If we just had less conflation of a system's merits and the consequences stemming mainly from the human element within it, I feel like a lot of these discussion would be easier to have and people would find they agree on way more than they disagree on. I was born in one of these places that gets used as a talking point by people from all sides, and there's just a lot of cherry picking that I notice which I feel can be easily addressed without hurting your argument and it actually strengthens confidence in the entity as a communicator by addressing.

Sure, I don’t mean to portray any of these places as perfect, though I’m sure I’m guilty of over-hyping sometimes like anyone else. Honestly - and I should say this more - I very much consider myself “still learning.” There’s a lot of reading I still want to do, and I would love to actually visit some of these places like China, Cuba, Vietnam, etc and actually see what they’re like and what people think of living there. Even though we don’t want to replicate everything socialist revolutions have done in the past I still think Marxism is a great method of analysis and we need to get rid of capitalism. Down to talk more with you if you’re interested.
Most of my videos are more researched and scripted so I don’t come across like such a know it all a-hole, but I do these more timely real time commentary videos periodically because they sometimes give the channel a little boost. This Joe Rogan thing was just so ill informed and goofy.
      Thanks for your perspective 🙏

@radicalizeme5380 at the end of the day mine is just another piece of anecdotal evidence. Just want to say that the circumstances involve a lot of elements, and it detracts from my confidence of communicators when I they don't at least acknowledge the different dimensions involved. Mainly that while there were benefits to the new system, there was also a lot of horrible things that took place in the process of post revolution power consolidation, and the level of corruption improved a lot at the beginning but as resource scarcity became more unavoidable the corruption came right back.

Thank God. Someone who can actually articulate the way it is. I have yet to find someone in my waking life who is like-minded. Everyone just talks about literally nothing to me all the time, it's like they speak but no actual words come out, it burns my fucking ears because of the NOTHINGNESS everyone says all the time. It's incredible.
Currently I'm reading the Origins of Totalitarianism by Hannah Arendt. What are you reading?

    • @radicalizeme
      @radicalizeme  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hell yeah. So many people have such arrogance about things they don’t understand at all. That’s the biggest change since I’ve gone from liberal to socialist - when I don’t know something or get something wrong, I read about it 😂
Oo I’m very interested in Hannah Arendt. I read a great graphic novel biography of her. Currently I’m reading Responding to The Right by Nathan J Robinson. He’s not the most radical, but he’s a good writer and defends leftist policies well. Next up is Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next) by Dean Spade

Good points. From the very first sentence, Reggie shows that he has the "good intentions". However, it is absolutely NOT true that "Capitalism is the cause of all conflict in the world." You are very close to analyzing this dialectally. So close. But, this is why a blanket statement, like his is useless. Take out the hyperbole and generalizations, and you may be on to something. Let's just slow down, Reggie. Class exists, and it is easy to simplify. And yes, in the Imperial Core, perceptions are very fluid. But c'mon man.

What countries have a true socialist government with similar demographics and the cultural diversity of the U.S.?

It would help to know what you mean by “true socialist government” and what demographics you’re referring to. But my understanding is that Cuba is pretty diverse!

@@radicalizeme What socialist nation has a widely diverse range of religions, cultures, ideologies and ethnicities, which would be comparable to the US. Furthermore, nobody ever flees a capitalist society for the likes of Cuba, Venezuela, or the Soviet Union.

I can't find one socialist, in real life, who aren't sore losers in life and sound like this: ☝️🤓 Your ideas are flawed, and to say the USSR and China were "for the people" governments, where people have a say, are hilarious. Capitalism is not perfect, but I'd prefer the ingenuity and innovation it provides.

  • @mediascancer297

Way to talk a lot and say nothing. Try presenting more facts. In my experience people that have a strong sense of personal responsibility and belief that they can change their outcome in life are the ones that favor capitalism. They believe you get out what you put in. You're making some wild assumptions, based on a feeling?

The massive majority of socialists do not understand their own views and beliefs. Nor have they or can they feed themselves, feed others, build their own home, protect themself etc.
They especially do not understand what capitalism is or isn’t.
Nor do they understand how capitalism can’t be so damaging to society without government oversight, gov restrictions, the federal reserve that is more socialist control of money than it is capitalist market…
You can’t get a monopoly without collusion with the government.
The individual farmer who wants less government corruption in their life is not a nazi in hiding.
Everything that has been wrong with the world in the 20th century is 100% with people hoping that a central group of planners can provide for the masses.
