Is it the fear of being alone is because you don't have a father figure in your life (since you were growing up with your mother only. if not my bad)? So subconsciously you will need someone to depend on and feel safe instead of feeling insecured. This thought is also being discussed among my friends who were in the same situation as you and felt the same thing. she somewhat agreed with our conclusion but it may be just our dumb thoughts anyway. we're not trained, psychiatrists. haha
