Also thanks for the guide many things are still super helpful today in 2024 , trying to get into barter and have came across your guides today many of them and they have had so many details no others have covered that really helps out. Just wanted to give ya a heads up about the Bartili ship in last message though so maybe it could be updated as the quest line helps you get the ship and upgrade it today for almost nothing. As it provided a large majority of the upgrades free & the ship free and sailors and sailors slots that cost pearls free. As well as lvling your sailing through to Pro 1 allot easier.
Guide looks good, just started myself, so still trying to get my head around it all, I went from the Epheria Sailboat directly to the Caravel, as the Improved ships are just not worth the effort & silver, much better to just go direct, skipping the Improved. gonna bookmark this for reference.. For new sailors, the easiest way to get to Crow's Nest, is autopath to the North end of Tinberra Island, from there head North, in a straight line, you'll hit Crow's Nest 100% of the time, and completely doable without a compass, from crows nest, Aquilla's Eye is WSW, also doable without a compass, once uncovered..Thanks
You don't need the enhanced plywood for caravel/galleas that's for the blue grade gear down the line, there's also a mechanic where if you open the map and open your barter information window and click on a bartender boarded it will show you where it is on the map, very useful for margoria trades
As a new Barterer, I could not find a video to understand as everything would go over my head. But eventually I had to teach myself how to barter. Just sit there afk, and stare at everything. And just trial and error. But anyways, now that I’m watching bartering videos, I understand more and more. And definitely yes at around 5mins, bartering is a long game, just pile up them mats, you’ll be alright.
Hello, ty for the guide, at time 5:09 you show a chart where the level 4 potential items is 162, but you say max number of trade ratio is 1:2 so would 108 be more correct, and you also say max 4 to five is 1:1 so 108 again instead of 324? Sorry if i do not understand the chart or the math.
Hey there Michael, the count for the final potential items is apart from the ratio. It stems from 18 base items which would be the cause of confusion. To break it down, final on that potential numbers is 324 - Level 5 that comes from 1 to 2 exchanges which is 162. The 162 came from 1 to 3 exchanges of Level 3 which is 54. 54 came from 1 to 3 exchanges of Level 2 to 3 which is 18 from 3x of base item to Level 1 . Hope this helps!
@@ProfEzo ok, so lets frame this problem, there is a limited number of trades available based on parley and time of refresh and routes, so the real measure of the profits would be "how many level 5s can be created and cashed out per hour or day". so even if you have max number of routes available, 12, and each lets you create 4 level 5s, that is 48 level 5s for silver, and you can get rid some through crow coins....like even one per route, would be 12 more. So we are looking at profits of 240 million + but over a 4 hour time span, 2 times per day, 3 if you have a value pack. Burst silver production like 8 billion for 80,000 crow coins that took 80 days to collect should not be part of a sustained profit calculation, or counting 324 items that took 100 routes and sets of trades to generate the items needed to post a large number like 1.6 billion, which is 6 times larger than what can be expected from a ship than can only carry 20 items and travel at the speed of a wagon. I am only trying to get information that will help me and my guildmates navigate, pun intended, all the disinformation about BDO life skills. Thank You again for your time and effort.

I did put *Not possible in a single route, this is just to show potential on top as well as (takes a very long time) but that section is intended to just give an overview of the potential barter income. It is really up to the individual to break their process down on the bartering process since it would have a lot of variables
I have played for 1 month now, (i did play for a month or two, four years ago) i have finished my epheria sailboat, and iam almost done with my friggate.. Just make sure to research what kind of materials you need, learn the worker system, have them start crafting the boat u want.. i promise it will be finished the 25th day when u complete the daily for the Design: Epheria sailboat or Friggate.. Bdo is not a game for players that want to take the easy way out, you lose 90% of the game experince that way.. When u start playing the game, spend half the time you play on various websites, searching on how doffrent stuff work etc.. if you are like me, u hare hooked in a couple of days! and in 1 month you know a shit ton makingalot of cash and the game is insanly fun!
Trying to barter pistachios for gizzards and for whatever reason I can't barter. So what is the step by step process to barter because Hiriva does not give me the option to barter.
Not sure if the quest line existed when this was made but the Bartili sail boat if u run the Great Expedition Quest line it gives u a free Bartili Sail boat , A free Sailor & I think it was 5 sailor slots free and u can get 3 more free in LOTML I forgot the guys name and it helps lvl up ur sailing by giving Sail Exp allot of it to get through the early lvls & it gives u I think it’s half off the ship upgrade Matt’s free.
Hey ManUnderSiege, it is not mandatory. Both ships has their pros and cons. Frigates can be upgraded to Galleass which has 4 cannons each side which makes Sea Monsters easier to hunt and 10% faster, Sailboats on the other hand can be upgraded to Caravel that has more weight 10,000LT vs 8,000LT of the Galleass at base. Valor and Volante Carracks (faster speed and reload times) can only be from Frigates, and Advance and Balance Carracks (more weight and inventory slots for bartering) can be only from Sailboat so you decide which one you want as your end result.

