I'm beginning to have issues the way Judge Funmi judged serious issues like this one, she doesn't start this way. She needs to listen to that man plights, he's passing through a lot, how could a mother set her child clothes on fire?
If its the other way round. You will see people shouting irresponsible Husband.

I felt Judge Funmi needed to have addressed some, if not all the issues, raised by the man. Although not for reconciliation purpose, but for the mental stability and the security of the children they are supposed to co-parent..
How did she not see the need to ensure that those children are safe and not abused by their own mother, who tores and burns their clothes out of anger!?😱. Only God knows what she will do when they are left alone with her. I can only imagine what the man has suffered in her hand.😥
Our dear Judge should have sent them for counselling to help them co-parent effectively for the sake of the children..

Many people thing abuse is only when the man beats the woman. Verbal abuse is just as the same as physical abuse. Words can hurt more than blows at times. Most women go around insulting their husbands and boyfriends but are quick to say he’s abusive not knowing they’re also doing the same thing. I’ll never hit a woman but I’ll never stay with a woman who’s rude or reign insults. I’ll break up or divorce you that same day.

I'm speechless u nailed it completely, similar thing happening to me in my marriage of 6years, mine abuse me without apologising major reason I'm still in same house is cause of my kids, I grew up with my parents and even when my mom passed away my dad refuse to marry and later join my mom. Each time i think about leaving, I looked at my kids cause I don't want them to grow up in a divorce or broken home, I'm very attached to my kids and this one of the reasons why is hard for me to leave the marriage. This has really affected my mental health that sometimes I just ponder on marriage and were I went wrong, and came to conclusion that probably cause I got married to the 1st woman I ever dated, maybe if I have dated lots of women before I would have be able to make right choice, and also maybe cause I'm just a year older than her, honestly I equally don't know were I got it wrong, and more reason I told my young bro to take his time before getting married so as not to make same mistake like I did. It actually not easy to leave cos of my two kids.

It might help cuz staying believe it or not is not always the solution. It causes more harm than good. You might loose it one day and end up harming her and end up in jail. I know divorce is frowned upon by us Africans but at times some couples are not just compatible. You both can always co-parent the kids. Remember a broken man can never help his kids. I’ve seen cases whereby one of the couples ends up committing suicide just cuz they wanted to tolerate. I wish you all the best bro I’ll be praying for you and your family.

If a man can live his home know something is very serious. Judge Fumi is always after the wellbeing of the children, she's not really concern about the couple relationships. It's gross exaggeration to say a man doesn't feed his children at all especially when they living or have been living together. Come to court and be truthful and appreciative. Judge Fumi cannot put the burden on the woman. Never. It's always the man...like it or not as a man be ready to take upon the responsibility. School fees, daily cares, clothing, sickness etc. Nagging isn't good. The man is mentality drained.

Men should stop listening to women when comes to the number of children they want because women will always say that they want more.. If you know that you can only take care of one child you need to discuss it even before marriage. Don't allow anyone to push you to do what you can't afford. No one knows tomorrow. I and my siblings grew up with my mother, she was a teenager when she gave birth to us, our dad abandoned us with zero support, she lost her both parents so Early living her to struggle for all her younger ones and kids. The suffering was severe. 😢 The saddest thing waß that my father was well to do but wicked. Please women should be careful with the kind of father's they choose for their children.
The judge should b considerate to the men too. Why discussing transport to school for kids when they can transfer them to a closer school? The country is not easy anymore. Foodstuff, upkeep, school fees and medications for 4kids all on one person yet we are not considering bringing the kids to a closer school is unfair.

I really feel concern for the man. His calm & gentle expressions show how much he had suffered. The woman didn't have much defence to put. Sometimes, our laws can be burdensome. These two people want to destroy the lives of their children. Breakup is not the solution when you're both broke. It's very dangerous. If there's good money co-parenting can be managed not when there's no money. The woman has a bad character from what i can see. But the monthly 20k for 4 kids is ridiculously low, the man should be able to do more for the sake of the kids. From my 34years of marriage i can say authoritatively that breakup happens easily when the foundation of the love between the couple is weak. The strength of the foundation depends on several factors. Where you met, how you met, how long you dated each other, what chacter your partner demonstrated that you didn't like while dating, relationship between parents of both couples before and after wedding..etc if you can most of these factors right, separation would be very difficult.
