pen tip, that paper makes a difference. Pens don't feel and perform the same on all papers. You may love a pen with one paper, but hate it with another. Keep trying different supplies and planner until you find what works best for you. Let your planners change as your life changes. Planning and planners are supposed to make your life easier and better. If they're not, change it. Happy 2020 to all planner friends! Have fun planning your best year yet!
It also depends (at least for me) what you are using the pen for - I'm not usually a fan of ball point pens (or at least i never used to be, might be changing now) but they are what I love for Pathfinder RPG nights because they right faster for me when i need to keep up with the notes
Wish I had known... That an easy weekly layout of washi top and bottom gets me off and running And that Michaels bargin bin has multiple fun washis 3-5 for one buck That a little casual scrap from pretty catalogs ,magazines , soap wrappers ,etc can be more fun than a carefully designed sticker That fooling around on a weekly layout .... I can sketch with colored pencils and a phone photo for inspiration - though I did not think I could draw before That yes it is ok to use Erin Condren plus disc planners for varied purposes - that a planner is more than that - it is an integrated time sensitive way to archive work , memories , and more
I like that word "integrated" .. having an 'integrated planner system' sounds so much better than 'my collection of various planners i use for different purposes' 😉
Really enjoyed this video. I'm new to the planner community. I started last year, mainly to make to do lists and keep a journal so I will have the dates different things happened. I have found I use it for more than that. I am old to the planner game at 71 but still really like it.
Yes! I'm a minimalist, so Happy Planning comes easy to me...I ONLY buy what I need and what has a true purpose. My 2 sticker books, 3 pens/highlighters and ONE planner is more than enough until they're fully used. :)
Planning is personal! I love the stickers! I used to be a little embarrassed when people would see my pages. Now, I just grin and wait to see if they comment!
1) Dollar Tree and the 1/3/5 section at the Target entry have planner stickers, journals, binders, mini post-its and other accessories! The packs are smaller and usually more seasonal. If you're new and trying to see what works for you and how you use the accessories it's a good way to test different things without blowing your whole budget on one item. When you figure out how you're using the planner, you can make smarter purchases. 2) I'm not sure if anyone said this yet, but you CAN return/exchange items you don't use in the original packaging. Check the return policy at your local store. Most stores accept returns with receipt up to 30, 60 or even 180 days! If there's no receipt or it's beyond their return period you can still usually get a store credit at the lowest sale price. (Better than taking up space in your house and making you feel guilty for buying it.) If I buy something that looks fun, but it sits for over a month without me having to go in the book for a sticker, I put it in the return bag. Or I put it in the "gift" pile - I like to keep thoughtful gifts ready for whenever! 3) Some of the stores near me are having test groups. They have a session where you can try different pens / papers and meet with other planner people. You can also try out accessories like punches to find the ones that work best for you. If there isn't one scheduled near you, ask if they have a test area...sometimes they can repurpose the good pieces from 'damaged packs' or returned items to encourage more sales and less returns. 4) Learn how to make your own dividers and folders with different hacks and office supplies. It's not always easy to find what you need in the size you need it, but if you are willing to make one yourself you can get exactly what you want. It will get easier after the first one, but you have to keep trying!!! You can make a super customized planner that makes you so happy you can't wait to open it to the next section :-)
Hi Heather. Planner newbie here. I purchased my first planner 3 days ago and I can't wait to receive it. I've been binge watching your video's and getting lots of tips, tricks and loads of ideas, so thank you very much. Bunny 🦄📗📒✒📝✂️
Bunny T she has lots of newbie videos on her playlist called “planning 101” it’s helped me so much. And also her tips for 50 different ways to use the yearly at a glance days and topics for planners and using more than one planner. Those are some of my faves! 💜
Bunny T hey wanted to update/edit my comment... the at a glance pages/days are the “perpetual calendar” pages (that’s the correct name for that section) and Heather has a very easy to follow 50 ways/topics for using that. I personally sat with my notebook and wrote them out in a list so I can go back and decide what to use my perpetual for. I hope that makes more sense, Bunny. Sorry for confusion in my first comment to you
Don't be tempted to fill in the dates and your special days! That was my newbie mistake and I had a lot of regretful numbers and paper tears later on in the year lol.
