    Great video Andy! Could you help me with an issue I've got? Whenever I load a PS1 game with DIG it takes over an hour to load (these a .bin files) and this is using the reArmed emulator with retroarch - when i load games directly with retroarch they load after a few seconds using the exact same emulator! Do you know how i can fix this to boot up my games through DIG at the same speed as navigating through retroarch?

    Does DIG have any issues adding cue and bin files for CDROM games like PS1, Sega CD, PCE-CD, etc? Great work btw. I might get one of these devices and I appreciate you taking the time making these videos.

    • @andystechvoyage7618
      @andystechvoyage7618  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem at all. In fact, most of my PS1 and Dreamcast games are .bin or .cue. DIG finds them and scrapes images/description.

    • @hdofu
      @hdofu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It adds both, you will usually want to hide the bin files since most emulators won't work or load properly if you use the bin, learn from my mistake here, you probably want to use an app like cd mage to condense down your track files (bins) into one with a new cue. Also your best bet is to not have them in separate folder based by game as it won't always look in sub folders and then you will have to add each folder manually except in the odd situation where it actually does decide to scan them..

    Dig keeps saying it needs my Retroarch Cores. They are all installed and the game boot fine but when exiting it says I still need the CORE and DIG asks me to relaunch retroarch to download the CORE. Which I have all the cores in LOAD CORE. I am using older Android 4.1.1 and Retroarch 1.83. Anyi ideas?

Why might it be doing this? I know the hotkeys work because when I am just in Retroarch I quit by holding select and pressing B.

    Hey, thank you for the video. I just got mine in the mail today and as I was setting it up I realized that if you map "B" to "quit retroarch" while you're still configuring all the hotkeys, there isn't any way to go back to the previous screens, because the back button is now the same as the "quit retroarch" button. As a temporary fix, I just mapped quit retroarch to "L" but this isn't a perfect solution. I'm wondering if you have any advice?

  • @fabricator
    @fabricator 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a real nightmare to setup. Pre-installed OS and emulators are not working or fail to connect to the network. Device connects to random websites without asking the user and without VPN, leaving tracks everywhere. I've been trying for a few hours and impossible to get anything out of it. Whenever I get something to run, there are weird control overlays on top of the game screen, the sound is garbled and the pixels are smoothed, doesn't look good.
    I also have a RK2020, which runs way more emulators and is also much easier to setup, you drop roms onto each folder - done; OS is super user friendly.
    The only "pro" of the Retroid Pocket 2 is the better build and design. All the software running on it is garbage.
    Thanks for making a video to try and make sense of this useless object, but mine doesn't behave like this at all. In RetroArch all I have is a blue background screen with very small font options that are very hard to navigate and every attempt to install a core fails.
