  • Here is our unboxing and setup video for our Venture Forward North Shore 8 Person Tent! We bought the tent for our off-grid property because we have some family coming for a visit very soon and we don't have enough space in our micro cabin or cargo trailer conversion. The tent is 10'x12' and over 7' high inside, plus it includes a 50 square foot screened area in the front of the tent.
The tent was really well packaged and included a nylon bag for storage. The metal poles are color coded for easy setup and it only took about 15 minutes to setup the first time (so I'm sure it will be easier the next time we need it). The ceiling is screened, but the tent includes a rain fly that covers the entire tent.
This is our initial setup of the tent and our Magellan Outdoors Tritech Inflatable mattress, so we'll be doing a review of both in an upcoming video. Stay tuned for more as we'll be finishing up our outdoor shower and water collection system soon, plus we just purchased an on-demand hot water system so we'll do an unboxing of that, as well.
Thanks for stopping by! Please like and subscribe and follow us for more adventures as we work on continuing our off-grid adventure and getting back on the road!

We enjoyed your video, and ordered one of those tents after watching! Can't wait to try it! Great view of the creek, and you sure made it look cozy inside! 🙂

What a great video. Probably the most beautiful and comfortable tent setup I've ever seen! Thanks for sharing.

Good video. Thanks for posting this. How long have you folks had the tent set up?
How's the future longevity look with it?

Good question! It held up to the wind and rain well, but a recent storm resulted in a chair outside the tent going through the wall of the tent - so it was destroyed. If not for that I'm sure the tent would still be fine!

@@CupcakeandCornbread Hard to be mad at the tent for that!
We do a LOT of car camping because of day hiking and also Wheelhorse tractor events.
We've just ordered this same model.
Hopefully we'll get at least our standard 2 or 3 seasons from it. Appreciate your fast response!!

Can one person set up this tent? Long story short, I own this tent, but I’ve never set it up. I’m going camping alone over Labor Day.

I think your biggest issue (as far as setting it up by yourself) will be the fiberglass poles. They have a cord holding them all together and will need to be extended to go through the tent, but if you don't keep it rigid it can be a little difficult. It might get a little frustrating, but I'm sure you can handle it! Have fun!

I bought one of these tents. Sad to say, it was of low quality. Parts were missing. Had to toss it into the trash. Get what you pay for, I guess.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much when we bought this one because it was so inexpensive (comparatively). It has held up really well for us, no leaks through several seasons, so we've been happy with it.
