@@jasoncorey nope neither are aggressive just didn’t know with littermates who do you choose for hierarchy after the humans or is there such a thing as keeping them equal. Like you have the boys in order because BW was older so he is higher than JJ but when you have littermates how do you choose one over the other to be in command ?
It is usually obvious who they see as the leader. You can't choose....the dogs see it as who is the strongest leader in the house. I was the main train, the one with them more etc so naturally they see me as the stronger leader.
@@jasoncorey okay I see now yes it is my husband who does most of the training even though I am the stricter one but they listen well to both of us. Having Luke longer he does listen better we have only had Crimsyn for a week now. My husband and I are very consistent with our training for the most part I would say the only time we differ is when it comes to play time. I say they need more breaks and so I do make them break more often and my husband does back me on it he doesn’t contradict me so that’s good. Luke doesn’t settle down as easily as Crimmie so a few times I have had to grab his scruff and tell him to settle or leave it and he then lays down. I think he is going to be a little more higher energy than Crimmie but overall they are so good and have very good temperaments for being only almost 6 mos of age. They sit, lay, fetch, tug, heal, not stay quite yet working on that. But overall learning at a really good pace. Play hard and rest well
They smell horrible!!🤢 Been living in Italy lika 6 years now so i've met a lot of these dogs..they got a certain smell😷 Majestic and beautiful ofc, but the downside is theire "perfume". Why do they small like that?
Great refresher! I needed to hear the part about you advising saving the touching/affection for when they did something for you... reminding us how powerful a reinforcement our touch is to our dog. Thank you! Wishing you all happiness& peace!
Best and most helpful video I’ve seen in a while. Thank you for not using scare tactics and fear mongering. My 18 month old corso is such an amazing animal. I agree it all about training and training never stops. Thanks so much for making this video
I just realized that even chihuahua owners NEED to heed your five points, as well! They're the SAME ISSUES that cause aggression and biting within this very popular breed and other small/toy dog breeds. It's such great advice to all dog lovers!
I'm more wary of little dogs. I've got a Corso who's a gorgeous boy and I've got a patterdale terrier and she is a tiny terror and most definitely the BOSS! Well in her mind anyway
A lot of dogs like that you have to walk them every day Pitbulls cane, Corso’s Chihuahuas you got a walk those dogs every day teams down the aggression because even Chihuahuas are considered aggressive
I have a 4 years old male Cane Corso & living in Manhattan NYC. I have him since 7& half weeks old. Training starts from day 1 & soon as we step outside, we just have to deal with a bunch of different things. It has not been an easy journey, but now i see the result of our hard work coming together. I honestly can say im glad to have him & Corso is a great dog if you put time & effort in.
Mines a year and a half old now and he still wants to meet everyone. I’ve super socialized him. He still is protective of person and property. But very friendly still lol to friendly sometimes.
This applies to any dog breed. Over loving and under guiding and not honoring a dog being a dog is 100% abuse the dog never gets what it needs. There's a good balance and it includes I'm always the boss, always you do what I ask you to do and you will be highly rewarded and treated better than most people. I taught her respect as a young dog and I give her what she needs which is exercise long walks I taught her manners now she's impeccable.
Major yes to this video! DOG TRAINING NEVER ENDS! Every dog needs consistency to be a “good dog”, and that means constant training. It makes them happy to know they are doing the right thing, and it makes you happy that you have such a well mannered and behaved dog. My dogs never leave the house without my permission, no matter who or what is outside or going on, I can leave any door wide open and they never cross the threshold without a specific command. That is because I do this 100% of the time, walks, potty breaks, car rides, doesn’t matter: “sit”, “wait”, “release!”. They love it, and I am never nervous that they are going to escape and run amok around the neighborhood and possibly get lost or hurt. That is just one of many examples. Be kind and consistent with your dogs, and your bond will never be stronger! 🐾🐾❤
I recently rescued an 18 month old in tact male cane corso. He had a few behaviour issues that I've worked through with him however, he seems to get spooked by silly things then he will bolt and run off. He will not defend himself if an aggressive dog attacks him. Yesterday he ran off from a dog half his size, it took me ages to catch him. I've never seen this type of behaviour in any of the other breed of dogs I've had.
