Anything you do is better than what I am doing at the moment... so bring it on!! Hey I watch a guy that lives in Merida, MX He has a variety of channels but honestly the one I love the most is a "walk n talk" video where he simply talks about a variety of topics whilst walking to the store or post... what most people think of is boring ... I love!! I really enjoy hearing him verbalize his thoughts for the day.. sometimes it's inspirational, and sometimes it's a vent about politics, weather, or the traffic. ANYTHING at all is great! Another one I love is a lady from Italy that has to walk down 500 steps to go anywhere from her home on the hill.... she talks about what she sees along the way or what her plans for the day might be no matter how ordinary it might be to her, it is extraordinary to me!! And this is how you have to think of it :) Just don't stop! Positano Diaries on TH-cam and Jose A from Merida... forgot the name of his channel... but yeah.. keep doing this!
Hey thanks so much for this feedback! I’m 100% going to do more of this because it’s enjoyable AND very easy to produce! All my other videos too 10-20 hours each to edit / film and became daunting. I think the top tier locations will still get that treatment but between those videos I will keep on with these walk and talk videos :) What are the names of these channels you have mentioned!? As I'm watching your video I love the clarity and tranquility of Puerto Escondido. This video is probably your best pura natural y unedited. The sounds of nature are beautiful to the ears. That was a crazy experience in the cabana. It's a wonder if you had any sleep. Awesome Finn!
Kev!!!!! Thanks for your feedback amigo! I didn’t sleep well at all I’m the cabana. Once those cockroaches came through the cracks in the wall, it was game over - I felt dirty the whole stay. Awesome video Finn, reminds me of the wonderful adventures we had together in Puerto Escondido, personally I like the unedited raw style videos like this one, as they are personal and real just like when you took me out and showed me around town. So surprised by the calm waters it was never like this back in September.

Thanks for the walk, that was fun. Two years ago, when I was at the Adonquin end of the walkway, there was caution tape and a danger sign discouraging access. I was curious about how far the walkway went so I appreciate you taking us along. However, I have heard of petty robberies along the walkway so anyone undertaking that walk should be advised to take as little of value as possible.
We paid $300 pesos for two day beds at Carrizalillo - the overpriced beer was extra. After being away for two years, I am sad to see that Carrizalillo is overrun by the hostel crowd. I am concerned about how busy it will be after Christmas when the Mexican families arrive from inland for their holiday.
On another note - I am not sure I agree that USA gringos are the primary group on the RInconada (or even close). This year, Dec. 2021 - the majority of tourists that I have encountered are German, Australian and UK. The residents of the Bacocho apartments we are staying in are either European or Mexican. I have not seen as many USA or Canadian baby boomers as usual. Happy travels!
Hey Dan! I heard stories after undertaking the coastal walk about potential robberies - I didn’t feel unsafe but in hindsight could see the danger in the isolation and doing it alone. I’ll pin a warning message to this Vlog comments thread. Overall the walkway was awesome, I cut the final 2 minutes off from this video purely to save time so what you saw was almost all of the walk. I hope the city upgrades it one day. Could even connect it to Playa Angel and Carizalillo. What do you think? Carizalillo and most of Puerto is being ruined with each passing day.
The trashy tourism has arrived and will only get worse until we end up with another Tulum situation. (My opinion / prediction).
I’ll be sure to check out the beaches around Bacocho. I once tried to get down there but a resort was blocking the way.
