I learned "Trouble On My Mind" from George Gibson of Knott County, Kentucky, who learned it from Orgus "Gran" Hudson (also of Knott County) circa 1960.
My instrument is a 1920s Vega "Tubaphone" #banjo tuned ~gDGBD.

At the moment s family health crisis. But when the dust settles I will be reaching out to give a little support. You are on even my shortest list.
Now I realized I was standing next to you Clinton when Aaron Stevens was playing
Sorry I didn’t introduce myself or my son. My son was so engulfed in watching Aaron play.
We were just to the left of the Speaker by the TV
I remember yall.
That’s beautiful your boy is normal. God bless you.
Made that banjo sing like it's never sung before
That banjo made Clifton sing like he's never sung before. Tuned higher than usual.
@@sir0nion 😆
holy shit clif playing and singing without drop tuning
I appreciate you sharing your musical talent with us, and preserving an important part of American culture
書いてくれてありがとう。
I'm blessed to have n play one of these
God bless Clifton Hicks
I love all your music but this is my favorite, my fight song to get me motivated.

Hotdog!
Everyone relax. He's just using fancy city-slicker editing tricks to appear as a floating face and hands playin a banjo. Y'all might not be able to see it but the top of his head and torso are still there in real life.
Whew! I was a little freaked out. Thanks for talking me down. :)
🤣😂🤣
God damn it
That's why I don't wear camo anymore
Thank you Clifton this song helps me dance through my troubles. Enjoyed every version you've made and each has their own emotion captured in it's moment in time ,really brought the song back to life .God bless you .
Damn fine pickin on a damn fine banjo
is aaron dancing?
You know he was.
Music that makes that log cabin take notice and dance! Kind Thanks Clifton and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
That was a great one. Bright banjo! Looks and sound! But the picker is the best! Even the crack in your voice did it good. 👍
Nice shirt!
🔥🪕🔥🚿 Damn good
I like the way you sang this one 🎶 You gave it that nice Apalachen flair.
💚
I really appreciate your Banjo style
Dig it 😊
Excellent. I appreciate your talent, choice of songs and your collection of Banjo's! Well done.
Man, that cooked. Skitter-skatter sound lends me me to proper daydreams
Great rendition of this American Classic!
Banjo and army drabs. You got my heart
Awesome!
As usual.
God bless! 🙏🏻
I don’t get tired of this, that’s why I know I’ll play it good like you on day :)
Always a good listen
Way to go, Clifton!👍👍
Never can get enough of your sound! Hope you had a good time there!
Good job
DAAAAAAMN BROTHER THIS IS A GOOD ONE. 👍🏻
Should do the 357 string band's evil on my mind too but make it in your own style.
Needed to bear this alot !! Haha thanks
A song for now!
Goddamn love it.
nice
Daggone good picking bud. Hard to avoid trouble with a banjo in your hand
I gotta min pin named sheriff Rye whiskey. That might sing chorus with you bossman.
That’s a good’un.
Fort Oglethorpe?
You look a little uncomfortable singing that high, but I reckon it sounds awesome!
Yes. I believe the banjo was raised up to G, plus I'd already blown my voice out the night before.
Cool location. What's it? A pioneer village?
Hagood Mill Historic Site in Pickens, South Carolina.
@@blainechappell5383 what was the event? I live in Pickens and had no idea anything was happening. I’m very disappointed I missed this.

Pov: your a confederate soldier
молодец ты так и медведя научись играть на своей банджи супер а меня вот нет потому что я даже на гитаре играть не могу
Woody Guthrie: “this machine kills fascists.”
Clifton: writes songs that celebrate fascists like Kyle Rottenhouse
🙄
Have an objective perspective. Quit bleating.
Regardless of why Rittenhouse was there that night, and whether or not Rittenhouse is a racist or a "fascist," he was attacked, and he LEGALLY defended himself. The prosecution was absolutely atrocious, and the defense was straight forward. That's exactly how the justice system saw it.
Derek Chauvin is going to jail for 25 years for a brutal murder, because he destroyed the life of a defenseless person. That's how the justice system saw it.
Tell me I'm lying, and reveal how blind and foolish you are. I'm sad seeing how much critical thinking and objectivity is disappearing from the US.
Why take the time to write a disparaging post? Move along little doggy.
Crawl back into your hole.
@@blainechappell5383 yea no one can think for themselves anymore
That was awesome. Great player 🎯
