It is unfortunate that Home Town Buffet closed down some locations and closed them down abruptly. Unfortunately, some other Buffets in the past have gone out of business such as Country Harvest, King's Table, Fresh Choice, Perry Boys, Perry's, Royal Fork, JJ North's, Nordic Buffet, and Sveden House.

I worked at one of these locations. I woke up and was getting ready for work when my manager called and told me the store was closed. The night before they were talking about about whether or not they had a future. I wasn't upset by it and went back to sleep but in hindsight I could have pursued charges for giving me a only a 15 minute notice.

Here's the deal; EXCELLENT place to eat. BUT, NOT a good place to work. I wasted time (4 months) at my local HTB, 27 years ago. It HELLA SUCKED!!!!! The harder I worked, the worse I was treated. When I got burnt out, and FINALLY quit, the place slowly but surely went to to shit. I'll kill myself before I'll work in the food service again. I got into another line of work, and cleared over $166K last year. Enjoy!!!!!!

It's a small children restaurant that gets overcrowded quickly with few edible selections and has customers who are mostly vulgar and rude.
