    Finally a man that knows how to boil crawfish!! Great Video. I actually bought the boil boss to cool the pot and it does work great and easy. The good ole hose works good too!! great vid and you have new subscriber.

      @@EverydayMan I didn't like payment that much for a glorified hoola hoop, but it works. It only takes about 3 minutes to get temp down to about 150.

      @@EverydayMan definitely! We have some shellfish similar called “yabbies” or “marrons” but boils aren’t a thing here! I have a local “USA foods” store near me that I get zatarains and other boil things from, and Costco for crab legs and prawns etc so I make do

      I went check the Boilboss web site and the price was a lot cheaper than last time I saw them at the Sportsman Show. I bought it😁

      @@EverydayMan Woohoo! It's on now! It gets the temp down to 155 within 5-7 minutes with stirring. I've used it for 2 years and ill never go back to ice again. I bought the purple one.

    We boil a lot alike.
    The only thing I do different is I put the onions, potatoes, garlic in the water before lighting the burner. Bring the water to a boil and add the crawfish.
    Once I cut the fire off I add all the cold stuff. Corn, sausage, etc. All of these things are already cooked so they only need to be warmed and the cod temperature helps bring the water temp down also.
    Throw a boil boss around the pot and stir for 3 minutes. Cover the pot and soak for 25-30 minutes

      @@EverydayMan have you used it yet? I just got mine about two weeks ago and used it for the first time this weekend past. Hands down the best way to drop the temp!
      it makes dropping that temp below 150 a breeze!
      Turn the fire off, throw it on, stir the pot for 3/4 minutes
      If you have a 100qt or 120qt it’ll take about 5/6 minutes
      There’re worth their weight in gold man!

    Great video, I'm boiling for the first time in May. I have to boil for 30 people. Tons of pressure haha. I'll use this video. How many minutes did you boil them for, and how many minutes did you let them soak? Every video I've watched has something different. Also, If I do potatoes can I cook them the same way as you did the lemons and onions? Thanks

    Thank You Kindly I’m in Lake Charles from NOLA and everywhere I go for crawfish there seasoning on top!!!! They swear that’s the way to go it!!! I’m like noooooooo the seasoning goes in the pot. Also they add boiled eggs 😑 😣

      You can add shrimp right before you turn off the fire. Im not sure about adding crabs since cook times and soak times would be different.

    I have never cooked crawfish before. How would an assortment of citrus work? Ex. Lemons, oranges, lime, maybe blood oranges.

      Works pretty good. In the end I prefer lemons but have used oranges.

      Lemons are traditional. Oranges is some new thing some people are using and they seem to mix them with lemons. I just use lemons cuz that’s how I grew up and it’s always good and tastes how it’s supposed to when you got the crab boil seasoning in it with the lemons.

    DO NOT PUT SALT ON YOUR CRAWFISH TO PURGE THEM!!! Also don’t put salt in the pot for seasoning since crab boil has enough salt as it is.
