@Robert House Game files = somewhat that was considered to be added but was removed later. You can not consider them canon. In fact, AAAAAB is 6 letters and GLaDOS is 6 letters too, which leads to idea that it probably was GLaDOS.
If he used us just to take control of the facility, then how come when you plug him in he actually begins to lift you up before changing his mind? Also, why would he genuinely feel sorry for what he did afterwards if he didn't really consider us as a friend? He didn't turn evil by choice, he was corrupted. GLaDOS on the other hand...
Well, GLaDOS was always sarcastic, funny, and passive-aggressive. Her personality was very fitting for her, and we already know that she's an antagonist with her goal being to kill you. Plus she has a reason to feel that way, you killed her at the end of Portal. When you put her back into her body she even keeps her promise and lets you go. Wheatley started out as your friend and companion. He was goofy and seemed innocent, his stupidity just adding to his character. When he betrays you and traps GLaDOS in a potato it completely changes his character. He was still pretty funny but he tries to kill you without reason. I understand he isn't evil but when he betrays you it didn't fit his character. It wasn't bad just so unexpected it kinda stung a bit. His apology just made it sting even more.
@themashypotato - Yeah, most of them were just done using the 'zoom' function (mouse-wheel). For some of the smaller ones, I just zoomed the footage a little bit. ;)
.... WOW. That is so amazing! Makes the beautiful animation even more fascinating to watch. My eyes literally widened when I was how fantastic this all looked.
(in a call of duty match where I haven't killed some friend in 3 minutes and he killed me) me:Its been a long time how have you been? him:(aims) me:(shoots) him:(dead)
As I was answering to some guy who was saying the events of Portal 2's co-op happened before the main story, I decided to focus on what GLaDOS said during all the tests before you fight her using Wheatley, to know what exacly made her think about making test robots. And it's really interesting. We can all agree that when GLaDOS woke up, she was in a pretty bad condition, like all Aperture Science ("You know, when I woke up and saw the state of the labs, I started to wonder if there was any point to going on. I came THAT close to just giving up and letting you go."). Instead, she apparently thought "Ok, in my current state, fighting against Chell would be suicidal. Nothing is ready, it's a mess... So I can just keep Chell busy with easy tests, so she doesn't try to kill me and I don't have to be too attentive to these tests, meanwhile I renovate everything. Then I kill her and I start over with another test subject that will hopefully not be a monster." But things change when Chell reaches room 15. GLaDOS cleaned most of Aperture Science, she's at the cryostasis rooms inspection. Good opportunity to give a cruel joke about having two subjects with the same name as Chell. But as she consults the list, GLaDOS realises there aren't any alive human left and it disappoints her (Wheatley said it at the beginning and during the final fight, but could we believe him? He's a moron and he could be lying. I trust more GLaDOS's reaction. Anyway this goes with the theory that Rattman did die shortly after the comic. Also, GLaDOS doesn't know yet that there are people in old Aperture Science: she learned their position when she made ATLAS and P-Body explore old Aperture and activate several things. She probably forgot about old Aperture until Wheatley sent her there.). Anyway it means her only human is Chell. (Yes she pretended she saw humans and a deer on the surface, but she also said in an unused quote the only humans within a thousand miles was Chell. I never believed the surface thing, how could GLaDOS go to the surface?). She just couldn't get rid of Chell unless she didn't have the choice because Chell would want to kill her, and it disappoints her so much that she decides to push her joke further to calm her frustration. It's when Wheatley gave Chell a way out and they started the sabotage operation that GLaDOS thought it was over. Chell and her would fight and no matter what the issue, GLaDOS wouldn't be able to test anymore. Unless she made robots. When Wheatley was in control of Aperture and found the robots, GLaDOS said she made them when Chell was escaping, after she attempted to kill her. The fact she was busy preparing the fight and making the replacement robots made GLaDOS not pay attention to what Chell sabotaged. Oh, btw, when GLaDOS was talking about Wheatley wanting to have his testing euphoria, she said you build a resistance to this. GLaDOS is by now totally immune to it, she's just testing for science. So she's not a junkie.
I feel you could've used some more shots of Wheatley scrambling for the password while GLaDOS was reassembling, to help build more tension and all, but other than that, this is amazing. :P
I love all of the angles you used! It all works so well together. I do have a question though. How were you able to record from all of those different angles? Is there some kind of setting in the game that lets you pan around the area?
Same here, if there is ever an Aperture science and its not just some place that just called them self it, like they don't even do any thing sciencey , i would join
this just makes me think...Valve needs to team up with someone like Universal or something to make a full-length film based on portal 1 and 2...or better yet an animated cartoon series.
I only just realised that in the end of chapter nine when you fight Wheatley the reason he stupidly shoots his first bomb into the conversion gel tube is because in this scene his blue eye gets cracked down the middle by GLaDOS when she attempts to crush him and therefor he does not realise that the pipe is there in that scene. P.S if you are reading this harry please pin it so that other people who don’t know this will realise.
When Valve makes a Portal movie, Harry should be a lead animator.

