@StyleLikeU thank you for inpiring me to work with my mom who is an antiques dealer. I think it is a challenge & takes patience. I grew up going to antique shows & estate sales & private viewings of peoples crazy eccentric mansions. It is an amazing and beautiful artistic life the people live. That is the beauty of individuality. The suprising thing is these people live all over the world, not just in Paris, NY, London, LA, etc. Thanks! & keep it up!

Interesting mother and daughter - how fortunate to visit and shoot interesting people.
I'm with you on the fabulous doors, (and historic buildings) in Paris - what a wonderfully large, and varied city.

I was moved to tears, my heart wants to burst from these amazing moments that you have with these amazing people. When the Opera singer played the piano, I was transfixed. The tears came. My father played Moonlight Sonata? when we were children. I feel like Alice down the rabbit hole, Ive seen my mother's beautiful interior decorations & heard people insult her that her home is like an antique store that just got inventory. They cant understand. But there ARE people who do, visual people, creative minds with so much passion & self fulfilment. And for you to be meeting these wonderful people through references, each one carrying a light, and recognizing a light in another, to embrace & to support one another, is sacred. No jealousy or anger, no fashion shaming or eye rolling at someone's raw emotion & attitude towards their own style. Theres something so wise here, unlike the cold, monotonous world of 'famous' bloggers & designers, & front row occupiers, I believe a revolution is coming & this unimaginative cold & precise commercialized way of doing things will come to an ungraceful & forgettable end.

"He didn't speak English so we needed an interpreter" omg. You travel to a different country and still don't think YOU are the person who doesn't speak the language... Most people will say: I didn't speak French so I needed an interpreter. Get your head out of your a..

Late to this but...every single non-native French speaker I know has told me stories about speaking French and the French person immediately switching to English, no matter how good the non-French person was speaking French. French-Canadians who speak the language have had this happen. It's a very common story that French people will switch to English the minute they hear your accent and realize you aren't French. So perhaps the attitude you had a problem with, came from hard experience and not cultural chauvinism on the part of the English-speakers.
