Our hearts and prayers go out to Abel's family and his brother Martin. Abel was a good man always helping others. So sad this happened, he will be missed by many lives he touched.
This is about a quarter of a mile from where I was raised in Forest Cove. The old Hwy 59 bridge was notorious for these kinds of accidents because it was so narrow.
I lived just north of Splendora for years between 1969 thru 1977. Drove this highway steadily between Houston and home. I was always wary of crossing that bridge.
One man died after a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer collided on Highway 59 on the San Jacinto River Bridge. Police said that the pickup truck suffered some kind of breakdown when one person pulled over to help. The pickup truck and Good Samaritan were then struck by a tractor-trailer. The person that stopped to assist the stranded motorist was killed in the accident. Five others were taken to hospitals in the Houston, Texas area where updates on their conditions were immediately unavailable. Cleveland Police are assisting with the accident investigation at this time.

We agree. I think Splendora is in Texas, on Hwy 69 north of Houston. A date is also important. Not much left of that vehicle at 1:37 and 1:41. Tragic. Don't know if that guy at 4:36-7 was involved or not but appears to be. Seems to have a pretty good beer-belly on him! Looks like they'll have to tow that truck on its back wheels. They can put the chevy on a truck. As for the other vehicle, it's just a piece of crumbled metal now. Very sad to think someone died in that accident, but looks like it was probably the occupant in the vehicle at 1:37
Info from before the accident: the vehicles were driving, one of the vehicles crashed into the other vehicle, which then crashed into another vehicle. Video takes it from there.
this is why you always use your hazard lights guys. the trail blazer broke down and the f150 stopped to help but didnt have on hazard lights and when the semi came around the curve it was all too late with almost no alert

I worked for towing company that had (illegal) red strobes facing rear. You didn't use them all the time but when you did people gave you more space then amber lights only
If the two stopped vehicles were completely in the pull off area (against the rail), why did the semi truck hit them? Was he actually driving in the pull off lane? I don't understand why the semi didn't see them stopped cause that is a long bridge! I drove it every week from Splendora to IAH, going to work for over a year and that pull off lane is the only place to go if you have trouble. So sad.

Trail Blazer was stalled in right lane, F150 pulled up behind to assist, semi rear ended both at full speed. Is it the truck drivers fault for possibly driving distracted, or the 2 vehicles that were at a dead stop in a travel lane instead of pulling to the shoulder?
Not pointing fingers but it looks like the semi made a quick lane change and the two vehicles were mashed into the guard rail and that one vehicle was ran over by the semi like smashing an aluminum can, what a horrible way to go .

In the past month, I was nearly forced off the interstate by an 18 wheeler drifting into my lane. On the same interstate that also happened to a woman driver who wasn't as fortunate. She rolled her car as she was attempting to avoid a crash and was killed.
I get these old videos, but they help me to remember some things to do for safety. Why don't they have Emergency Triangles or something to place behind cars like they use to? from what i’ve seen, the gold SUV pulled onto the shoulder bc of mechanics problems and the silver pickup was behind the gold SUV, also on the shoulder. a semi hit the truck which made the truck hit the SUV

