Many folks are asking how to: To remove an item you have added to the launcher home screen is easy. You move onto the icon you wish to remove, then press the MENU button on the remote, it brings up the list of apps with the one you are trying to remove the top and a "-" sign beside it. Just press OK and it gone.
I have 2 of these Yoka KB2 Pro boxes. I have updated the OS to Android 7.1 using the Vorke Z1 firmware update. I have been running the same apps on both, consisting of Kodi 17.4, ES File Explorer, ARC Game browser (with about 5000 roms using various emulators) and even running Splashtop on them to control my desktop and play about 1500 wii games (using dolphin on my pc), plus a few other apps. My benchmarks have dropped about 1500 running 7.1, but it is tons more stable. I had been having frequent lock-ups with Kodi 17.4 using the MQ7 skin, but with the 7.1 update, it rarely happens. When it does, it is usually from trakt or quasar. I am about to update 2nd box since I am getting much better, quicker responses, and much more stable running apps. Please note: You will lose the fancy launcher and intro though. Thought I would pass it along.
Dell Moore does this android box automatically switch to the correct refresh rate when streaming. For e.g when it boots up it'll be 1080p 60hz and if I stream will it auto switch to 24hz?
You can select "auto" in the android display settings and it will try to match your display to its maximum quality. As far as the streaming, I would think that would depend on what player you are streaming with, if it is capable of adjusting the refresh rate to 24hz. The box is capable of displaying it no problem. You can also select 1080p-24hz in the android settings if this is what you wish all the time.
Dell Moore thanks for the quick reply. I have a minix u9-h it switches as needed. I was looking for a 2nd box for another room. I read a few reviews and some people say auto refresh switching does not work on some boxes. If the box does not switch you will notice frame drops.

Alan Robson. Did you find out how to remove apps from the front page? I would like to know also. I have done it before but forgot how and would prefer not to do a factory reset. (That works, but then, gotta reload all the apks, Perfect Player AND ALL OF THOSE IPTV CODES AND SETTINGS.). * I have the KB2 (2Gigs RAM box ~ LOVE IT !) If I ever need a new one, I will get this 3Gig KB2 Pro Octa core, but am not a gamer so I probably don't need that speed.

I use the box mainly for streaming and browsing the internet. Also this Yoka box sounds like the best deal going but the prices seem a tad high. Trending around $80.00. Hi, your welcome and thank you for your comments. If your only streaming and browsing then 16GB is more than sufficient. Storage is only needed for installing the large games. I always give priority to RAM, the more RAM you can get the better the user experience. The H96 coupons i believe are still working so there is a very good deal there if you like that box.

Discovered your channel c/o youtube and very pleased with your presentations. This is actually fortuitous as I really need a good Android TV box to replace my not so "smart" Sony 1080p TV. I do watch TH-cam, Netflix, Showbox and Terrarium TV so need something to cover all of them. This box appears to fit the bill but your listing only shows 480p for Netflix. Is this correct? If so then I will have to keep searching. I am in UK.

I'd love to see someone showing how they preformed certain actions . This is my first time using this box and I'm having a world of trouble with it! Box didn't go to a boot-up screen instead went to home page. I'm thinking it was a customer return. The keys on remote are sticking. I clicked on favorite and it stuck in the TV Center. I couldn't get out of favorites. The TV Center Kodi doesn't function.

Very happy with mine. Found and installed the update firmware via the card. No problems at all. Just want to update tvcenter to 17.3 so I can have 2 builds on my tvbox. Tried before with one wizard that (was saying ) it would upgrade within the build. But it installs a 17.3 kodi instead. And tvcenter stays 17.0 . If you have a wizard or solution.... please share. Thanks for the awesome video. Mine had the KOdi 17.0 in TV center. CAn you show us a video on Kodi 17.1 upgrade? I'm just a concerned to uninstall 17.0 since it comes in TV center. My worry is if I uninstall KODI and reintall it from KOdiTV will that go into TV center?
Don't worry, just uninstall existing TV center and then install kodi from play store it will work fine. I already tried. If you ever run into issues just factory reset the box and it will all come back again.
I have two of these. They're great except for the remote which are absolute rubbish. They're good for turning the box on and off and that's about it. I bought wireless keyboards for both of them and they work much better (once I got the hang of the oversensitive mousepad thingys).

No you can't do that, you can change the background home screen to any other which is available for free from play store. But H96 home screen is not available.

Just to let you know at the end of the video there is a chart which will help you choose the best box for your money. However, please also not that you cannot stream 4K Netflix or TH-cam from any of these TV boxes. You can watch 4K movies from USB drive and also stream 4K from Kodi. Only licensed TV boxes like the Nvidia Shield, Fire TV, Roku etc can stream official 4K content.

No problem brotha. What's better Mecool KIII Pro or Wetek Play 2? I am trying to find the best hybrid android tv box for a good price and good benchmark scores
Very tricky to choose between them. Mecool has more powerful specs and performs faster. Wetek is bigger in size and has its own OS based on android 6 called Weos and this OS makes the box very smooth and fast in operation even with lower specs. Another deciding factor maybe the wetek allowed you to record live TV directly to the internal hard drive and external. However the Mecool only allows you to record to external. Both boxes are excellent build quality, prices are very similar too. Another deciding factor is the Mecool comes with 2 different TV tuners as standard. The wetek comes with only one TV tuner and you have the option to purchase additional ones. So those are the facts to help you decide. I personally would go for Mecool as it's smaller in size and has more speed and power.

