But, I as an Appointed Person (lift planner) this was atrocious to say the least. First, the crane operator hooking from the top (really a bad practice) it should be bottom lifted using special slugs. Second, tag line not followed properly and as a consequence, the load hit the crane, (this is classified as a crane collision) Thirdly, the tag line guidance was terrible, it could really have hit the house, the tag line should ALWAYS be tensed and in a 45-degree angle to the load. Finally, this was not supervised as it is rated as complex lift. Most crane operators should not be making lifting decisions based on complex lifts.
@@truckeralvarez5932 Spot on, too many Cowboys out there, one bump against that House and that's the year's profits gone on damage survey, repairs etc not to mention the Council LEA or HSE getting their Claws in and shutting the outfit down..
It's always funny reading all the experts at the keyboard, yet this guy does this smae procedure 10-15 times a day and never drops or bumps and keeps on working, but he did it all wrong......priceless
touched the load to the boom raise the inner main and drop the outer main tag line guy is basically worthless hes gunna hurt someone or damage equipment or personal property
He did it all wrong. He will kill himself some days during cold months. Only rookies hook and climb on top of the container. Also, he did not putted blocks under the corners of the container. His setup was too far from the a spot to cause of the lesser capacity of the crane. ROOKIE!!!
if you mean back into the spot where he was originally the no, the reach on the crane would exceed the lifting capacity at that distance, what might have been better would have been a truck with the crane mounted at the back if you mean reverse with container in the air that isn't possible, the crane has outriggers that keep the whole thing stable during a lift and some manufactures have interlocks that prevent the outrigger from retracting while there is load in the air
Smart job. I feel the chain is too thin. If one corner chain breaks the container is bound to fall. It could damage the home big time and house would be in it's glory, hence - smart work. I easy task here as the space to place crane is rather small. High risk work, this.
I as a crane driver see nothing but skill in the hands of a skilled person a lorry mounted crane is A fantastic piece of equipment

Next time build a shed!
That will work with that crane and a 20' container. It won't work with that crane and a 40' container.
The container is touching the crane many times

Wouldn't it be easier if he drove backwards near the house?
