I have had alsorts of configurations with MBTA, Metrolink, & Amtrak vehicles together. The only issues are when putting the Caltrain stock in formation, the Nippon Sharyo sets don't seem to work with other locos propelling. I tend to have ATC & ACSES turned off on the West Coast routes as Metrolink don't seem to have them. I also have yet to drive the grey Metrolink locos since every time I spawn in and get the service train as it turns up in I end up with one of the F125s. I have also found on the San Bernardino line I seem to have my finger on the horn more than off the horn.

Not all the carriages are compatible. To stay sane each DLC has its own version of simugraph (the game component responsible for making trains work) - over the years the way trains are built in simugraph has changed to the point that old ones often won't work with new ones.

I figured out why I couldn’t go too fast, I didn’t know about setting a path so I would just drive the train and not know why the lights were red or the speed limit was max 20. Sorry about that

@@Dreblazin Ah all good then, yes setting a path is important 😸

I had the 20 mph issue in the Caltrain Route on the CTC-5 cab car in a scenerio going SB starting from 22nd st

If you run it on a route with ATC/ACSES, keep the safety systems off. That route doesn't have them, so the train never gets any information.

@@MbtaVideoClips it will absolutely happen on any non Boston route. It needs to be paired with the signalling system. I haven't tried but it might also work on New York Trenton.

@@anthonypecoraro5472 even with them off the adu may defensively lock you into 20 which is what it does when it loses contact with the signalling system. I'll have to give it a try.

I was going to buy MBTA commuter till i found out the trains dont sub over to sprinter that was basically the point of buying it for me. Ill just wait for a sale and buy WCML for now.

@@gtasandman that's a perfectly fine thing to do, if MBTA Commuter sells well it might give impetus to a remaster of Boston Providence. It's had a couple of good upgrades (signals and timetable) but could do with a visual pass and substitution from Commuter.
