I attended 8 of his fights since 2008.... He is the most amazing and mesmerizing fighter that I have ever seen. Ive attended many prizefights since 1999. It is nuts how amazing he was in his prime..... I wish he and Floyd had a series between 2009-2012

The May-Pac bout was 4-5 years past its expiry date. But the fact that May made a joke out of a much younger stronger Conor McG in his 40s shows that Floyd prolly wouldve played the same dodging game then.

Pacquiao's padwork trainer Penolosa actually came to China a few years ago with two-time Olympic Champ Tischenko to run a boxing camp. My first coach went there and paid a few hundred more to get a one round pad work with Penolosa. According to him, Penolosa's pad work solely focuses on continuous rapid punches and combinations. All about conditioning and punching non-stop and much less attention on specific combinations or technique. Everyone was exhausted after one round with him.

I'm Filipino and most fighters (probably all) use old school training methods. We don't have the luxury of new technology being available or enough government support (funds) to apply them. I'm only speaking from the professional boxing gyms I've seen which include ALA Boxing (Donnie Nietes' gym which sadly closed down) and Omega Boxing gym (John Riel Casimero's gym). I was actually able to train a couple of times in the latter as the owner and the trainer are actually my neighbors.

Local government officials build basketball courts because they know a lot more people will play on it than a boxing ring, and they do it for publicity and votes.

8:23 Recent studies are showing that ice for recovery actually prolongs recovery (at least when it comes to injury but then again working out muscles is a micro injury). The reason they say this is because inflammation is how the body transports nutrients to an injured spot. Ice only reduces pain making you think your recovering quicker (also hinders inflammation which is needed to transport nutrients). They found Moving an injury, such as a pulled muscle or fractured bone, a little bit and massaging it actually healed faster. Look up M.E.A.T. Vs R.I.C.E. its interesting.

Bro. He used steroids. It’s cool though. There’s no need to virtue signal about it. All top tier athletes use it. Some just just get caught due to politics.

I am from the philippines, I train boxing, and I would say the best foods for recovery are Bulalo, Nilagang baka(boiled beef), kaldereta, tinola, chop suey, and pares.
