    I've got to commend Josh on his presentation and description of the cymbals. Excellent! Short, sweet, simple. Got me to hit that subscribe button. I recently purchased a 21 inch HHX thin ride that has been working nicely in both some small jazz group settings as well as my gig with a country singer/songwriter. I'm digging the HHX line for sure. Stay safe and healthy everyone, I'm sending positive vibes to all for better times and more live music gigs! Keep swinging/groove'in/thrashing/rocking/or whatever genre your playing!!!! All Good Things!!!!

    I love the 20” Evolution ride as a crash. It’s perfect. But the 22” Evolution ride is just unreal. It feels SO GOOD to play...both as a ride and when you crash it.
    The Complex line are much more....buttery lol. Smoother, sexier. I have the 23” Medium and 22” Thin ride and they’re both sexy as hell!

    Great video! I'd love to hear a comparison video with the HHX 20" Complex Medium and the HHX 20" Complex thin.

    I have the evo ride, as well as a 22" medium comp ride. The evo is much more scooped, with a high end shimmer, and a clearer bell. The 22 is darker, much more complex, with a super funky bell, and a super smooth crash. It takes quite a hit to open up, but sounds amazing once it does. The comp ride is the sexier of the two. The evo ride also works amazing as a medium crash.

    Great presentation! I have both of these rides in 22", and they're the two that I oscillate between most. I ended up ordering a 21" Fierce ride just to kind of break it up a bit. :D

    Shopping the used market between these 2 and because the complex is fairly new the price difference was over $100 so I went with Evolution and saved a few dollars. If they were same price I would of probably went with complex.

    I used to have that cymbal. I really miss it. I'd pair it up as a main crash with my 20" medium Artisan if I still had it. My playing style has changed and I miss my Evolution.

    I have a 22" medium complex ride and 16"/18" complex thin crashes with 15" complex hats. I'm thinking about grabbing one of these to alternate between rides. You think it'll match well with the complexes I have now?

    Between the hhx complex medium and the paiste rude crash ride 20"
    Wich is better ?
    Thanks for your help.

    • @denverpercussion
      @denverpercussion  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on the music you want to play. The Paiste Rude is going to have more body and thickness overall within the cymbal. The HHX Complex still has some body, but I think is still lighter and has more crash-ability than a Rude.

      @@denverpercussion great answer thanks. I think I play more rock and the rude fit perfect with my style but the hhx sounds great =( and I saw some hard core bads choose because the dark bell.
