Augmented Reality is a powerful tool, and the best part is that this video is in the realm of possibility. In fact, I could just make this on Lens Studio and turn this into a playable Snapchat filter if I wanted to. The only thing stopping me - legal stuff.
Watching this was so trippy and cool at the same time. I would love if something like this was actually released in VR and made a reality. Someone needs to take this idea and make it real. I'd be playing this all and every day. Awesome job, this is out of this world.
Holy crap, from the thumbnail I thought it might have been a 3d printed art piece or something similar, but then when DK started I realized what it really was and, wow, that's freaking cool. I'd love to live in a world where these old games are playable as ARGs.
What do mean afraid of? Are you even aware of the AR Nintendo has done? If there were ever a company to take a chance and innovate AR to this degree it would be Nintendo.
We Are all One step closer to putting on a VR helmet and actually becoming Mario jumping over barrels and climbing ladders. This is a pretty badass first step towards that reality.
@@retrohead I've seen it as well :) This DK game would also look so cool using the Lenovo AR glasses I have(star wars one's)🤓 or the Quest 2 in passthrough mode/side loaded. I wonder if you just rendered it or used some kind of AR for it?!? Pretty sweet :) I wish Nintendo would release AR glasses with games like this. I could get behind that. You could also release your own version of this for an existing platform out there. People would pay for stuff like this for sure.
This is amazing, I'm subbed. I was actually looking for Augmented Reality games to see if I can find a game with AI battles that I can do on my desk but I'm glad I found this channel. Really enjoying watching these and you did great job with creating the games on AR. It looks so alive!

Dude! This is the coolest thing. I would love to play something like this. Would love to get a load of the other screens. As a DK fanatic, I was thrown by the font of the points--but I own multiple DK machines and made it to the finals of The Kong Off....
This is cool and I could definitely see this existing in the future, but I feel like it'll probably end up being a gimmick to play 2D games in AR, you just wouldn't gain anything over playing on a 2D screen. After a while I'd imagine people might only use their AR for retro stuff if they didn't have a small screen around to use
Wow,man… I’d love to see and entire Metroid map open all at once in AR and you can actually look at which room you wanna go in the distance and watch Samus make her way there.
Dude, shut the hell up, that's way too cool of an idea! Now you got me thinking about Legend of Zelda and being able to see the entire world map, then look _under_ the world map to peek at all of the dungeons.
Lol. Glad I’m not the only one who caught this is either the NES or the Arcade version of DK. Though I miss the 2600 fireballs that looked like genie lamps.

In donkey Kong you can actually throw the hammer up in the air, so if you had a well timed throw and ladder climb you could bring the hammer to higher floors, he could also hand stand and if you jumped while handstanding you would do a much higher jump which could sometimes let you skip the ladder part
Ive predicted for awhile that the future of gaming is with ar glasses, already being implemented on the mario kart ride at this time, and then eventually holograms
Great. Now you've got barrels all over the floor to clean up and your desk is about to set on fire. Better hide Mario's body too before the police arrive.
