- A quick look at the Epheria Sailboat and Epheria Frigate in BDO.
Epheria Sailboat has:
5k Weight Capacity
1 Cannon per Side (Player Mounted)
1 Crew Member
Epheria Frigate has:
4k Weight Capacity
2 Cannons per Side (Player Mounted)
1 Crew Member
TL;DW
Sailboat for bartering. Frigate for sea monster hunting. Upgrade Sailboat to Caravel for better bartering. Frigate can stop at Improved Frigate if you don't want to make a Galleass.
only complaint would have been nice if you did a little pop up picture of each boat you mention a FEW times kinda give a visual to the boat you spoke of .i mean top left corner a picture would appear every time you said the name of a boat . thats me i guess i get confused easily

Sailboat > Improved sailboat > Epherian Caravel > carrack Balance/carrack Advance. (For bartering because all ships in this tree have tons of weight limits)
Frigate > Improved frigate > Epheria Galleass > Carrack Valor/Carrack Volante. (For sea monster hunting or Ocean PvP because all ships in this tree have more speed, durability and cannon per side)
Improved are optional, not required in the upgrade path, and can be more painful to upgrade to exclusively because of the 5000 logs, 4 days doing the Ravinia quests will get cut 3 mat reps in half(5k sap, zinc, etc, instead of 10k)
Just a quick addition... the Caravel is a decent sea monster ship when upgraded. Obviously can be upgraded to a Carrack eventually and all Carracks are good at everything, but the added benefit from bartering makes the Sailboat progression the ideal choice if you really plan on getting a Carrack. Point being, bartering is much more profitable than sea monster hunting and yes the added weight over the Frigate counterpart is worth the marginal difference in speed. Overall... the Sailboat progression is the better choice because sea battles are a meme.
Pepega Pepega yep, sea battle is just going in circles and hoping to hit something. Idk, I’ve sunk a valor with my green pepo balance a couple of times with ease.

Everyone who is having a hard time finding Working the Ash Tree quest; Make sure you have your quest notification for life skills turned on. Otherwise, it won't show. Then go to Ficy in Heidel a few steps near Lebyos. Good Hunting!
improved allows you to monster hunt for ooze and complete dailys faster imo. It isn't required but is a lot more helpful. It also doesn't use the same mats that the caravel will use. So it makes sense if you have a worker empire to just make the upgrade to hunt sea monsters easier.
It's obvious. It's the raft then next js the bartali boat.. The worst is the carrack next to it is the volante
Is there any difference in what may be better for fishing or does that share the same qualities as bartering?

It seems to me that every BDO video the voice audio is too low for me to hear =[. I have tinitus ( ringing in the inner ear ) so it might just be me =[

Galleas with +10 blue has more weight than Caravel +10 green... just saying