Hey there! It starts at Veila. You need to be at Level 50 and accept Vigorous Veila from the black spirit. Also check your QUESTS - pressing O - and make sure your quest type has ALL active (Yellow) .
thanks for the vid but i think lost it when you start to save T1 items i didnt know what to do there am an idiot i know but if you can like dont know show us how to save t1 and get it like you did one more time please if you are free for sure and thanks

Hey Clockworks, sadly that is a know issue and happens even in PC. You would have to unmount and try again, and if that fails, go to character selection and reload.
can you make a video on how to get more barter counts efficiently ? im trying to get carrack but people say in order to have a smooth time i need 5.1k barter count
Hey Bonn, you can have one stay within the barter islands and the other you can station at Saltwater crocodiles. The Valor has 18k x9 at Chiro Blue gear with 9 seconds reload vs. 13.7k x 9 at 13 seconds reload. It's up to the player, but it speeds up the process of farming for the Carrack blue gear mats and useful for the new SMH areas too.
i started bartering a week ago im bartering soo much with epheria caravel , do you think carrack is worth the time? i want to get one but can i get it within month really trying hard like 13 hours a day ? :D, thanks, nice video thanks for the tips
You can take it easy and slowly build up to it, you can still make great money with just a caravel. Carrack though is worth for the stats (sailors, blue gear), future upgrades, and the looks :)
Yah i am doing 'the old way', was working on it a while back, put it off. Then they halved the required mats. Bam, ready to build. Lemme tell you about mother f-ing logs....
sorry but do you consider the money needed for the mats to craft the Khan's heart with that concentrated item form the crow shop ? IMO, for 80 000 crow you have 8 billions - taxes, MINUS 1 Billion for the mats needed .... so the most profitable items here are the meme boxes
Hi Laurent, yes I considered it. I did place a *market dependent on there too for that reason. Memory fragments can top the heart majority of the time, the only thing limiting it is the 20 per week and 5 daily limit which you would need about 72 weeks to match a Khan's heart price and with the mats considered be 500+ million more, but for the Khan's if you get at least 1,500 coins a day can be at 53 weeks or less if you get the special barter coin trades. Both of these items are market dependent as Khans sometimes drop a lot and Mems drops with events too though the good thing is you can do them side by side.
@@ProfEzo actualy i’m playing on PS5. But as fas as i know.. the barther menu should be in the main menu.. on life skill section.. same as processering.. gathering.. When i’m in the warf manager.. i can tkae out/ check in my boat.. but i can’t hire sailor much less load cargo on it. I’m really frustrated cause i spent 400kk on a ES just to start barthering i can’t do it.
You might not have the all quest active. Press O and at the bottom ALL QUEST should be on. If you are talking about the trade quest, you need Ravikels Test first
it's a shame you can't do the oquilla's eye quest line with a character under 50. That quest takes you from beginner 1 to skilled 1 sailing so you can use breezy sail. Which helps a lot with sailing speed.

Very good i kinda watched both guides in the wrong order but ... Hell both are good... Especially when i don't know the diference of what is what.

The only time I use a compass is to find the Margoria barter nodes.

is the boat from the questline "the great expedition: oquilla eye" also an option for bartering? its a Epheria Cog
Unfortunately, they disabled the bartering for the Cog. It won't let you barter on it

No, just need 3k barter count minimum. Hoard all the t1 materials but it will be a bit costly
whats the advantage if you own 2 carracks ?
Bragging rights or one for bartering if you went sailboat route, one for SMH and killing people if you went fritgate route

I bought an Ephiria Sailboat but the barter icon does not apear on life skill menu. Can anyone help?