Why do you have a dog off of lead that you have no control over?. It's people like you that ruin every breed especially a big breed like this. Put your dog on a lead till it's 100% reliable which no dog ever is my dog has six Advanced titles CDX TDX UDX Schutzundv3 CGC because she's a big black German Shepherd I don't let her off lead in public even though she can do any commands with hand signals and cues only and she's 99% spot on. With scores of over 783 in schuetzen which is unheard of because she's a female she outscored intact males all the time. Her obedience is perfection it Split Second I barely have to get the word out if I'm using verbal cues and it's done and it's done perfectly. I don't take her in public off lead. If your dog runs off it's not a trained dog and you are not the leader. The dog is ignoring you and you don't have any control over it. My dog has a spot on recall even if she's chasing a squirrel. You will never achieve that level so your dog should never be off of lead
Beautiful big dogs. I've a almost 7 Ultimate Mastiff-Neapolitan/DDB he's brilliant and a great guardian around the house brilliant personality but he knows his place in the hierarchy.
Territorial Video…I definitely need this because my one year old cane corso is calmer than before but still gets a little overly defensive. But I could be wrong about what it is so I would like the video.
My cane corso gets extremely excited when my wife gets home from work and jumps on her and kisses her but his claws hurt and he doesn't mean to hurt her he just loves her SO much
I watch your videos....THIS IS YOUR BEST VIDEO EVER.....GREAT JOB.....I HAVE A MALE FULL BRINDLE 7 YR OLD ....I TRY TO EXPLAIN THE HEIRARCHY TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY....but they still look at him (my CANE) as IF HE'S A CHIWAWA......
I had a female Rottweiler with food possession issues caused by the first owner not being the alpha or pack leader apparently they couldn't enter or leave the kitchen when she was eating because of her behaviour.
I had a male, Cane Corso, for 11 years. He was such a sweetheart. Just protective enough, just territorial enough. And friendly enough. He loved all children, as they would play with him. Now, I have a 2 years old female Cane Corso. Totally different dog and character. So, since you have both male and female, did you notice any differences between the two? Might be a video idea if you have enough material. Thanks!
I have a sarplaninac female which is a guard breed too and she's can be very protective and territorial as well. She can be very excited but extremely rarely aggressive
5:37 You are correct! People listen to this man!!! My advise...Not for first to 3rd time pet owner. I bred and showed Dogue De Bordeaux. Think always you are alpha in the pack. I do the same with horses. Pecking order and respect.
I fostered a staffy recently. Perhaps a wee bit pittie in there. The first time she had too much energy and tried to engage with me to play, I almost popped my pants. Ever seen two german shepherds playing? Sometimes it's not aggression. It just looks that way.
My mother told me not to baby my dog so much, but it’s so darn fun to give him hugs and treats. But, …you’re probably right since you are the professional. 🐶✌️
Excellent video. This should go with all dog breeds imo, but yes it's extremely important with large and guardian breeds. I've 6 dogs now as lost a few over the last year. I've various breeds including chihuahuas, staffy cross German shep, belgain malinois and a young, 13 month rottweiler. They are all trained the same and have the same boundaries within the home. My rottie is at the age of trying to push it but whatever we ask, of he refuses, we follow through like you said. I didn't raise all my current dogs. Some cane as adults and some with behaviour issues of some sort. They soon learned the rules and their places.
❤🖤❤ I fell in love with Bruce Wayne the first time I saw him😍. As a CVT, my experience with cane corsos was limited, but not great. I learned to be very cautious around them, but not straight-up fearful. Looking back, I can see the issues were more from the owners' IGNORANCE and POOR TRAINING than from the dogs' breed. 🏆Bruce has definitely won me over to this breed, though I think most people AREN'T SUITED to be guardians over such an intelligent and powerful dog like him❤. For me, I'm sticking to my chihuahuas, which actually BITE WAAAAY MORE PEOPLE than cane corsos do! 🧸Of course, that's because many owners treat them like STUFFED TOYS and don't train them adequately. 👏Thank you for being such amazing and responsible ambassadors for this misunderstood dog breed.
Many people misunderstand dogs and treat them like humans. Dogs have fundamentally different needs and behaviors. Obedience training reveals this clearly. What might seem important to us, humans, often holds no significance for dogs. Their communication is deeper, more instinctual, and less easily faked. This can be challenging for some owners to grasp.
Clickbait....it is all in how you raise them. I've had several and not one of them ever showed aggression toward anyone invited into my home or property
Territorial Cane Corso we have Ace he is 20 months intact my family want him to be castrated? which I am not happy about because he’s got such a wonderful temperament. What do you think? I’d like to know what you think? Jason? Thank you.
I don’t own a Cane Corso, nor do I plan on purchasing one, but I do have a question that I’m curious to find out your answer, you mentioned socialization, but then How do you teach and expect your dog to be a protective guardian when they have so much socialization?.
