Young Jeezy : “House so big my rooms got rooms”

I think Jeezy was being Sarcastic bruh.. eg. Walk-in closets aka Big ass dressing room within a room.

There are sooo many great rappers out there, it's impossible to keep up unless you do literally nothing else then listen to HipHop. Even more so when you not from the US. Just a few random names: Tech N9ne, KAAN, Token, Ces Cru, JID, Joey Badass, Locksmith, Murs, Royce 5'9...

@TheChosenOne Good music is good music. The appeal of good music has no age or race barrier. A lot of new age rap, as you call it, is too simple minded and repetitive. Good music appeals to all the senses. It's kinda like movies today, they are less on plot and character development but more on special effects and cheap thrills.

@@yubbityyubba7749 No. I'll continue to share my opinions wither you like it or not. You're free to do the same. Based on what you're saying, you have no clue. Just speak for yourself.
I understand the appeal of simple minded rap lyrics. It's simple feeling and it strokes your ego while jamming out to it. It has no substance other than that. You're just a mindless zealot listing to that stuff. The sad thing is when people take those simple minded lyrics too seriously.
You shouldn't strive to acquire hoes in different area codes, you want a girl friend you care about or a wife. You don't learn that till you grow up. But again, it's sad because some people don't grow up till it's too late.
Non-sense rap is teaching kids bad habits from an early age. I'm not saying ban the stuff, I'm just saying simple rap has no substance and it pales in comparison to old school rap.
Rap today taste great but has less filling.

Music changed based on the medium used to produce it and consume it. You had to really search for the good shit, and this is where the bloggers started to become big such as 2DopeBoyz, Allhiphop.com, and the likes. Underground really became underground during the Ringtone era... But the music has always been about partying in. Reggie Watts sounds like how I used to be, a real music snob. Once I gained more knowledge of the genre, I realized that music has always been about party life.

A large part of hip hop, rap is coming from a place of no wealth for generations so they think material items have more value than what they actually have. Its the same with many societies. Large parts of Asia, China who traditionally have not had any wealth, who now have some, also like to flaunt it and are highly into labelled, high end goods. It goes in cycles. If you didnt know who Bill gates or Mark Zuckerberg were and you saw them walking down the street you wouldn't assume they had billions of dollars. After a few generations material items and flaunting it loses its appeal. It becomes like meh. Almost is actually uncool to flaunt it. Thats when you know you have real wealth through the family.
