What a coincidence, yesterday as I was watching your videos, a little thought wandered throught my head. I thought some Stardew Valley content would be fun seeing on your channel, and now boom, here it is. The video was very entertaining, refreshing even. (after all of those speedruns i've watched) Anyway, you said we could recommend you some stuff so, I would like to share some tips and routines I usually do, at a newly created world to make even the slightest progression through the day: (warning, the explaining may be a little messy and confusing) So, when you first wake up watch the tv to see if you got a good luck day, or a bad luck one. If you have a good luck day, and you have the mines open (it's where you saw that big boulder blocking a path near the lake with the dude on the other side of it) you will see a dark enterance on the stoney wall, which will be the mines. You should go mining a few levels down to get some resources which are usually needed for early game tool upgrades and some bundles in the future progression. The other thing I would recommend is fishing. It may be hard at first but as you level up in the fishing skill it becomes a lot easier. Especially since that green indicator grows bigger by each level you earn, so it wont stay that little forever. You can also buy new fishing rods at Willy's shop, (it's right down by the beach on the docks) since they get unlocked at each level you earn in the fishing skill. They are also good for catching better quality fish which sell for more, than regular fish. I usually use fishing as quick money making. Another thing I recommend is farming. As you progress through the game there's gonna be a lot of gathering and donating things, and also the Community Center will open (that big building with the clock next to the fountain) and there, you'll have to donate majority of things you collect and harvest, such as; crops/wild crops, fishes, ores, money, ect.... The rooms you'll have to donate these in, will be sectioned with many bundles. Each bundle completion will reward you with some goodies. Some useful, some really not. It all depends on how far are you in the gameplay and how much of those items you already own. The Community Center cutscene will happen after you introduce yourself to all the villagers in town. Mayor Lewis will unlock it for you, but even after it's unlocked and you are able to enter it, you won't be able to progress yet, since the first bundle that appears will be written in a strange language that you can't read. So, you'll have to meet the Wizard, located in his tower in the Cindersap Forest, who's gonna give you a zesty little potion, which will magically make you understand the language the bundle is written in. The easiest way to do the introducing mission is by wating for an event where all the villagers are attending, so you can talk to every single one at the same place. After the Community Center is unlocked and you are able to open the first bundle, you can start collecting the things which are needed for it's completion. You also unlock more rooms with bundles in them by completing a single bundle in any room. If you accidentally miss a certain item that is needed for a seasonal bundle, unfortunatly you will have to wait a whole year for it or, if you check the Traveling Merchant who also appears on every Friday and Sunday in the Cindersap Forest. She may offer the item you are looking for, for a decent price. With crops, this wont be a problem if you have the greenhouse unlocked by year 2. (I usually unlock it by then. Some people may already have it in year 1) Since you will be able to grow crops there in any season no matter what season they specifically grow in. I hope this little essay will be helpful for you or even for someone else who recently got back into Stardew Valley or even for a first time player who needs a little help on where to start. I hope it wasn't too confusing reading through. My punctuations are a lil messed up, I know... Happy playing tho!
stardew valley is my current hyperfixation but I’m trying to avoid late game spoilers, I’m so happy to see someone making early game stardew content!! Your video was really chill and fun to watch I can’t wait for the rest of this series :)