My 3 year old cane Corso has begun resource guarding food that is in his cage from my friends, he even did it to my gf last week which obviously couldn’t run so I got her to feed him for a week, making him sit during feeding and receive a treat now he’s okay with her when he has food. any tips? I would also like to say that he was very hard to socialise as a puppy as his fear led him to jump all over dogs and be skittish around humans but I have taught him to ignore dogs and people, showing him they are no threat through leadership guidance and treats. Is this ok? These are his 2 main issues other than that he is perfect
I feel like Bruce and JJ will live a long time because of the well rounded carryout and the Mrs. provide in addition to all the love. They are very well balanced animals. When the time comes will you get a new dog? I hope that I did not insult you by asking not my intentions. I used to have dogs for the better part of the last 20years. It has been hard to not have one now going on 6years and I have really been missing it. Like you I am a very responsible owner who enjoys the entire process of ownership ( from breeder to responsible dog adult). 99.999% of your entire philosophy I agree with. I have been researching breeds and going to go the guardia breed route (Boerboel aka Farmers dog). I've always had large working dog breeds. But this will be the largest and I have established a great relationship w/a wonderful breeder over the last 3 years that I believe is responsible, a good man, loves the breed, and is very much what I believe a great kennel leader should be (Rui Navarro-Elite Boerboels). The point, you do a great job Corey and this man respects your leadership and your hustle, and your grizzly aka grind. Say hello to the boys for me Bruce and J-Dubb. Will you ever get a female Corso?
Hello. Great videos. Beautiful dogs. Last month a rescued a 7yo cane Corso,,,his.belly was full of cancer and (so horrible) I had to send him Over the Rainbow Bridge , we were only together less then a month. He was a gentle giant. Today I rescued a mix Cane Corso that was also in the shelter for over a year,,,he was gonna be put down because he is who he is. Beloo is a sweet guy and in time I hope I can train him a bit better. He is about 3 or 4 yo. Any suggestions?
Hi Jason. Same with children. Folks are too scared to discipline their children for fear of what others think. Lack of discipline does not help dogs nor kids.
Are his ears naturally like that or have they been cut , just asking the question as dogs use their ears going up or back or flat with different moods.
My cousin had a Cane Corso from a young puppy. He tried to kill her when she came through her backyard gate. He literally dragged her around the backyard by her pony tail. If it wasn’t for her son hearing her screams she is sure that he would have killed her. No one should own this breed or Pit Bulls without really knowing the breed. It’s a must to be a pack leader especially with powerful dogs.
I own both. One male Corso, one pit bull and one bully xl. I have 5 cats, had two litters of kittens. Neighbours have 2 dogs, one German Shepard, one Shetland sheepdog. 2 teenage daughters , one son and a never ending door being opened with all there friends coming and going. Parents dropping off friends , new friends being made / etc. never an issue. The Corso keeps those coming and going in check and the bully xl and pitbull give everyone lots of kisses. If your a newbie or stranger, you don’t dare step out of your car until I’ve let you know it’s okay, and that’s after I’ve let the dogs know, it’s okay. Breeding my Corso and bully xl this fall. Keeping at least half the pups. 😂
It’s so hard when 2 adults in the household do the complete opposite handling of a dog. It’s so hard! I sent him this video ( and many with the same ethics) and I get “ but he ( the dog) loves me so much. Ugh!
Agree both people need to be on the same page....all that happens is what you do and instill in your dog is undone by the other and leads the dog to be very confused.
I'm fostering a gorgeous Cane Corso right now in San Diego, CA. She looks just like BW! . She's such a good girl, so affectionate. Anyone interested, go to The Animal Rescue Center of California. Her name is Luna.
My Corso going on 5 years old used to be SUUUPER aggressive as a puppy. This changed through a professional training course and gradually introducing her to mor e people and more dogs to get to where she is today, which is a dog that is more outwardly playful - though not necessarily trusting - of new people and a very behaved walker. That being said, she unfortunately has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, so she may not be with me much longer. Still a beautiful and wonderful dog.
I am absolutely in love with this breed, but I know my personality would not be a good match. I know for a fact I would baby it too much and at 51, my arthritic knees could not keep up with a cane corso. i would not do the breed justice.
I've been told many times that i need to leave my dog to live its puppyhoood - those people cannot come to the dog park now, because they have no control on their dogs. It is sad.