Love the video, Heather. When I was considering buying a planner, I reached out to a planner group on facebook. One of the members connected with me and sent me one month of the horizontal, one month of the vertical, and one month of the dashboard layouts so I could try before I buy to see which one worked for me.
@@katherinemeade9912 It was one of the happy planner facebook groups. I've joined several since then, so I'm not sure which one it was. Search happy planner and several should come up.
Thank you for sharing so many practical tips! I just started using multiple planners and it has already changed my life! You are SO RIGHT about this, at least for me. I was so stressed using one planner because any time I picked it up, I had EVERYTHING in that planner on my mind. Now, I can focus on one area of my life and once I put it down, I am organized and onto something else. I am SO EXCITED about my goals for this year! Thank you!!!!
So many nice comments! I started in 2015 also, wish I'd known what we both know now. One of the comments rang true to me too, I don't use my phone for planning, would forget about it.. plus I just love the stickers and planning, it's my happy place. It is expensive but so is golf, which my husband loves, so both hobbies even out!
So I have been a on and off planner for a few years. I love your channel and I agree only buy the things you will use and SET A BUDGET. I allow my self to spend 30.00 or less a month on planner materials and ALWAYS use coupons and wait on sales. It does take patience most of the time, especially if you see something really cute..lol
Hey Heather!!! I have been a planner and stationary lover for a long time!!! You were the first girl I found on TH-cam that explained everything planning and got me hooked on Happy Planners and their accessories!!! Your channel has been inspirational and helped me to find my way in planning even more!!! I totally recommend your channel to anyone who a beginner in planning or even a seasoned planner! Love ya and please continue doing what you do!!!
I wish I had done some research on planning before I started. I bought EVERYTHING! Huge mistake. What I do now is use what I have. It's saved me a lot of money.
That’s what I plan to do now just use what I have and REALLY try not to buy anything else. Black Friday is today and it has been a challenge not ordering anything but I’m standing strong bc is also expensive and in these uncertain times I gotta watch my pennies.
Very True, people do ask me why I use a paper planner. I went to Joann today and found the homebody collection mini stickers bool for 7.00 I have the classic homebody, still going to use it, and I found paper for the home body planner for 2.97 - 20%. Now I am making my own planner accessories an elastic band for my pen.
Love #10 idea. But I would have to call it my allowance. Lol. To me "Budget = Bills 😖" but an Allowance is earned and used for FUN!🤗 Which Happy Planners and planning is almost always = fun. (Planning Bill's brings it down but a definite must do.)
TFS...I’ve been planning since 2016, and love it. I am definitely a HP planner. I am retired and “ living the dream”. I just ordered an Erin Condren planner. I am obsessed with planning. I currently use four planners. I always used a planner for work, and found that in retirement, I am busier than ever. Planning keeps my retirement life in order.
I have always used planners since the 70's, back then they were the pocket planners for your purse...just started with the happy planner in 2018 THIS will be my third year...I only buy what I LOVE!! Use a lot of SCRAPBOOK paper also, notebooks, plus stickers... helps me keep track for my scrapbooking...Love you 10 things to know...
I love putting the planner supplies in the budget. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that. We have a budget but never thought to add it. I know my husband and I give each other $25 of spending money when we get paid. I should start taking some out of that and put it aside for planning supplies. I also got way too much washi tape at first. I just use it mostly to put down the middle to cover up a pattern that doesn’t go with my color scheme. I love planning! I’ve been doing this for 2-3 years now I think. It helps me get so organized and remember what needs to be done weekly and monthly. I love how I can use the planner supplies to organize many different areas of my life. I love when you show how you do things with the budget for instance, so helpful!
