If Cheetos went to space, what would they be called? Astro-Cheesetronauts

I still have the VHS recorded of my High School graduation!!!
Does anyone remembers the bacon or ranch dressing favor floss??
30 failed products that were way ahead of its time.
In ten years, the cybertruck will make these lists.
Bet on it.
Probably, it doesn’t even look very enticing to buy
You guys literally never let the Cola change go. What is it now like, 20 videos with it
7:49 _Steve?_
23:13 Oop, there he is again. Hi, Steve.
The Wii U was taken back to the drawing board and rereleased as the Switch 😂
We still have an original set of lawn darts. I love breaking them out at parties.
"Companies should learn to stay in their own lane." Yamaha - Hold my keyboard!
When my wife heard "It tastes like the 80s" she said "Oh, so it tastes like petrol fumes, weed, and hair gel?"
Spot on!
What about the Soviet attacks
We loved the colored ketchup! My son would eat better with it.
Also, my grandfather had an Edsel. He took excellent care of it. He passed away in 2012, and it still had all original parts and paint job. Now my dad takes care of it and it only gets used for special occasions, like weddings. It will never leave our family. 😊
I LOVED the Arch Deluxe because of the sauce on it. I also miss the Texas Homestyle Burger with its Peppered Mustard.
14:01 The ONLY problem with Clippy was that he was so difficult to get rid of. The idea was absolutely brilliant. The execution was absolutely horrendous.
14:05 Comic Sans is a beautiful typeface when taken as it is. The problem is it was the Nickelback of typography before Nickelback even became big. It was EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE was using it for everything they can think of. That proves it is a beautiful typeface. It just sucks when everyone overuses something so wonderful that it becomes a pain in the ass to even see.
I never understood why there has always been so much hate about Nickelback. Maybe you’re one of those people who thinks they sold out after they got a hit single?
My cousin always struggled with weight during her childhood. While on our Daytona Florida trip in the 90s she had her dad buy her a bunch of WOW! Chips which she scarfed down enmass over one afternoon. It over loaded her 8 year old body and she got rushing, horrific death smelling, uncontrollable diarrhea in the car while we were on our way to dinner that night. It just kept coming and coming, i remember sitting in the waiting room of the hospital with her older sister with our shoes and socks stained with her poo. It got all over us as we were in the backseat together
Crappiest trip ever.
For sure helped with weight loss at least that could have been a selling point be impossible to gain weight eating them
Might've known New Coke would be #1 before I clicked the thumbnail.
Even before hearing about Cheetos Lip Balm, I thought the people at Frito Lay had to be insane to think of it.
I got cosmopolitan and Neapolitan mixed up and was about to say “Neapolitan yogurt sounds great! Just like the iced cream”. That was until you mentioned the magazine and then it clicked
Poor Blockbuster….I have fond memories of running to the store and getting a DVD on Friday or Saturday night.
We called lawn darts, jarts. I cannot believe all us drunk people survived our cook outs.
Ah Blockbuster, the good old days
OMGGG I found a stick of Cheetos balm not too long ago while metal detecting. I kept it for whatever reason. It's literally right next to me at he moment hahaha
Sounds so gross 🤢
I remember trying New Coke back in the 80's. It tasted horrible
When they remake this video in 10 years, the Neuralink Brain Chip will be number 1
My girlfriend was messing around and pot the Cheetos Lip Balm in her belly button her belly button tasted great but it backfired because her belly button smelled of Cheetos for a month she was pissed and went of Cheetos 😂
I remember when Blockbuster tried the home delivery thing, it seemed unimpressive compared to everything Netflix offered.
With all the simpsons clips. How could you leave out Snake's "OH NOOOO!....BETA!"
Right?! Thank you!
If Cardi B invented Friendster, WAP Portal would have a whole new meaning
I met my husband on Friendster. 😂
A couple years ago when the Hot Cheeto Mountain Dew was released, I bought it for one of my friends as a joke, not thinking that he would actually drink it. But he did. And when I asked him what it tasted like he responded with “Disappointment with a hint of regret”
Crystal Pepsi was actually pretty good
I agree. I loved Crystal Pepsi.
Product fails are always a mess!
So are TV fails.
I MET MY HUSBAND ON FRIENDSTER IN 2003! I had no idea it lasted until as late as 2015.