I like how everyone thinks you got to buy a "papered" dog from a "reputable breeder"... lol like people can't breed a good quality pet without having a paper certificate... instantly call you a "backyard breeder".. how about 100 or more years back, before they had registered dogs and pet lineage, were they considered "backyard breeders"? As far as I'm aware they bred a lot of great dogs and even preserved genetics, such as the cane corso that almost went extinct.
Do some research and you will see how many people breed to make a quick buck leading to many health and temperament issues. I never said EVERY case for that will lead to that. But if you want to reduce your chances don't buy from a backyard breeder. Just speaking facts where it sounds like you may be speaking from emotions.
@jasoncorey lol bunch of bs, your stating nonsense. People been breeding dogs for ages, and those dogs were good working dogs. That's facts. If you have good genetics and you know your dogs are perfectly stable, have no hip issues, and the typical issues associated with your breed, you can surely make good pups, if you think not you are full of it. You can buy papered dogs and still get a horrible animal, just because you have a paper doesnt mean it's a good pet. You spent 5k+ on your dogs doesn't mean that someone's $500 dog isn't as good. I mean you almost unalived the dog a few months back... but your going tell me your speaking from facts. Maybe you should do a bit of research buddy. And your peddling dog training courses and books... trying to make the same buck off the dogs as your "backyard breeder" just in a different way.
Help my neighbour has a cane corsa from a pup it has never been for walks doesn't no what a lead is and if it is in the garden and we are in our garden it goes crazy barking trying to get too us it's about 18months now it spends lots of time in the house in a cage don't think that's right
Do you ever get tired of being slobbered on? My nephew had an English Mastiff and it slobbered all over me all the time. He would also go under my feet and then stand up and I am short so for a second I would be riding him. Why do big dogs do that?
my corso is obedient, nice to people or don't care about them at all ( kids too) and cuddly and all but if she sees another dog it's war. got her from a shelter where she was in for many years and now she is 6. i can hold her when she sees another dog but it is anoying every time. she even attacked a plastik dog what stood in front of a flower shop cause she thought it is a real one. my other dog (pitbull) i have since he was 2 months old (now 9 years) never had any trouble with her tho. from the first moment they were like ok you stay there i stay here and we occasionaly sniff each other for the first month. now they are best friends. i can hardly go realy far from my home with her because there are a lot of dogs arround and i can hold her but i don't trust that other dog owners can hold theyrs and well huntress is a unit. i can also not just go to a park and make her "socialize" because the other dog would not even have a chance to get close anyway. at least she can play with my other dog, me and my roommate what is fortunately to lazy to go out with the dogs most of the time because i don't trust her to hold huntress at all. xD
It is not for everyone. Too many considerations to have to be constantly monitoring one’s human behavior….especially when there are babies in the house. Not worth the risk.
Territorial video would be great all your videos have been very helpful I'm disabled and not strong enough to walk our Corso Bull but I do spend a lot of time with her and she is so gentle with me do you think she senses my disabilities
Belgium Malinois also do this. Why? Because they ARE dominant and have built in guarding tendencies. Protective and aggressive are separated by a mighty fine line because they are "animals" my Belgium Mali has an episode like this at least once a day, and she draws blood! But if you can't take it then you should NOT have this type of dog. Get a Labradoodle Instead! My girl is 4, obedient but the resource guarding is her thing. We do not let ANYONE pet her.
territorial video please. My Pup is 2yrs old and he is not territorial or aggressive. he ia very laid back, kind and docile. but he is is showing signs every once in a while towards others. especially when strange people come around my grand daughter's and wife.

Is very much like to see how to handle 'sudden' aggression. My two St. Bernards would do that
I’m blessed to just care for 2 basset hounds that won’t rip me to shreds.
These guys would not rip me to shreds. You need to understand dogs a little more my friend.
Thank You ❤
Can we have a territorial video pls and bruse is a beautiful dog
Many people misunderstand dogs and treat them like humans. Dogs have fundamentally different needs and behaviors. Obedience training reveals this clearly. What might seem important to us, humans, often holds no significance for dogs. Their communication is deeper, more instinctual, and less easily faked. This can be challenging for some owners to grasp.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing

Hello My name is Dell I have a Cain Corsa 7weeks Beautiful but scary He needs a Forever home Don't know what to do Can not keep him Any suggestions?
Bruce Wayne Super Gorgeous his so amazing sweetest good boy i adore and Love him so very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Clickbait....it is all in how you raise them.
Jason? Thank you.