I'm a newbie Planner. 2020 is my first, and if I could describe it in one word, it would be "magical." I can't really explain it. I'm only on my first week and already I feel like it's reached inside my soul, pulled out all the insides and rested it's light on all the possibilities I've carried inside me and now I get to watch "me" grow. Thank you for your insights into the world of Planning. I only hope I can do this form of art some justice 😍😍😍
I like to keep some things old school. There's so much digital these days. I like to go back to my roots with certain things. Your number 2 prompted this lol
Hi ! I'm very very new in planning a d I decided to switch from hourly bullet journal to Happy Planner because of stickers. Waiting for my first Rongrong collection with 50-75% and yes , its expensive, I bought only necessary ind spent around $100. But I'm so excited. I hope it will make my life better, being housewife, homeschooling preschooler, loss weight journey, meal prep , budget, a d self educatuon.
I paper plan because it's fun and keeps everything in order for me. I also love it because I use it as a memory keeper.I Love looking back at all the things that happened throughout the year. All ten of you'r tips are so true. My tip is to do what best fits your way of planning and don't get sucked into everyone else's way of planning. Create your own style.
You are very right, it is very expensive. I had started two years ago, but stopped. I just felt like Planning was only for busy people. Getting back into it, using my outdated planners and making them more as Notebooks, I am calling them My Head Notebook, just jotting thing going thru my head , and will set up a picture with stickers of how I feel. Well when I realize I was getting back into it, I spend so much money. My thing is Washi Tape and STICKERS.
Thank you for addressing the not so pretty or happy side of the planner world. I was taken aback with some members on the planner FB groups. People have left the groups because of this. On the same negative side comes those purchasing just to switch, damage, ransack or buy in bulk to resell online. It's so heartbreaking to go buy new product and read stories of people purchasing cart loads of all the product. Thank you Heather and all the other squad members for always keeping it positive and classy. ❤️
Thank you for this very helpful video. I am so glad I found it. I am planning for about 2 years and have kind of become addicted to buying stickers, planning supplies. I realize it and your point about setting a budget just for planning is great. I will set one up and the point you made about your organizing things when you started planning is happening to me. My thoughts are more focused and I need to stick with it. The best part was the talk you gave on Faith planning. I have stickers and have one notebook I am dedicating to just that. That has meant a lot to me. Thank you.
Heather, thank you for all you do! I am pretty new to the community and still learning so much! I have also recruited my daughter! I LOVE your channel and your ideas! Your enthusiasm and energy is contagious! It's so good to know my daughter and I aren't the only planner maniacs out there! 💖
How has planning changed your life? I’d love to hear the benefits. Please make a video about that with specifics. It would be great encouragement. Thanks.
Great video Heather! Love your enthusiasm. I went into Joanns to get a planner (60%off!) and an employee totally poo-pooed me when I asked where the "other" planner section was. She thought the HP craze was crazy and ridiculous. But I realized that she doesn't know me at all! I could NEVER plan on a phone (which she advised me to do, for crying out loud.) I am a paper/pen girl and I also wear MANY hats around here. I am responsible for homeschooling my boys, in charge of my dad's meds, my mom's appts, my husband's appts, MY appts, bills, church events, pet appts, and when we need to clean the fridge!!! And that's just the tip of it...HPlanning has transformed my life, made me productive, AND has supplied a creative outlet for me that I really needed. I get a lot of joy out of improving my handwriting, checking things off and....yup.....washi tape. The lady at J's has no idea....so there. And too bad about the negativity....terrible...ignore it.
Back in 2017 I was starting my jurnaling and scrapbooking hobbies. I had a basic understanding of memory keeping and playing. One of my teachers pulled oud her happy planner, gell pens, and 2 value packs and I sead she has money. Now after 7 years now intristed in memory keeping and playing I can tell I was right. She had money or atleast a great budgeting plan.
I love your laugh when people ask about why you use a paper planner! Why are people so judgemental about the paper planner, am I right?! ;) Such great advice, thank you!
Don’t buy it because it’s on clearance. Buy it because you’ll use it! I got so many sticker books be use they were soo cheap but I never reach for them or they aren’t my style.
Planner newbie here too... I will say I went to a fb group today and let them know I was new and asked a question and I found the planner snob group I guess bc they wouldn’t post my question and basically told me to google it. Made me a little discouraged but decided it’s truly gonna be how I want.