It beats me why big utility trucks like the Ford F series etc with their separate ladder frames, a design relic from the 1950s, are so popular in the US. Is it a big dick thing or what? @@binladen2739 That was my reaction, too. Didn't realize it was an F150 until the wrecker was getting ready to move it.
I thought maybe it looks like that because they might have removed the roof of the car in order to extricate trapped motorist?
A quanto andavano questi automobilisti...chi corre troppo non arriverà mai a destinazione...mi dispiace tantissimo vedere queste auto ridotte così. 😔
How Horrific!!!!!! 😱😞😱
Damn anyone notice that driveshaft sitting alone on the road that popped out of that Ford Truck? Also every vid you gotta love the cops smiling and laughing.
Laughter during traumatic situation is a coping mechanism
How the hell do you know that’s a ford. It’s deformed beyond recognition. Oh never mind I found one way to recognize it. By its taillights
A lot of people specially young people think this days that they are invisible some adults 🧑 think 🤔 the same way why be a a rush when there is more time than life for this fella this was the end of life.
How many have died on that bridge?
HOW are those people still alive with the F150 looking like that? It looks like there would be no survivors with it being torn apart like that!!
because the worst of it is on the passenger side, which one didn't survive. the driver still had space, tho.
Jesus Christ Montgomery County has a lot of fatal accidents! I'm never going there.
Charlie Montgomery has a lot of DWI’s. They get drunk and then drive really fast the wrong way. It’s sad and there’s little accountability. Some people have multiple DUIs and since alcohol is legal we will see much more of this
Speed and lack of attention while driving.
Don't come to fl loads of fools here
You'd better call on someone that knows you...
If everybody getting their license would have to go through the training the 18-wheelers driver's go through they might be less accidents.
Not true look at Swift and our local shaw dump truck company there fucking maniacs on the road. And also in this case the 18-wheeler was the cause of this accident.
Funny you should say that considering the damn semi driver is at fault.
I've been in two major accidents in my life both at the fault of a semi driver.....just saying.... We all make mistakes driving, the difference is not everyone is driving a multi ton vehicle.
@@LadyMacbeth56 you think sitting in a highway without hazard lights is partially at fault here?
@@metallicafan416 What??? The semi driver is at fault. He took out that truck. No where does it say anything about emergency being off or on. They may have been, but it was day time and that trucker wasn't paying attention.
❓so what happened 🤷🏽♀️❓
Video gave me chills
How is this possible? Pretty crazy looking!
I can't comprehend the condition of this car. omg.
If we traded automobiles for bumper cars and trains for roller coasters, these horrors would be a thing of the past.....
Damn. I always thought Splendora was the name of an artificial sweetener. Turns out it is a fire truck.
Splenda is the sweetener. Easy to get em confused
Splendora is a town in Texas. They don't make fire trucks.
No survivors from that one car.
It looks like the pickup was on the left shoulder which isn't wide enough and the big rig tried to avoid it but the Chevy was on his right side .
Quand on voit ce que la police affronte comme images traumatisantes on comprend leur sévérité sur les routes pour ceux qui contreviennent aux lois ( france )
I was wondering how the Ford ended up that way also
+Julie Johnson What do you think ford stands for : Found On Road Dead or Fix Or Repair Daily. lol
+flashy5150 look at your name 150 dumbass
@@parental.184 dude it doesn't say F150, come on man
Haven't you heard, and out of aluminum now
They need to let ppl go to scenes of accidents that drive then the roads will be safer I know nobody survived RIP to all very sad
okay how does a ford f150 get destroyed like that
Nicky DeGirolamo namoi Paige Fan Forever i am a paige namoi guy I would guess by the pieces hanging off the back of the trailer it ran over the f150.It would be interesting to know exactly what happened. Not a bit of thread on the Trailblazers tires.
ford 150 have horrible crash ratings
+bob johnson Do not think that would rate when a tractor trailer runs over you.
some of that damage also occurred when the firefighter paramedics use the jaws of life to tear the roof off to get to the victim
pretty sure that was a Toyota truck
I TRUST NO DRIVERS
I'VE NOTICE PEOPLE ARE WORSE THAN WHEN I WAS A KID.
How did this happen? People could not have survived this. This really put a knot in my stomach.
Me too Kathy
That truck crumbled like a piece of tin foil.
This is why people hate truck drivers...
The driver of the Ford was uninjured😧
Omg..i was like..how??
any updates on jail time for the truck driver?
The driver of the semi was looking,,texting,,drunk. Or driving like a madman to reach his/her destination my
What? Which was it...looking, texting, drunk, or bad driving? A whole lot of difference in these reasons for the crash... Condolences to victims and families.
das rumpelt wenn die V- Achse vom Rahmen abreist, hatte ich auch mal, mein Gegenverkehr mußte noch schnell nach links abbiegen. Mein Gegner hatte keinen Motor mehr und eine abgerissene V-Achse.
WHAT IS THAT THING IN THE ROAD ????
Half a body. The other half is in the trunk. Yuck...
It was a truck if you can believe that
I use to work all over and Texas driver are getting bad.
God bless the first responders and heavy wrecker trivets.
Meant drivers
What's the problem with this Montgomery county? Why so many BIG fatal crashes!!! In proportion, seems much higher than national rate.
Ok...so WHYY is theEdy's truck facing the wrong way?.
Jesus died for us all, and rose from the grave to defeat death, so we can have eternal life. please give your lives to him, and repent, he loves you!🙏🙏❤️
Are these all fatals? These are really-really bad.