I thought Clippy was cute Not all computers had a dancing paperclip on their screens
😂 These fails are definitely a masterclass in what not to do! 🚫
I used Microsoft bob as a house and spent hours decorating my roms.
I still have my Wii U in storage, and I had a bunch of games (that I later sold to pay for my increasing rent until I moved to a low-income apartment). Currently thinking of just pulling it out and beating Twilight Princess HD.
Cheetos chapstick seems like the most hated chapstick ever
I found hot dog water flavored chapstick. I gave it to my son in his stocking for Christmas. His reaction was, "Thanks, I hate it" 😂😂😂. I feel like that flavor might be a bit worse.
“Edsel is a no-go!”
-Billy Joel, “We Didn’t Start the Fire”
I remember being a kid and my Dad and step mom had the low fat chips and they would call them them poop chips and told us to be careful if we wanted to eat them! Lol
I remember the Heinz colored ketchup. As a kid, I begged my dad to buy it for me over and over until one day he gave up and bought it. I... hated it, haha.
Number 1: Watch Mojo
The green Heinz ketchup didn't work in the UK, because we have green chilli sauce, pickled cucumber relish and mint sauce. They taste much better, on the right foods. No one wanted the purple one.
The solution to low fat snacks turned out to be the industrial use of air fryers.
I tried new Coke once...🤮, ended up drinking Cherry Coke and Barrs Cola, until the product was dumped.
I remember wanting a virtual boy SO BAD when I was a kid but we couldn't afford one. Turns out I dodged a big bullet.
8:10 I got a WiiU and my boys and I love it. We still have it and play it sometimes. With the teeny tiny paddles the Switch comes with it, I actually like it more than the Switch (which I also have).
I have both and still play with both.
18:22 seven and seven! 🤩
The problem with Windows Vista is that it didn't work on PCs made before 2006 due to Aero glass and transparency. Also, PC manufactures made PCs that barely met Vista's requirements causing them too run very slowly
The Arch Deluxe was AMAZING
3:20 CD-I was the brainchild of Todd Rundgren. He wanted people to be able to manipulate his music and change the mood, tempo and timing. He went to Phillips, which became Sony-Phillips. For his first interactive album, he changed his name to TR-I, which stood for Todd Rundgren-Interactive. I saw this release in a Seattle record store where he was extolling the virtues of this new system. You could play them on your average desktop. I'd brought a couple of his albums with me to get autographed and instead of signing his name, he signed it TR-I which really pissed me off because those records were collectors items from the 60's. The album was kinda meh and I had the money at the time, but I was for damned-sure not paying $500
The Wii U is now looked at as it crawled/walked, so the Switch could run. As with the GamePad you could see that Nintendo wanted to try to do something with both a Home console and a handheld. Which as we know lead to the Switch.
"But it seemed like such a good idea at the time!"
Oh...really?
06:12 - his "aaah" was the hint that he wasn't convinced either.
"I need a 70in plasma wide screen TV, with Netflix"
"You want it in 3D?"
"NO THATS A STUPID F***ING GIMMICK AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT!!!"
Omg, Windows Vista..yea, I dealt with that for about eh 3 days, then went back to XP 😅 Vista was an absolute nightmare.
Where’s the cybertruck?
EVERYONE watching was waiting for TBBT clip when the Zune was mentioned.
The Arch Deluxe was better than any burger McDonalds currently makes. Yep. I said it.
Also, Betamax failed due to the format being more expensive to manufacture. Which led to the porn industry choosing VHS over Beta. That was the nail in the coffin. Porn beat Betamax, in the end.
The McDLT was good too.
It didn't help that Beta tapes weren't long enough to record a whole football ( US ) game, where VHS could . . .
I remember seeing and experiencing 3D tv at a Best Buy when I was younger, thought it was the awesome. Maybe one day it will make a comeback like you guys said
Worse than Arch Deluxe was the concept of an entire hamburger restaurant serving a similar hamburger. It was called "Raymond's", named for Ray Kroc. A prototype was built in Beverly Hills in the 1970s. They served a version of a "deluxe" hamburger. My Dad worked for Kroc and I went to the restaurant once.
Kroc also experimented with a pie restaurant called "Jane Dobbyn's" in Pasadena, named after his wife at the time.
McDonald's also experimented with selling hot dogs and frozen ice cream cones.