I have 3 videos up on spay and neuter ...you can see what I think in those videos
Yeah right ✅️ Bruce is friendly towards you
I don’t own a Cane Corso, nor do I plan on purchasing one, but I do have a question that I’m curious to find out your answer, you mentioned socialization, but then How do you teach and expect your dog to be a protective guardian when they have so much socialization?.
Exactly as you just said ....they are guardians by nature so they see what's normal by socializing them
My 3 year old cane Corso has begun resource guarding food that is in his cage from my friends, he even did it to my gf last week which obviously couldn’t run so I got her to feed him for a week, making him sit during feeding and receive a treat now he’s okay with her when he has food.
0:20 “What the f*ck are you looking at?”
🤣
Thanks!
Thanks for the support bro 💪
Hi Jason. Same with children. Folks are too scared to discipline their children for fear of what others think. Lack of discipline does not help dogs nor kids.
Agree
Are his ears naturally like that or have they been cut , just asking the question as dogs use their ears going up or back or flat with different moods.
My cousin had a Cane Corso from a young puppy. He tried to kill her when she came through her backyard gate. He literally dragged her around the backyard by her pony tail. If it wasn’t for her son hearing her screams she is sure that he would have killed her. No one should own this breed or Pit Bulls without really knowing the breed. It’s a must to be a pack leader especially with powerful dogs.
Too many ignorant owners getting a dog for looks not knowing how to train. Glad Nobody got SRS injured
That's pretty normal behaviour if dog doesn't recognise the owner and owner enters the property. A Pitbull doesn't protect anything.
Never heard of a pit doing.that.
@@JacobBlom-i6q If the dog has a functioning nose it should recognize its owner.Sounds more like the dog has no respect for its owner
I got bit by a big dog on the bus last saturday. And your dog now looks scary😢
Sorry to hear I hope you are ok
That dog just likes to play.
No. ⚖️
I have a shar pei and theyre very person protecting and shes not interested in other dogs
I agree
Ţhank you. A lot of great tips
It is sad.
Territorial video please
Done and posted 💪
❤❤❤
Bruce Wayne just keeps getting better looking.all.the time!
thank you for reviewing this beautiful breed, maybe a little too much dog for me lol mine is only 20 lbs, i cant imagine a 155 lbs
Help my neighbour has a cane corsa from a pup it has never been for walks doesn't no what a lead is and if it is in the garden and we are in our garden it goes crazy barking trying to get too us it's about 18months now it spends lots of time in the house in a cage don't think that's right
That's heartbreaking 😢
Report it immediately to animal services thats an attack waiting to happen
Do you ever get tired of being slobbered on? My nephew had an English Mastiff and it slobbered all over me all the time. He would also go under my feet and then stand up and I am short so for a second I would be riding him. Why do big dogs do that?
They don't slobber much like a English or St Bernard does.
Why would anyone ever keep a breed that could get aggressive with them or their family members? Crazy.
Even a chihuahua can get aggressive with you or family members if it is spoiled and treated like a baby rather than a dog
Just out of curiosity, why is he intact?
I have done multiple videos on how harmful spay and neuter is on dogs....check those out.
Territorial video Jason if you have the time.

my corso is obedient, nice to people or don't care about them at all ( kids too) and cuddly and all but if she sees another dog it's war. got her from a shelter where she was in for many years and now she is 6. i can hold her when she sees another dog but it is anoying every time. she even attacked a plastik dog what stood in front of a flower shop cause she thought it is a real one. my other dog (pitbull) i have since he was 2 months old (now 9 years) never had any trouble with her tho. from the first moment they were like ok you stay there i stay here and we occasionaly sniff each other for the first month. now they are best friends. i can hardly go realy far from my home with her because there are a lot of dogs arround and i can hold her but i don't trust that other dog owners can hold theyrs and well huntress is a unit. i can also not just go to a park and make her "socialize" because the other dog would not even have a chance to get close anyway. at least she can play with my other dog, me and my roommate what is fortunately to lazy to go out with the dogs most of the time because i don't trust her to hold huntress at all. xD
Territorial video please.

Is this breed good with cats?
It is not for everyone. Too many considerations to have to be constantly monitoring one’s human behavior….especially when there are babies in the house. Not worth the risk.
Territorial video would be great all your videos have been very helpful I'm disabled and not strong enough to walk our Corso Bull but I do spend a lot of time with her and she is so gentle with me do you think she senses my disabilities

Territorial video 🔥
Up and posted 💪
Territorial video. And why they get so protective of me, but when my wife walks him he behaves better. He thinks everyone is trying to kill me :)