I’m new. As in 2020. I was about to buy a Filofax. Then discovered a Kikki K and brought that. Of course, then I discovered TH-cam planning community. As much as I love my Kikki K, I want a Mambi now. Not to mention, that in terms of sizes I only purchase Erin Condren printable stickers so I can resize them smaller to fit my inserts.
Heather, Thank you for being apart of my planner journey. In the beginning I was constantly comparing my spreads and ideas to others and found myself really down and out. And then, I heard you say it- comparison is the theft of joy. Like wow, hit me straight in the chest girl. I’ve been able to step back and create some things on my own and find my own style while still admiring others.
My first 7/8 months of planning I spent so much money on sticker books. I don't use hardly any washi tape. But I was so happy to finally get out of my FOMO stage. I no longer run to the stores when new items come out. I buy only what I really love and know I will use. Everything else can stay at the store. 😊
I prefer paper planning over the phone planning because when phone burns out, as 2 other cell phones has, I don't need to worry about what they were, which causes stress. Also, I love to write. Keep writing in practice. These are my instant reasons if I'm asked why I don't use cell phone.
"Why do you need a paper planner when you can use your phone?" Honestly? Part of my PTSD recovery. I used to have a lot of trauma about planning ahead and putting appointments in the future, even on my phone. But if I can make my planner a riot of color with fun stickers on it, I'm suddenly way more able to approach planning ahead at all! Notably, this also means that I _do_ use permanent pen and stickers to plan very far ahead, even though that might mess with future spread plans. If I get to that point and I don't like it, I'll use whiteout or a sticker to cover it up and start again on top.
I decided to test the waters of planning and BuJoing. I kept my starter pack simple because I'm super frugal. Two different sizes of dot notebooks, B5 and A5, to see which size worked best for me and my needs. Didn't worry about bleed through and ghosting since I am just trying to get my layouts and needs organized. Two sets of pens, one set fineliners and one set dual brush/fineliners. Four stencils of designs I am most likely to use but can't draw myself. One metal ruler with some more stencil designs incorporated. One pack of different sticky notes cause that's already something I use a lot. And finally one pack of ten basic colors of washi tape. As for people saying "your phone can do that😕" ... Well most of the time it takes four or five different apps to do what one BuJo/Planner can do. Phone is good for alarms but not my style of organization. Been there done that. Plus... I get to draw and be creative... And disconnect from the phone. Win-Win.
Lol 😂 omg I haven’t even started and lost count of how much I have spent on sticker books… loved the video and the way you decorate your planner I have watched almost all the videos 🙏 thank you
I started out as an Erin Condren planner but slowly moved to putting more into my phone. I'm new to HP so I wish I had known to watch your videos before I started filling in my planner. I've spent most of my Christmas break (and christmas money) watching your videos and buying supplies.
This video is honest and true which is so refreshing. You look so good in this video too, healthy, happy and energised. Your an inspiration for so many, keep up the good work xxx
I started happy planning in the Summer. I have loved to plan since birth I think. This system and Erin Condren truly have changed my life for the better as well. I even used the happy planner to plan my stay at the hospital. It truly focuses my life!!!!
This is great! I REALLY love that you mentioned that you purchase items that you yourself don't actually use, but buy them solely to demonstrate/flip-through them on your channel. I like that you made it very clear that this is your business and source of income. So often, many of us, myself included, see planning videos created by people who have "all of the things", with the lovely beautifully decorated planner space, and feel serious planner envy. :-) We forget, or don't realize that they weren't purchased for personal use, but as a business expense. For some folks dealing with planner stuff all day is WORK. It may be a fun job, but it's still work in the end.
I've just discovered your channel this week and you are soooooo bubbly and fun. Great content. I'm a newbie and learning alot with you as my teacher. I must be partial to teachers, because I watch a great rockhounding channel and he's the best, and he also happens to be a teacher. Keep the great information coming. Love you!!! Teachers Rock!! BTW, I'm a nurse!