Their most famous experiments were the Filet O' Fish and the Big Mac. Both of these were invented by franchisee restaurant owners and not corporate researchers. The Filet O' Fish was created in 1962 by Lou Groen, a McDonald's franchise owner in a predominantly Catholic neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio, in response to declining hamburger sales on Fridays due to the practice of abstaining from meat on that day. The Big Mac was created by Jim Delligatti in Pittsburgh who stated later he did not invent the Big Mac but merely copied the double deck hamburger marketed by the Big Boy hamburger chain since the 1940s.
Let me just say I had a zune and quite liked it and was annoyed when i eventually had to replace it and the store didn’t have another.
Yall didn't mention that VHS won out on BETA MAX because all pornographic movies were on VHS.
I'm probably in a major minority, but I thought the Edsel looked rather cool, especially the front grill.
Fun Fact: Paul Revere, of Paul Revere and the Raiders, had a keyboard made out of the front end of an Edsel.
19:52 Oh I wish you showed a clip from that college humor series "If Google was a guy" Because the part when he answers a question from somebody wearing Google Glass who literally asks "Why do people laugh at him for wearing Google Glass" and The guy who is Google doesn't even answer the question just laughs so hard just look at him. Even Google found Google Glass to be so dumb😂
One thing that gave Bluray a huge leg up on HDDVD was that it was included as part of the PS3 (much like DVD and the PS2), which makes sense since Sony was one of the 9 electronic companies that started Bluray - Toshiba was the primary on HDDVD, trying to take on the likes of Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Hitachi, LG, Thomson, Philips, Pioneer and Panasonic with their Bluray tech.
The ironic thing is that Blockbuster actually had a chance to buy Netflix at a third of Netflix's value today, but they turned it down because they didn't its business model had a future.
I got an ipod, and my sister got a zune. That Christmas, she got an ipod that worked
9:34 To be fair though, you could tell that when they released the film that the DeLorean was not a great car. Remember how Marty McFly completely questioned that doc Brown made a time machine out of a DeLorean? I think he questioned that the way he did because of the DeLorean is a bad car and they knew it
Came here figuring I knew what #1 would be, was not disappointed.
My mom's uncle bought an Edsel. Fast forward about 70 years, and he was still getting crap about it - at his funeral
When that bigger Zune came out and you could save videos on it, that Zune was better than anything Apple had for several months, but then iPhone came out and ended all need for a separate MP3 player.
Nerd/Geek hype for the @LGR clip
Bob was ditched shortly after Windows 95 was released. Windows 95 made computers easier to use as the new UI was a big improvement over Windows 3.1
You can still get the Cheetos Chapstick at the dollar store😮
Sheesh, tired of people crapping on the Virtual Boy. Yeah it wasn't great, yeah it gave headaches, but when i was a kid, this was my very first 3D experience, and it was the coolest damn thing I had ever seen. Growing up and learning how it works, it's a miracle what they pulled off. Teleroboxer and Galactic Pinball, and Mario Tennis!
Should do list of:
Products from last 20 yrs that ppl(some) are still using after 10yrs
*** i'm using a laptop from 2013 & it still works...except now there won't be any new updates:(
Flamin’ Hot Cheetos lip balm might sell though.
I loved the Arch Delux
15:43 I've actually heard that in some ways the Zune was actually better than the iPod. It's too bad it didn't succeed against the iPod. It did last for a while though and it's forever immortalized in the guardians of the Galaxy films
"You can't eat lipstick"
*The lipstick:*
5:23 Billy Zane's hair system was a failed product.
Hey! Don't diss clippy. Some of us have kinda sorta tepidly okay mildly pleasant memories of him!
" 'Great' ideas, with the best of intentions! What could possibly go wrong?"
I LOVE Comic Sans
#24 is a Vista
"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!!!"
New Coke was made because in taste tests, people preferred the taste of diet coke to regular coke, so they made their regular coke taste more like diet. And in taste tests, most people preferred new coke to old coke. So they literally failed because they made a product that more people should have found enjoyable.
In a couple years, glitter ketchup and clear ketchup will be on the list
Clippy was awesome. I loved him.
Warcraft 3: Reforged should have been part of the list of the worst product failures, for that product has been lambasted and criticized by critics and fans, let alone that Activision Blizzard received a lot of criticism on that game's poor qualities.
