I’ve got this in orange and paid full price…wasn’t mad about it. Just picked that same purple one up tonight off the deep blue site for $249….smokin deal!
It’s a great watch. Here’s a tip about the bracelet. Don’t use the spring bars that come with the bracelet, instead, use the spring bars that are already being used with the silicone strap. I struggled for a while before realizing that the items supplied with the bracelet are slightly longer and are unable to be fitted with the bracelet. I’ve also heard this from others who bought the bracelet as an option. I will do a short vid to show this very soon.

I just wanted to say that I have this watch and it’s awesome. I have the Seiko Prospex and it’s great to but I think this watch is just as good and better in way for half the money. I see hate stuff on deep blue but don’t know why. This model is for better than I was expecting. I was hesitant to buy at first because it’s Big and heavy and I have a small wrist. After wearing it a few weeks I no longer notice it’s there when the Seiko is more noticeable. The movement in this watch is 175.00 bucks and it’s 300.00? You will not regret purchasing one!
I totally agree with you here Scott. I’m old school deep blue and I own what I consider to be one of deep blue’s best models ever made, The Deep blue bluetech abyss 500. This model is around the 10 years old mark, and back then, with the choice of many more movements, deep blue was a very different company with a totally different product. After seeing such a decline from the company, and all of the cheaper end products that they were churning out on the shopping channel, I had become very sceptical about them being able to produce anything near the quality of the bluetech abyss. This Juggernaut lV reinstated my faith in the company and the product. This watch is simply that good. I’d definitely buy another in a different colour. I keep my eyes on deep blue as it seems like they produce these “upper tier” pieces periodically. Leave the really cheap stuff that they produce, and pay attention to specs of products when they come out, there are still gems to be found and I think that the company has a strategic way of producing watches. Flood the market with really cheap models that most will buy, then drop a very serious, while still not crazy expensive model, for us customers that are looking deeper in to the specs and need the quality of the original product from 10 years ago.
Aww we I didn’t know the history, and now your telling me about the mass production on TV explains why the drop in quality would have put people off. I never understand why companies make proven amazing stuff and change what works. It always hard to get people back if they don’t see the value. I like these smaller companies. Have you seen Dan Henry, and Spinnaker watches? They do a great job as well, very nice quality!
I have indeed. Dan Henry and Spinnaker do make some great pieces as do Momentum and Magrette which are amongst my favourites. It wasn’t all Deep blues fault though. The lack of access to the Swiss movements that they started off with was a huge factor and caused them to need to change gears. You just need to be a little more “picky” about which model to choose from deep blue, they still make some fantastic watches if your willing to wait and dig a little.
I enjoyed your review. I have the same watch. What I’ve found with my particular watch is that the lume isn’t that great compared to a couple of my other DB watches.

With the jubilee, I was able to get the links all measured up but really struggled to get the bracelet back onto the watch. The pins are difficult to engage. Any tips you can share?
Absolutely Greg. Ditch the pins that came with the bracelet and reuse the items that came on the watch with the silicone strap. I had the exact same issue with mine. Great pick up mate, you’ll enjoy that one I’m sure.

@@desire68frogman98 That's a good call. Especially this style on the Deep Blue, where the strap is curved and the holes for the lugs are not near the underside. Scratching the exposed stainless was my biggest worry. Flat strap Seiko lugs are straight forward.

Being the owner of what I consider to be one of the best if not the best Deep Blue watches ever produced, “blue tech abyss 500”. The juggernaut is in a very similar category imho. Deep blue make a lot of watches and it’s plain to see that they tried to cater for the masses with a lot of the models, but compromised on quality. Every now and then, they produce a gem like the blue tech abyss 500, and the juggernaut V is one such piece. I would buy another in a heartbeat, just need to find another colour that speaks to me.
As with everything these days, there’s good and bad. This piece is amazing and it won’t be my last Deepblue this year. Top shelf piece and I keep the crown out when I’m not wearing it, so the crown gets it fare share of use as I need to screw it back in every time I wear it. Absolutely zero issues!

I just did as well but ordered the jubilee bracelet with it. It also came with a purple strap and compass/weather to put on it.
The jubilee choice is my favourite combo for this model.

So, it will come with a silicone strap as standard, then you pay the extra for the bracelet, that’s what I did.

I'm curious are the dots and hands the color of tiffany blue?
The dots are slightly darker than the hands but overall, they are both very close to “Tiffany blue”