What are some good communities to get into when you are new to planning and that people are willing to help and give you ideas and advice in a positive way? Thanks in advance for the answers. Much luv Jamie
I have gone sticker crazy. I buy any brand as happy planner do not have camping stickers and that is another big part of my life. I also buy Disney characters stickers whenever I can. I am new at planning as this is my second year. Some weeks come out great looking, some don't but it does keep me organize so... 📒😍❤️
Thanks for this video. One point really strikes home which is the fun you have when interacting with other planners in person. I finally found a planner group in my city that meets once a month and then has events and I am soooo excited!
Haha Heather this video is on point. So true in so many levels. I agree with all. But the #1 thing I would advice is Yes stay away from negative people. Aside from all the planner community is great. And yes pens are really personal. Like with the gel pens everyone was raving about them but till this day I still can’t like em. 😁
Heather I just began planning this past August and I started because I saw your videos..... This was the very very best video and so helpful thank you for sharing your talent with us so we can be better organized......So thankful.....
I agree with what you said about not having to buy everything. I personally believe the less resources you have, the more your creativity and resourcefulness will come out. :) I own a stash of stationery tho. 🤣
I sincerely enjoy your channel! I really love “Frixion” pens that have eraselable ink! They are a joy to write with, too! I special order the .5’s and they make me happy because I do not have to worry about making a mistake. Just erase! Xx
Paget .. did you know the Frixion pens with caps have larger barrels to hold more ink than the clickable ones do? .. i DO LOVE Frixion. But ya have to be careful with them. I have a deskpad where i put various lists under the clear flap. I set a warm plate on it (because i like eating at my desk) and was upset to find the Frixin ink had disappeared from a list under it. Even after putting the list in the freezer overnite, the ink reappeared very faintly & spotty.
I loved them too, but have stopped using because the ink will dissapear if the page gets moist or wet. My grandson spilled water and some of it wicked into my planner and erased all of our wonderful vacation memories - lesson learned :D
I started in 2018 because I had to figure out work and time for my daughter since then I love it and got two now one for work and everything and the other for TV shows my FB and TH-cam
I am so glad I found this video because I've just started using the Happy Planner. I was using spirals and my phone and neither work for me because I need to be able to see my entire week - ALL week, all day - so that I can remember important items/dates. I have to admit I wanted to buy so much more but realized quickly that I wouldn't use all of those stickers and accessories, just because they don't fit into my lifestyle. This video was SUPER HELPFUL! THANK YOU!!
I totally agree that it's a thing that people feel like they're disloyal if they utilize multiple brands! I think that it takes time to understand what styles and brands best suit you. Great advice!
Never a truer statement than about the washi! I also started in 2014/2015 (with a HP!) and I have more washi than I will use for the rest of my lifetime!
I just bought a new planner for 2020 and I am very excited for this journey. And your videos have really helped me getting prepared ☺️. It's my first time planning ever.
I am new to planning this year and I’ve already learned so many helpful tips! I think by far the best one I’ve learned is that STICKERS DONT HAVE TO BREAK YOUR BANK!!! So many wonderful shops on Etsy have printable sticker kits that only cost a few dollars and you can download and print from home. Sure you may have to cut them out if you don’t have a cutting machine but a little more effort can save you a TON of money. (Plus you can print them again and again!)
Thank you Heather! I started using my Happy Planner/Tul planner/Arc planner when my phone dumped my calendar. I knew then that I had to start writing down my schedule of events. I have 5 kids and to lose all of their school schedules was heart wrenching. So, I now keep a paper planner and I love the disc bound planners because if I dont get something done on my To Do list, I just take it out and move it to the next day. That's why I haven't gone back to a spiral bound planner. But like you said, it is a personal decision on which planner you use.
OMG listen I brought so many washi tapes and ask how many I use? A select few but I habit that when Hobby Lobby has a sale I buy lol. I always go into their clearance section and purchase the inexpensive tape that is super cute.
This is why I went back to paper planning. Because I used put it on my phone only. And my daughter erased all my data and everything. So it restarted like it was a new phone. I tried everything to get my info back and nothing. So now I do both.
