Always wonderful to see South Africa. Hitched around the country for 3 months as a poor Scottish student in my kilt in 1992 and fell in love with the place. Amazing people in a very special part of the world.
In recent years, I have almost been regretting not moving to South Africa when I was younger. It seems to be a most amazing country and this wonderful video did not help in alleviating any regret I have of not moving to South Africa.
Wow. What an incredible video. I am a South African living in Cape Town and have been following your channel for several months. I live the bush and have been to many reserves in Southern Africa. I have watched numerous documentaries on wild life over 50 years and don't recall ever seeing such incredible photography/videography on wild life. Kudos.
Absolute stunning video. I am a South African and loves the bush and animals, but this is the best compilation of a video about the wildlife I have seen. Thanks for sharing and bringing this reserve to our attention. Next time I am in the Eastern Cape, I will for sure visit Schotia Safaris. Enjoy the rest of your tour and may God bless and protect you.
As a child raised by National Geographic and Discovery Channel, I gotta say, getting to experience Africa must have to be mesmerizing and magical, like discovering magic for the first time. What an Spectacular episode!!!! ¡¡Pura Vida!!
This was indeed your best after years! Loved it very much! Must have been a real treat! These Safaris are extremely expensive! Many thanks to your host and yourselves!
OMG Realy Love this Video ! It’s always bin a dream of mine to go to Africa. And having seen this Epic Episode you’ve triggered me even more to one day come over. And Schotlia Safari will definitely be on my to visit list when I do get to Africa ! What an adventure ! So envy you and also loving it you shared this so I can dream again to one day do this myself ! Wow !
Aaaaagh, you guys were beaming with excitement and fun... Imagine when you hit the Kruger Park where the animals are really roaming free. Then comes Moremi, Savute, Chobe,... Enjoy enjoy enjoy...
Wow, Stephanie and Leigh what an amazing video. Done an open canopy Safari in 2008 and when you see the lions approach the vehicle It’s so surreal with the thoughts of will they won’t they take a nibble out of me? They were not even 20 meters from the vehicle in twigh light and still they were hard to see. I guess I didn’t look delicious to them like yourselves and still here, so enjoy the rest of your African safari .
What a spectacular video showing Africa’s wild life in a great setting . Am really enjoying the Africa video’s to date . And that lion was soooo majestic looking just WOW . thanks again for sharing your wonderful journey and memories of traveling the world with us all your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🦛🐘🦏🦓👍🏼🐗🦒🍻😁👍🏼
That was simply wonderful. A safari is something great in itself. But once again you hit the nail on the head and told your experience in such a way that it became a great experience for us as viewers. Thanks for that!
Incredible video, we, your Dad and I, really enjoyed watching and sharing your experiences. Amazing photography, I think rivalled David Attenborough 😃. Love to you both, miss you dearly. ❤️🩷❤️🩷
Really well done Steph and Leigh. Your trip has been absolutely amazing. The animals are breathtaking. I loved your glamping accomodation at the end, so beautiful. Stay safe guys. ❤️🇦🇺🦘
o thanks you guys, just woke up and having my fav show with my coffee...you guy must feel so privileged experiencing such moment^^this Africa tour is going to be a bomb^^ enjoy and all the best from wa
Sitting here in far south NSW by a lovely tidal creek watching this and glancing out to see if the buffalo or hippo are about, fantastic video , love from. Bermagui
Safari is one of the most magical experiences you can have. It should be on everyones bucket list. It puts humility back in people and respect for wild life.
Definitely. Seeing the animals for real is a totally different experience. I almost cried watching the elephants. I also had many other days at Schotia without my camera, taking it in. Very important.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland I can totally concur. My first encounter with a large bull elephant 3 meters from our Land Rover made me very emotional. 3 days later we had a cheetah jump on the bonnet of our Defender. I had tears in my eyes as I always had a very special affinity with cheetahs. I sponsored through our company a cheetah breading program in South Africa. We currently sponsor Snow Leopard conservation program.
That was incredible. Thank you for taking the time to share that with us. I don't know that I would be up to camping in the wild, especially with lions roaming around!
Great video, (as always). If I ever head back to SA for a visit I’ll go and see them. I grew up near that area and could be a good stop for Fiona and I .
The most important takeaway from this is the African mantra regarding wild game: "if it pays, it stays." It is only the money spent by tourists in the pretty areas and hunters in the harder regions, that allows wild game to flourish once again. Otherwise, it would all still be dairy cattle as far as you can see.

The animals are happy and they thank you Justin.
Again great shots guys 😊
Too bad we don't get the smells and aroma.
Great close up views of the animals, another great video. Those 'devil' thorns are the worst.
Amazing park and owners. Wow those lions. Thanks for the incredible ride.

Thank you so much mum. If only I could narrate that in a voice as cool as Sir David 😜
Did I miss the Meerkats? Top photography! Good job. 👍🏻🙏🦘

Grand merci
Lovely to see the area again. My dear friends live next door on Grasmere.
Awesome happy you experienced that. Scotia Safaris on the bucket list!
Definitely! Also next door is Addo Elephants park. Worth a combo.
Thank Q, Steph and Leigh. For a very interesting episode

Thanks for taking us on safari
Yet another excellent episode!
Fabulous episode thanks for sharing!!
That male lion is magnificent !!
Wow, thats a great adventure
Man oh man, that was a great visit, thank you!
Great pleasure.
If I could I'd "like" it twice. That was the next best thing to being there.
amazing. made me jealous 🤪
Those male lions are magnificent 👌
What an awesome place
Oh magnifique des moments incroyables
Fantastic wild life experience
That was incredible. Thank you for taking the time to share that with us. I don't know that I would be up to camping in the wild, especially with lions roaming around!
It's not the wild. It's a farm. There's no wilderness really left in South Africa.
They're still dangerous animals!
@@jackrolfson312 You got me there!
Great video, (as always). If I ever head back to SA for a visit I’ll go and see them. I grew up near that area and could be a good stop for Fiona and I .
Highly recommended mate. They have a few lovely old Series on the property as well 😉
Magique......merci
Avec plaisir
Thank you for sharing. So many places as a South African that I have yet to see. If you I Johannesburg at some point, will you do a meet up?
Thank you for the support ❤ ( for now we are leaving ZA, but will return)
amazing
Yeah! New video
I like the cat family. Ours was domestic, but liked to bring its kills to show us.
Noticed the porcupine quills embedded in the right side of his body, just behind the right shoulder @ 13:11

The closest I've ever been to any of these animals is in a zoo. Be careful on your next rhino run!😊
In SA those are devil thorns
I just hate it when a rhino ruins my morning run!
😂😂 yes it’s annoying
It seems animals, including humans, that run in places like this are prey. Probably a good idea not to go for a run.
No lions in the area I went for a run and the owner gave me permission 😉
