What a great idea! My daughter's has a mirror night stand and one of the mirror drawers was accidentally crack right in the middle. I think I can use this idea to fix it. Thank you! 😎

Very sexy. Adding color to the resin would be cool too. Could I just set the mirror in the curing resin instead of gluing it in afterwards? Also invest in a silicone paint brush. They sell them at the hardware store. They will smooth the resin, little pieces won’t break off, they won’t soak up resin, and they are ♻️ reusable. They are also pretty cheap.

I do my best to stay away from grout. I never can quite get it right.
Hi Mark, those mirrors came out really fantastic! I love how smooth the mirror fragments are after the resin is cured. I wish I would have know the ancient Roman 'curse reversal' the year I broke 3 mirrors in one week. 😳 Took a looooong time to burn off that curse. Thank you for sharing a very awesome project. Now hurry and go bury some pieces under the moonlight (that sounds like the easier option). Jazzy

How does the silver mirror backing stand up over time to the adhesive materials you use?
Hi Louise...It's been find AND I've kept these mirrors outside on my porch for quite a while now. If you use them indoors, I'm sure they'll last forever!

Ohhh Mark! I love love love the texture of the broken mirror and the color underneath is yummy. Its shards of mirror so you would expect sharpness or roughness but the epoxy rounds it out so everything is smooth. It's a great juxtaposition! 😁❤❤❤❤😉

Looking sharp? :) that's a funny comment for glass. But what made me laugh the most was what i pictured before seeing this video. I thought you were going to make a mirror that was mosaic in the middle and not on the outside. not a functional mirror, but more more of a wall art. that's what i was expecting with your videos, mark. you are fantastic at these projects. almost to 200k subscribers!
i always like to see your backgrounds behind you of all the years of your videos. btw, we got over 40" plus of snow yesterday. making crafts is the best way to pass the time, after shoveling, of course.

Beautiful project. I recently made mosaic mirror with glass tiles. But I already glued the center mirror. Can I still use epoxy resin or would it damage the center mirror??
Hm...if you're super careful and perhaps tape off the edge of the mirror before you pour it would work.

Absolutely stunning! How did you get the mirror pieces to make smooth outlines for the rectangle and circle? Also, can the resin, spit, and goop be used to install mosaic tiles on the kitchen and/or bathroom walls?
Not sure about doing this horizontally, the resin would surely run down the wall. As for the outlines, just find pieces the work for the shape and fill in with the tiny pieces.

Hi, how did you keep the resin from running off the sides?
Tape the back and let it drip off the sides and use a sponge brush for the excess. You don't want it super thick and it doesn't all run off the mirror. You just want to coat it.