I love your comment about pens! As I was watching, my package arrived with those same Erin Condren pens you use. I was so excited to try them- and I don’t like them! 😂 You’re so right, it is such as personal choice!
I love my filofax and kikki.K A5 ring binders but with Happy Planner insides and stickers from ALL over the place. I use everything and anything that catches my attention. :) Planning should make us happy.
I have been using planners/agendas since 2005....but NEVER crossed my mind that I could DECORATE them and have fun doing it....now I use an ECLP and also use 2 happy planner for my budget and work things....
Hey Heather...you're so sparkly in this video 😁 you're enthusiasm is not very helpful for my struggle to not get lost in the addiction of getting all the goodies that are out there 🤣🤣🤣 but I'm a newby to the planner world so I take you're advise to hard 🤗🤗
Planning is personal. 💕 You sum it all up with that line.
I am addicted to planning, planner, stickers! All of it! But it makes me happy and I am productive and utilize it very well.
I'm a newbie planner :)
A few things I have learned:
* I have tried several other times to use a planner and tbh my downfall was other planners and what I mean by that is that my planner was not as "pretty" as others, I didn't have all the cute accessories, etc. etc. I have come to realize that NO ONE else will be looking at my planner and I will just do what works for me and not hold my planner up to others expectations of what a great planner looks like. :)
*You can use a planner WITHOUT all the extras. All you really need is a planner and a pen.
*You don't have to go spend 60+ bucks on a planner. You can plan with a notebook & pen or there are many affordable options.
*Just get started with each passing month you will find what works for you.

"Why do you need a paperplnner when you can use your phone?" --- My answer: YOU DONT HAVE TO CHARGE YOUR PLANNER AND MISS APPOINTMENTS"😋
My answer: I do keep one on my phone as I really like getting the alerts, BUT I love to also write it down and getting to be creative and decorate my paper planner.
if you loose yoou phine then what????? that was my answer
@@hammerjammer1 agreed I love writing stuff down!!
Heather, you covered so many of the same things that would be on my list too! One other thing I wish I had known was to “preplan” with sticky notes instead of going through the whole year and writing everything down on the pages!
Nice idea .. but sticky notes have gotten soooooo expensive i rarely use them anymore. An erasable frixion pen or two works best for my budget.
Good video.
That an easy weekly layout of washi top and bottom gets me off and running
And that Michaels bargin bin has multiple fun washis 3-5 for one buck
That a little casual scrap from pretty catalogs ,magazines , soap wrappers ,etc can be more fun than a carefully designed sticker
That fooling around on a weekly layout .... I can sketch with colored pencils and a phone photo for inspiration - though I did not think I could draw before
That yes it is ok to use Erin Condren plus disc planners for varied purposes - that a planner is more than that - it is an integrated time sensitive way to archive work , memories , and more
I like that word "integrated" .. having an 'integrated planner system' sounds so much better than 'my collection of various planners i use for different purposes' 😉
My reason for paper planning is I love love love the crafting of it... it’s fun and relaxing. #planningismyjam💕
Really enjoyed this video. I'm new to the planner community. I started last year, mainly to make to do lists and keep a journal so I will have the dates different things happened. I have found I use it for more than that. I am old to the planner game at 71 but still really like it.
You are never too old. I am 73 and love to decorate. Love watching Heather -- she has so many great ideas. Good Luck with your planning.
@@sherryegermeier3421 thank you, sherry. Like you said never too old.
I'm an older lady too and I'm so happy that I am not the only one !
I gave my 89 year old Grandma a mini Happy Planner in April 2019 that I customized for her and she loves it. She said it has helped her so much.
I'm 77 and 2020 is my 1st year. Yeaaa
Yes, "paper" for a budget. I want to have as much info in front of me when working on details. Thank you! Have a blessed New Year!
Yes! I'm a minimalist, so Happy Planning comes easy to me...I ONLY buy what I need and what has a true purpose. My 2 sticker books, 3 pens/highlighters and ONE planner is more than enough until they're fully used. :)

This!
