Just started fishing, bought a lifetime collection from an old man. Been watching your videos a few times & caught 4 big rainbow trout my first 2 times ever! Was only out there for about an hour every time as it's been so hot here in BC. I'm going for bull trout next week. Greetings from the Canadian Rockies.

Take a collar chunk of another grub, pinch a little chunk off, and thread it on the hook to splay the tails apart. Instant improvement and slows the sink rate a good bit as well.

I like when the bobber starts to get taken to the side like jaws. One day I was fishing Storrie lake in Las Vegas , NM. And I didn't see or feel a bite but I saw my bobber going across the water. man that fish was getting speed.

Calm waters on the pond, line is flat on the surface slowly moving with the water and then the line starts to straighten out, 30 feet away a giant trout jumps in the air with your powerbait in his mouth. Thats a great feeling. And then of course the fight.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve never seen these used on open water before and never thought to use them on open water. We use them for ice fishing and catch a lot of fish all different species. I found this channel yesterday and have been binging the videos it’s nice to see a channel that does trout fishing and not just fly fishing trout. I live in northern Utah and it’s mostly trout out here and usually TH-cam channels focus on bass or other species.

Thank you for this video. I purchased one of these kits several years ago and never had any luck. Turns out I wasn't doing it right. Hell, I was doing it all wrong. Gonna try again this coming Monday and I'm betting I have better luck with them. Your videos are some of the best out there. I was at Fisherman's Marine in Oregon City today and the most experienced guy at the fishing counter asked me "have you ever seen the Addicted Fishing videos on TH-cam?" I told him that I had and he said to just keep watching your videos and I'd do fine.

@@seanmadden3918 Yep. As a truck driver I have little time at home for fishing, but I've nailed two on the magnets one morning when everybody else was using (and losing) with PowerBait. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE PowerBait; it serves me well. It would just seem that sometimes the fish are in the mood for something different.

Great videos. One comment about what you said. You said these things work great where trout are concentrated right after stocking. I could throw practically anything in a school of freshly stocked trout and catch something.
I did pick these up last year but didn't get a chance to use them. I'll be trying them this spring when the seasons open.
Our streams are hatching caddis. The nymphs are green and so, tomorrow I'm going to throw green trout magnets .

  • @DocbritoFMF

So I stumbled upon magnets looking for something simple and fun to get my son into lure fishing, then late winter early spring I was eager to do some fishing and couldn't get bites I knew the local pond had trout so I threw on one of the magnet hookjigs and a trout worm from power bait and boom I couldn't stop catching trout this lead me to rethink my trout fishing style and try the other magnet trout products and now I won't use much else aside from magnets and rooster tails. They truely work great.. magnet makes a ultra light rod and reel combo that dicks sells for like 20 bucks which for a cheap rod is at least better then walmart but the reel feels like trash so I didn't give it a shot. One thing though when I fish them I don't see the point in the float I just keep the line just a tad slacked and jig till I feel the fish

I noticed with the trout magnet I'm using for the first time this year that the trout are barely hooked, easy to release safely. I have caught 50 trout in a day on it. I used powerbait exclusively prior to this and every fish was gut hooked. Best colors for me are white and the yellow.