Furthermore, Warcraft 3: Reforged has been considered as one of the worst games being released, and that game really ruined the legacy of the Warcraft franchise.
Cheetos lip balm taste weird
It's better with guacamole.
I loved the colored ketchup, I had the green one.
10:13 isn't Apple maps still around? I mean I was under the impression it was a massive failure but I remember seeing a car with cameras all over it and it had stopped somewhere so I took a closer look at it and I planned to upload my TH-cam short about it at some point, even though I saw this month ago so thanks for reminding me with this number on your list but anyways I thought it was a Google car but then was very disappointed to see that it was an Apple maps car and even pointed out how even people who have iPhone use Google maps. I'm an Android user who uses Waze
You know your product is a failure when it resembles a Roman military weapon (the plumbata). And I don't think the Romans were planning to use these lawn-dart lookalikes for just playing a horseshoe-game variation when they were pretty much successfully campaigning to dominate pretty much the entire area around the Mediterranean Sea! These things had barbs as well. That's why they also called them "martiobarbuli", or "little barbs of Mars" (referring to the god, not the planet).
New Coke later became available in the late 80s and early 90s under the name Coke II.
Apparently New Coke won in taste tests against Coke and Pepsi. So they figured they had a winner. Unfortunately, they didn't realize that most people don't really care about the taste. It's about image and self-identification. Tribalism. Nothing has changed.
I tried the New Coke. It was an awful taste. I did care about taste. The funny thing on Letterman's show Him and Mellman took a test a few months later. There were about 4-6 drinks that were tested. They ate crackers after every drink. At the end Letterman liked the one that came to be called Classic. And Mellman chose the New Coke. Poor Pepsi LMFAO.
I did a blind taste test with three other friends. We could all tell old Coke immediately and we all preferred it. Telling new Coke from Pepsi was harder. Our conclusion was Coke was trying to imitate Pepsi, which was ironic. And sadness.
@@cweaver4080 One of the other drinks in the test was Jolt Cola. Talk about a caffeine rush.
I am surprised they haven’t re-released it to *all markets* in the past few years, even just as a Limited Edition. They’ve been doing Limited Editions a lot recently. I was obsessed with the Limited Edition Coke Creations they did the last few years (specifically Coke Starlight and Coke Move) but am massively unimpressed with their newest Coke variation (they no longer do Creations) “Coke Spiced”, which is basically a Raspberry Coke. I would love to try New Coke again; it’s been decades (it wasn’t re-released in my area in 2019) and I was just a kid, so my memory of it is worthless.
Actually most people just care about free product that how the taste test things in shops work guess which one you thought was new coke and get some for free
Was that Joe Keery from Stranger things in the Wii U commercial??
I genuinely want to try New Coke just to see what the fuss was about. Release another contest, Stranger Things!
14:18 the early XBOX 360s had HD DVD players when the war was still going on.
As for the 3D TV. The Hellsing Ultimate Abridged clip of Alucard saying that 3D TV was a scam
Too bad about the DeLorean car being unsuccessful. It should've been a success that anyone would want to drive after the movie Back to the Future. Same with Cadillacs from Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, and the Winnebago from Spaceballs.
What I don't understand is why all the people who were upset at Google Glass because of the privacy violations etc haven't gotten as upset about the Facebook/Ray Ban glasses (a collaboration between the world's largest maker of glasses and the world's biggest data harvester)...
8:00 wii u basically split the online eshop in half so any classic games you already paid for online was discounted to transfer from ur wii to Wii u account or put back to full price then done again when Nintendo switch came out i love my Snes & 64 games but not enough to buy them 4 times
I LOVED ez squirt 😭😭😭
TIL that leafed lettuce on a burger is "adult" and sofisticated.
That whole 3d tv and 3d movie era was super trash. Stupid technology.
If you're going to include game consoles like the Wii U you you should have included Apple's bandai Pippin from the 1990s because that was a massive failure. Philips CDI makes sense. Nintendo's virtual Boy makes sense. But the Wii U which yes it was a failure it's still managed to sell on 15 million units, and performed way better than the ouya. So there are some good qualities to this list but some failures in other regards. The Atari Jaguar should have been mentioned as well. Same with the Atari 5200
The Harley Davidson cologne sound like it smelled good
Can you do a video of unsold live action animated hybrid pilots
