I'm so hyped up for this route - I'm a similar age to you, and grew up next to the WCML south, so anything WCML in BR blue is going to make me happy; especially if it's from Just Trains. I wish the WCML south had been set in the 19080's too, but I'm just happy to have it. Can't wait to sit down and drive a class 87 - release day can't come soon enough!
It was only a matter of time before this video came out 😂 cannot wait for this to come out, and even got surprised today seeing that JT are hosting a dev preview on Tuesday!
Good to see your reaction video... nothing too surprising in there, Just Trains do make such a good job of their routes and it feels like they care a lot more about details than certain other pedlars of TSW tat. I'll give it a northern review.. "aye.. s'alright s'spose". 😀 This route will be great to have as it brings back memories of a railtour with my dad in the late 80s I think it was on the Pilkington train, settle to Carlisle plus WCML on the return, took in steamtow as well.
Excited for this route- It'll be nice to run some more Pacer stuff and try guard mode out (I held back on buying WCMLS because of the state it was on release). The 87 looks like a fun challenge, I've mastered the 101 recently and am looking for something new
The route like you said brings you nostalgia for me atleast would be a route around Yorkshire- Hull-Doncaster via Goole / Howden (but preferably Goole cause that's where I come from) Ideally set in 2015 but modern day would do bc I know they have the Northern licence. Rolling stock would be: Perkins 158/7 (2015 or 2024) Either class 180 or 802 Hull trains (for 2015/2024 respectively) and 144 or 170 (For 2015 or 2024) It's my childhood route, it got me into railways and trainspotting
Many real miles travelled on the WCML. Edinburgh / Warrington. Shame they don't have smello-vision, the odour of the brakes coming down for 110mph to about 50mph used to fill the vestibule between the coaches.
@TinTin_57 the best you could manage for attention to detail was the headlight? You need to go back and watch the stream AGAIN! Just rewatched it myself to confirm - IF the Class 87 is not quite enough of a white knuckle ride you can Isolate Traction Motors for a more challenging experience! (See the section where Matt P is invited by Just Trains to set the DSD and explore the Machine Room prior to departing Preston - around 20:00 minutes in.) I think this has been done before on some US locomotives in TSW, but a first for UK and Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)?
I second that. Settle - Carlisle is a must do route if only for historic reasons alone especially since we so nearly lost it in real life. It’s a wonderful route to actually travel on and is something you must do if you haven’t done so already.
I’m more looking forward to driving my mate Class 390 Avanti Pendolino. I will use this on scenario planner. I will also use northern and Transpennine express. Will be also nice to be a passenger on First class on the Avanti 👍
The stream look great and was a great preview. One gripe I do have is the service bus going over the viaduct at Carlisle at the end of the Preston - Carlisle run looked like a cut & paste job from TVL dlc? Buses operating in Carlisle back then were operated by Cumberland Motors Services, as such they were an Ayers red and sandstone livery. 1986 was the year Cumberland Motor Services got the franchise if memory serves me correctly and 1987 was the year Stagecoach took over and white buses started to appear it’s going to annoy me if I keep seeing the wrong colour buses everywhere. A real immersion killer for me personally and one that surely shouldn’t be hard to put right? A small detail in the eyes of some maybe but a very important point for me personally that will annoy me if not corrected.
Great thoughts. I only know this route from TSC as well. Just out of interest Lukas beat them to first toilet. I think this is the first toilet accessible to the player but there's one in a German train players can't get to. You only see it by letting the train run over you while crouched.
Is it just me, but this probably would be more interesting if set in Carlisle to Glasgow, or is it just me? a bit more north with bit more hill climbing, speed changes with more turns...
Hey TinTin, can you paste the join link to your discord server in the reply pls. When I click the link my iPhone takes me to the App Store to open discord and it loses the invite oddly. Love your commentary and I agree, having seen the preview stream, the 26th can’t come soon enough 😍
Looks like one of the best dlc for TSW. But not sure if I will buy it immediately. Just get myself a Xbox setup + flightstick and FS2020 AND preorder FS2024.
Oh dear. I must be the only one who isn't hyped anymore. . . After trying the classic version and falling foul of the neutral sections all the time. I've lost interest in this. Unless I missed it there seems to be no guide of anything showing on the hud as to where they are. . . Not interested in having to keep losing my temper trying to restart it. I'm not know for my patience. 😅

I'm really excited about this route. This is a local route and I am familiar with the line from Carlisle to Oxenholme, and a bit beyond.
cant wait glad they had a train on the Windermere line hope i can drive that rout as well. great vid

Mate if JT are watching, that means you’re adding something. You’re making a difference 👍🏻😎
If you like this video..... JT gives a preview as well next Tuesday 19:30 uk time on their own YT channel. Its absolute a bizar nice route!
I tell you, I’ll be there when your stream comes. No doubts. I’ll buy it!
Thanks mate
Lightweight! I've watched it FOUR times! Can't wait!.... Sorry for roasting you about your faux pas at Oxenholme! 😂

Thanks again your excellent with your descriptions
Thanks for that
Thanks very much. Gonna be top quality.
I always check if the toilet doors work when exploring a new train
i was waiting for this video thanks
Hope you enjoyed it!
Bet you loved that little shout-out must admit I was happy for you when they mentioned your name 😂
That was very nice of them, all I need now is every viewer that saw the preview to subscribe to my channel now ha ha
The Settle - Carlisle route would be a good next step would be cool to do some 87 drags on diversions
Agreed, perfect

@@TinTin_57 It really should be Carlisle to Skipton. The service doesn't stop and start in Settle
@@norfolkhall ideally I’d have the full Leeds to Carlisle with a 1st gen emu to run to skipton but I’m not sure they would do that!
Great video. For me, travelling west highland line 1980s would give the memories. But I'm really looking forward to this one.
Would love anything in the highlands too! Enjoy playing the highland routes in TS Classic

With coming from the North I to can’t wait to drive and I’m just as excited as Tintin
Funny. We can't wait. Take my money now.

Ha ha awesome
@TinTin_57 I only wished I had been there when Matt saw it 🤣
I believe these types of toilets were banned in Germany as too many customers were complaining of health and safety issues and headaches.
@@MrWilfAdventures lolololol from when the axles hit them in the head 🤣
Great video mate. Ive got a ps4 pro at the moment. Still looking forward to the route. Looking to get a ps5 in the next few months.
Thanks mate

Just you mate ;-) Kidding aside, both sections if we can have them would be great and compliment each other very well.
I know what you mean plus you could divert via Holytown or Mossend too.
Looking forward to some more electric dmu’s in the future?
In the meantime this is surely going to be epic
Certainly I think this should live up to all expectations
Amazing man 💯💯💯
Please could anyone just explain what will be absent from the Xbox One release Thank You.
Can't wait to have a blast in a super can 😂

Mate have you been paying attention all this time or what? lol. Actually in TSC there is a tutorial (I think). Just check.
@TinTin_57 obviously not paying attention to erm. Nope, I lost it again .
Take that compliments nicely cause you’ll never get that ever again 😉
And I mean missing Oxenholmes
Looks canny
