Went to Great America yesterday and they were playing this song while we were standing in line. My son and I were dancing to it and having a great time while waiting.
Every Friday my friend sends this video to me, every week I sit there and listen- it then is stuck in my head the entire week and when it finally leaves it’s suddenly Friday again and the whole process starts over
I still love this ride despite the roughness of it. The theming and theatrical effects are perfect. This music just makes me feel nostalgic for a time I was never alive. This song makes me think that this demon lurks in the dark, yet he could also transform into a more humanoid look, suave suit and tie, and ask to dance with you.
I loved working at this place. I ran the hot shop which sold mugs of root beer for 5C, I was there bartender and I could send a mug of soda from where I pour the contents and it would come sliding down the bar and stop with the handle facing you. I also remember the manager of the different departments we all worked at would come up to us when we were about to punch out and say, "thanks for coming in today, You did a great job." This compliment made me want to come back the next day. I don't think they have the HOP SHOP there any more. Sir Charlie Brown
I wish someone had the other audio they would play with the new reporters tracking attacks and such by "The Demon" around the track and such. I recall this would be played for a bit and then this awesome song would roll. Last time I was in line this year, I yelled at the ride operator and made her turn this up.
I went on the demon when I was like 5 or 6 or 7 and it was so cool and my girly brother was scared to go again so I had to ride next to some random stranger and I couldn't pull my bar thing down and I was scared that the ride would start with my bat still up and I was going to fly off
Being pretty tall this ride hurt my shoulders like hell because of the lack of padding and all of the bumps, but goddamn I cannot get this song out of my head
you cant escape being hurt by this ride, if your tall your shoulders get crushed, if your short your head gets banged around, still one of the best themed rollercoasters in the world.
Was there yesterday, and they did not play this song. But the ride yesterday was a lot better than it was last time it went on 4 years ago. Most likely since I am taller now I was able to keep my head from banging against the restraints.
The demon song is a 10/10 for cheesiness. The ride itself tried to forcibly remove my head from my shoulders through the back to back corkscrew finale. Lived up to its name, I suppose.
Why do the arrows get so much hate? Demon is one of the smoother arrows, my god. Yes, the corkscrews give insane headbanging but it doesn't bother me. This was only my third looping coaster, like seriously. Just lean to the right on the corkscrews and you don't get as much headbanging.
Demon is my favorite coaster ever. I have never understood the complaints because the roughness has always been my favorite part of it! Plus, for air time lovers, it has the strongest ejector air time I have ever felt no matter your location in the cars.
@@indian_coaster_enthusiast ITS 40 YEAR OLD if they change the track its not the demon anymore, it's just an old ride that introduced the concept of multiple loops AND a corkscrew
@@havelthedeadinside1799 actually, i am pretty sure corkscrew @Cedar Point beat Demon to it. I respect Demon for what it is, but that does not change my opinion of it being a boring ride.
@@madduxvalencia9718 WAT. U GUYS ARE WAY MORE BRAVE THAN I AM. I went on the demon when I was ten tho. The six flags I go to the demon shut down. I hated it tho
okay but this still *slaps*
True though
You’re right
100%

I feel like every rollercoaster should have their own theme song
Shockwave should have had HIS own song!! He was always "Electroshockwave" for FrightFest.

"The Demon...he's gonna shake you..."
YES the HOLY HELL he will.
keep your head back!
cgsilverscreen2020 go on the whizzer then say the demon is rough
That's Arrow for ya!
😂 its true..we rode it last weekend the demon left hooked then chin checked me lol.
@@sharkmanxbro7082 I have been on the Whizzer. The Demon is far rougher.
Don’t keep your head back. Float your head and won’t absorb the impact as much
Why can't rollercoasters have awesome songs like this today while waiting in long lines to ride them?
They have restored this song to play in line once again
X flight kinda has one
This song is delightfully disco.
Went to Great America yesterday and they were playing this song while we were standing in line. My son and I were dancing to it and having a great time while waiting.
MkaMee ML not the one in Santa Clara they don’t play it at all.
Six Flags wouldn't see another absolute musical treasure until We Like to Party was released in 1999
yes
Marriott was the one to come up with this!
I enjoyed this song more than the ride.
Huggbees I dance my way to my seat
WAIT YOUR A ROLLERCOASTER ENTHUSIAST? I FUCKING LOVE YOUR HOW IT'S MADE VIDEOS!!
Thank you for making me aware of this song, it slaps.
Lol💃
Was the ride a rinsing or filling machine?

Happy Friday! 😂
My mom still sings this song whenever we're in line for this ride. She's grown up going to the old Marriott so she remembers this
Your mom is a queen 👑
Your mom is a good 😊
Me to great times.
The Ride is painful but its still one of my most favorite coasters of all time, also this song is a banger
i love when roller coasters have their own theme songs. it’s pretty damn cool

absolutely love the rollercoaster but the song makes it so much better at the entrance and something to get hyped as hell for
It's Halloween, time to enjoy this song again!

Gary Owens was the voice of the scary male announcer in the station audio. I instantly recognized him in 2006, waiting for the ride to start.
Great American Thrills posted it on TH-cam!

of all coasters to have a theme song, give it to the most painful one at the park.
That's the beauty -and irony- of it 😉
So y'all don't remember iron wolf then
@@evanvicker5758 fr man, Iron Wolf was BRUTAL back in the day. Glad they got rid of it tbh
@@RAMENn00dleb0y it was kinda rough, but man I’d be lying if I didn’t enjoy it. Maybe it’s the nostalgia-

Still played to this day! Best roller-coaster song!!!

The demonnn!!!! Front row baby!
EVERYTIMEEEEEE
I'd give anything to just go back and be 17 years old again to ride this coaster at Marriotts Great America.
Sounds like some old commercial jingle.. Rode this in 1981 and it was very smooth.. now it's just rough.
you cant escape being hurt by this ride, if your tall your shoulders get crushed, if your short your head gets banged around, still one of the best themed rollercoasters in the world.
I never found it rough
Standing in a 2 hr line 1982...my older brother also performed for HISTORY OF ROCK 1982-83
Had this in my head, or parts of it, for the last 30 years or so. Nice to hear it in its entirety!
The demon on my six flags is 40 and still as awesome.
I never knew I needed to find something so much
I forgot about this!
Good song and a OG roller coaster and my favorite
Demon still to this day has my favorite station music of any roller coaster
I won't to be mad at waiting in line as long as this music is playing
As far as theme songs go, The Demon is the Buck Bumble of rollercoasters
It used to be faster back in the 80s from what I've read.
@@mistermoo7602 wow- when I went on it i thought i was gonna die but it was FASTER BEFORE- omg-
The demon i rode on shut down.
Gonna ride it this summer for 1st time
best q song. it just OOOOZES 1998. what a relic.

Gene Patrick and Tom Merriman made it