@@beccaplans Thank you😃
Bunny T hey wanted to update/edit my comment... the at a glance pages/days are the “perpetual calendar” pages (that’s the correct name for that section) and Heather has a very easy to follow 50 ways/topics for using that.
One of the members connected with me and sent me one month of the horizontal, one month of the vertical, and one month of the dashboard layouts so I could try before I buy to see which one worked for me.
what a neat idea!!!
What planner group? I would love someone to do this for me!
@@katherinemeade9912 It was one of the happy planner facebook groups. I've joined several since then, so I'm not sure which one it was. Search happy planner and several should come up.
Will do - thank you!
What a beautiful thing to do💕
Thank you for sharing so many practical tips!
Your passion and excitement is so fun to watch Heather!!
Sometimes apps crash and don't open when needed. Writing them down is good to.
2020 is my first, and if I could describe it in one word, it would be "magical."
I can't really explain it.
Agree with your list but LOVE #8 the most
I like to keep some things old school. There's so much digital these days. I like to go back to my roots with certain things. Your number 2 prompted this lol
LOL about the washi...I did it!!! I have probably 60 rolls of washi!!!
I love how happy you are when talking HP. So awesome!
Thank you.
Omg, just your vibe is all I need it today. Thank you!!
Screaming... I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you heather ❤️❤️all your videos !! My daughter is a such a creative planner ! I’m learning from her and you !!
Thanks.
I bought the Deco Pens and I agree, that was a product line they should never have done. Even us seasoned planners can learn from this. Thanks!
Omg, I looove the deco pens! So much fun!!
Isn’t it their job to sell you a product? So they should just accommodate you and not tell you how to plan! I love my Happy Planner as well!!
I love the stickers most !
Would you care to donate your leftovers that arent quite your style? I'm just starting and have little to work with...total sticker lover
I’m guilty of that too!
There is some REAL TALK in this video. Appreciate this video. You're the best Heather. 💕
Not to mention, that in terms of sizes I only purchase Erin Condren printable
stickers so I can resize them smaller to fit my inserts.
Heather,
Thank you for being apart of my planner journey. In the beginning I was constantly comparing my spreads and ideas to others and found myself really down and out. And then, I heard you say it- comparison is the theft of joy. Like wow, hit me straight in the chest girl. I’ve been able to step back and create some things on my own and find my own style while still admiring others.
That should be a motto written on bumperstickers or planner stickers or on a wall mural ..
"Comparison is the theft of joy"
👍😊
Thank you for your videos!! They are so helpful for a planner newbie
I'm a newbie and your videos are really helpful and informative. TY so much ❤😊
I started happy planning in the Summer. I have loved to plan since birth I think. This system and Erin Condren truly have changed my life for the better as well. I even used the happy planner to plan my stay at the hospital. It truly focuses my life!!!!
Pen n paper here! Computers know too much about you already👏
Your video is great. Your tips are wonderful and super helpful. Thanks for sharing this. Love all your videos.
I just love watching your videos Heather. You are always so joyful and positive.
Everything you said you put together so nicely...you always hit the nail on the head. I'm excited to be new to planning. Awesome video!!😊
Heather
I just began planning this past August and I started because I saw your videos.....
This was the very very best video and so helpful thank you for sharing your talent with us so we can be better organized......So thankful.....
Well welcome to the community!!!!!!!!!🥳🎉
I am new! But yes I thought all of this, especially the cost of the fluff.
I agree with what you said about not having to buy everything. I personally believe the less resources you have, the more your creativity and resourcefulness will come out. :)
I own a stash of stationery tho.
I'm 51 and just got my first planner. I found you and love your videos!
I'm a newbie and I love your videos!
But to do that what paper, sticker sheets do you use and what printer? I would like to but they turn out bad!
Ugh at #2 but sooooo true!!! I need to WRITE things down!
Thank you for these tips! Great for a newbie planner like me :)
You're soooooo amazing! I love watching your videos ❤
This is a really good video! Thank you!!
Or what is your best video for planner organization and how to make it extra cute lol Thanks again!
Its CRAZY how personal pens really are!
