I lived in San Francisco at the time and this was the first opera I ever saw. In fact. It was so magical that I went back several more times. What a way to start! I also saw Stefania in Don Carlos there a few years later. Superb.
RIP Renata. This role was not really appropriate for her voice but she made it work with her outstanding artistry
It is superb just like their Aida! Both of them are at their prime! Does anyone have the whole record of this production?