Easy way to uninstall, Go to all apps, navigate to the app you want to uninstall and instead of pressing ok to open the app press the menu button on the remote looks like 3 horizontal lines, then you will see the option to uninstall.

They both are the same and they both do Skype calls. The YokaTV has 32GB and Mecool has 16GB. The YokaTV has a better performance rating on the benchmark test. Otherwise they are exactly the same so choose either one you will be happy.
YokatTV has a much better build quality, external wifi antenna gives you a solid fast wifi connection. Performance is better, faster and the OS is more stable. You also get a paid version of Airpin software which allows you to mirror your iOS device.

That MENU button solution works with my S77 Remote too ! ... I graduated to the new voice mic / learning; (5 other remotes) S77. I was using the awesome Rii Mini for a year before this one. It's back-lit, has a laser - like mouse pointer and querty keyboard on the back. I got some AAA rechargeable batteries to use with it in a charging base at Walmart for under $10. :) Always handy and timely, 4 extra rechargeable AAAs were $7. You can find an S77 demo video on TH-cam. Is there a better one, I ASK? Thanks again Alan. BTW; I found this solution JUST after I had done a factory reset ... Both TV boxes you mention can stream with no buffering.

Ethernet cable would no doubt be the best connection. However, I am actually using a Powerline in my bedroom and that works well too.

Amazon prime does not work properly on any TV box apart from their own devices.
The Yoka TV remote has a mouse symbol on it, does that button function as an Air Mouse?
It is similar to an air mouse . You get a cursor that can be controlled by the arrow keys and it is very slow to move.

Hi , I've purchased this box now , but having few issues trying too watch 4K films , getting errors saying source too slow , read rate too low unable too,play continuously, I've got internet speed of over 50mbs , could just be site I'm streaming from , but I've tried various and still getting same thing happening , any ideas , keep up with the good videos , cheers
Chigz Tech Reviews I did not k ow that re the 4k streaming. Could you add that into your reviews please as I'm probably not alone in this. I've not got a 4kbtv yet so not bothered but it would have changed my purchasing to the shield.
Yesterday I downloaded SPMC but still have problems. Can't install any addons. Always get the comment: Unable to read the directory structure. To will the source still be added?What should I do?
Kodi and SPMC etc are dying and are nearly dead. There is a lot more to these boxes that just Kodi. You need to start looking at 3rd party APKS.
Does the yokatv kb2 pro support DTS and HD Dobly 5.1 surround.
I believe it does not support DTS or Dobly 5.1.

No sorry i understood wrong. The wifi antenna part is only for the wifi antenna.

Very tricky to choose between them. Mecool has more powerful specs and performs faster. Wetek is bigger in size and has its own OS based on android 6 called Weos and this OS makes the box very smooth and fast in operation even with lower specs. Another deciding factor maybe the wetek allowed you to record live TV directly to the internal hard drive and external. However the Mecool only allows you to record to external. Both boxes are excellent build quality, prices are very similar too. Another deciding factor is the Mecool comes with 2 different TV tuners as standard. The wetek comes with only one TV tuner and you have the option to purchase additional ones. So those are the facts to help you decide. I personally would go for Mecool as it's smaller in size and has more speed and power.

don t get kb2 it is wifi very weak
I use the wifi on my Yoka KB 2 2GB Ram box when not on ethernet hardwire. no problem no buffering at all :) With VPN on and 40 Mbps speed.

No built in Chromecast, but you have other DLNA options and screen mirroring.

Easy way to uninstall, Go to all apps, navigate to the app you want to uninstall and instead of pressing ok to open the app press the menu button on the remote looks like 3 horizontal lines, then you will see the option to uninstall.

Not much expectation for that if you buy Internationally. If you want that you need to purchase something from within your own country.

Kodi is dying and soon will be dead. You have to let it go man 😂. I will make a video soon, there is better stuff out there.

It is as good, in fact i prefer the ESYNIC as the backlight is much brighter. They feel and work the same.

This is a great box, I have not heard about Nougat update, but it works so well it probably does not need it.

They both are the same and they both do Skype calls. The YokaTV has 32GB and Mecool has 16GB. The YokaTV has a better performance rating on the benchmark test. Otherwise they are exactly the same so choose either one you will be happy.

It works with a 1TB and 2TB that i tested. I have not tried a 4TB but i'm sure it would work.

YokatTV has a much better build quality, external wifi antenna gives you a solid fast wifi connection. Performance is better, faster and the OS is more stable. You also get a paid version of Airpin software which allows you to mirror your iOS device.

Found the proper way, (Subject: to remove added app shortcuts from the homepage).
Hover over the one you want to delete, press the Menu button on the remote and it gives you the option to delete.

SO simple and quick, I had forgotten HOW and have no instruction manual to refer to.
That MENU button solution works with my S77 Remote too ! ... I graduated to the new voice mic / learning; (5 other remotes) S77. I was using the awesome Rii Mini for a year before this one. It's back-lit, has a laser - like mouse pointer and querty keyboard on the back. I got some AAA rechargeable batteries to use with it in a charging base at Walmart for under $10. :) Always handy and timely, 4 extra rechargeable AAAs were $7.
You can find an S77 demo video on TH-cam. Is there a better one, I ASK?

BTW; I found this solution JUST after I had done a factory reset ... It needed it anyway to get rid of all the garbage in Kodi. Now I have a FRESH NEW Yoka ! (I wish they came with instructions and a better remote control ~ TELL EM CHIGZ ??)
