❤ No one else could sing Journey songs but Steve Perry.
They've actually had multiple singers take his place after he left, and they sound almost indistinguishable from him. In addition to that, there are some great Journey songs from before Steve joined the band.

There is only one Steve Perry. I won't listen to any other Journey singer versions. He is Journey. The writing, the voice and the soul. You can't replace all of that.

Steve Perry's voice is a nice night cruising through the LA city on the highway, sitting in the passenger seat or in the back leaning my head out the window just a bit to catch the LA breeze and the city lights hitting on my face. Just heaven.
My favorite song from that album. There were bigger hits, but this one was phenomenal.

I just wish you guys knew the extent of recognition that Steve Perry has received for his gifted voice. I don't think you have really, truly heard him belt one out yet. So I recommend that you check out 'Mother Father' performed in Houston at the Escape Tour (1981), and try to have the lyrics handy. It will blow your mind. The studio version is good but does not produce the same effect.

I was at this concert here ! It was at the JFK Stadium 🏟️ in Philadelphia. We all new Journey was filming their video for ( Send her my love ) I was to the right of the stage me and my girl . Never forget !

If you love Steve you will regret not reacting to Wheel in the Sky 1980 live from Osaka Japan. It is a performance like no other! He has great interactions with with crowd and the intro will make you weak. Made me weak. Never heard him sing like he did in this performance! Loving your reactions and channel. Love from Texas!🤠🤠🤠

I saw them in 1983 in Charlotte NC. I was 19. It’s been 40 years and I still have my concert tshirt.
I just saw Journey in concert on March 21st. ToTo was their opening act. It was an incredible concert!! This is their 50th year as a band! I saw them 8 years ago as well, but this time the dynamics and the energy was just different. It was truly a special performance. I so wish that Steve Perry would perform with them once again . I know that would never happen, but it sure would be incredible. Their lead singer that they have now (Arnel Pineda) has been with them for 15 years and has done a great job.
You guys kept commenting about Steve's incredible voice. There is a reason why he is nicknamed "The Voice". He is one of rocks best vocalists ever
I was just at the Moline concert myself and I saw Journey around 8 years ago myself in Peoria but your right the energy was amazing in this concert. It will be sad when they stop performing.

Wow - what an awesome concert! Toto is my favorite band, so I would have loved to have been there. We usually see Toto every year, but we haven't gotten to see them for the last couple of years. And Toto was Sold Out for VIP early & we usually like to go back and see them & catch up on things. So maybe, God willing, next year we will see our guys! 😎

This was at JFK stadium in Philly in 1983 I think if I'm not mistaken. Attendance was 91.451 or something close. That speaks volumes on how this special band made us all feel. This era of music will never return again. Makes me sad but I lived thru it and it was awesome. I have the memories. 😢 Plus TH-cam. Lol