You would mean CGI creator if it was a live action film.
He's already a developer of P 2.
Lalak Balazs I don't know why you think that, because he isn't... He made some music for some mods but he was never involved in anything official
@@bananacatanimations1707 Dont you mean portal 2 mods?
the wakeup scene looks like GlaDOS is a zombie waking up from being drunk
Caleb nash lol
Would be so ironic if the password was zzzzzz.
or if it was GLaDOS
AAAAAAAB.
If it was that, Weathley nad Chell have no chance

Yes lol
What if the code was G L a D O S?
Who else wants to see a conversation between a Dalek and GlaDOS?
Joseph Simpson Play the Portal level in Lego Dimensions. You'll get something pretty close.
Who's Dalek?
A Dalek, of doctor who
YAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!!!
That would be...amusing
I get that GLaDOS can be funny, but seriously, why are people having a harder time forgiving _Wheatley_ than her?

Also, why would he genuinely feel sorry for what he did afterwards if he didn't really consider us as a friend? He didn't turn evil by choice, he was corrupted. GLaDOS on the other hand...

Becuz betrayal
I've been really busy being dead.
You know after you *MURDERED ME*
But I Think We Can Put Our Differences Aside, For Science. You Monster.
I always like it when GLaDOs speaks or does her laugh. Favorite line: Oh it you, it been a long time.

@patrstarr - FRAPS for recording, Adobe After-Effects for the visual-editing and Adobe Premiere to edit it together. =)
I just recorded the game and used a bunch of effects in Adobe Premiere and After Effects to get this look. ;)

wheatly was the best charecter en anything ive ever seen i hope if there is a portal 3 he comes back as a good guy
Valve ended portal 2 too perfectly,No way they would do a 3. And the only 3rd installment confirmed is l4d3

We will go to SPACE! For Wheaty!

.... WOW. That is so amazing! Makes the beautiful animation even more fascinating to watch. My eyes literally widened when I was how fantastic this all looked.
@rocketrascal34 - Yeah, but I didn't feel it was necessary for this scene. =)
Really nice camerawork. :)
I like the way the water fell on the camera. It looked real again great job.
holy shit! this looks so realistic! wow there has to be a movie T^T you could edit it so well
Nice you did a great job!
This is simply gorgeous. Simply, simply gorgeous.
Enable the developer console in the options menu, press tilde (` next to 1) on the keyboard during game and type in cl_crosshair 0. =)
This is amazingly cool
@AdmiralOfAperture - Yeah, you press the 'Tilde' key (next to 1) and type it into the console. =)
This video is AWSOME!
Too awesome for just words!
This could be a movie!
_Lets make it happen, people!_
This... Is truly beautiful
Man, I almost wish that part in the game had some of the angles of GLaDOS's reassembly, those were really cool!
Nice job..looks great. ;D

@MyMinecraftMail - Portal 2 has zoom built-in - just use the mouse wheel. ;)
EPIC !! :3 i LOVE GLaDOS !!!!
The only problem I notice is that you're going over your camera axis for the rest it looks very sweet!
Wooowww, you made a reference to the answer of my comment! CHEERS MATE! =D
...That was f**king awesome.
Much better than the last one - still feels jumpy, but a GOOD jumpy, the right sort of jumpiness
I love all of the angles you used! It all works so well together. I do have a question though. How were you able to record from all of those different angles? Is there some kind of setting in the game that lets you pan around the area?
Portal 2 needs a cinematic scene in this part of the game!
While playing this scene and Wheatley gets destroyed: NOOOOO! WHEATLEY! D;
Re-playing the game: DIE, YOU LITTLE BITCH!!!
this is cool
I never noticed Wheatley's eye bulge at "You did WHAT?" before. Haha! Love it!
Wow, i like it, you are the best.... and GLaDOS, of course, jajaja...
I GOT THE UPLOAD NOTIFICATION
I would love you to make some scenes where you can see Chall too, like a full 3rd person movie. I would love to know how would it be.
Hire this man to make Portal: the movie
Love the splatter on the camera at 0:37.
Now they need to make Portal 2 a movie. And then a roller coaster. And then a theme park.
I was totally like ”Oh my gosh what have I done!!”
If Portal becomes a movie, you should be the animator.
Would have been cool to see Chell in some of those shots.

Am i the only one who finds at adorable when GLaDOS goes that head tilt at 1:18?
Good, good -3-
Nope
no
3 words:You are wierd
I knew that ever since i was 9. I've completely accepted it by now ^^
This is why we need a Portal movie...In 3D!
How could you record it from diferrent angles? Superb work, by the way.
he said he nocliped and flew around for the angles, and he probably edited out him flying from place to place.
J.J. Abrams, one of the directors of LOST, was talking with Valve about either a Portal or Half-Life Movie!

The first and last third will be in Orlando, while the second is in San Diego!
cool =)
It really breaks the immersion if it would work like that in the game, but its cool that someone has done some "tests".
-Count Olaf voice- Oh,I'm the monster? I'm the monster? YOU'RE the monster...
Whoa... so prettyful!
We need this in the portal movie
How did you do that?! ... I'm glad that us PS3 players get a free code for a PC/Mac version of the game, because I MUST TRY THIS ON MY MAC!
0:37 - GLaDOS, did you just vomit?
VortexumGamer NO, there was just water inside here and it just spilled, you know in the room where GLaDOS wakes up, there is mud/water everywhere.
I know, but, that was just a joke!
VortexumGamer oh, sorry!
Np
I feel bad for the camerman.
So convenient how glados can rebuild herself
I agree. It's much more dramatic if she looks at you.
this is awesome can you do some half life ones too?
@Harry101UK Thank you! I myself use a G700.
this just makes me think...Valve needs to team up with someone like Universal or something to make a full-length film based on portal 1 and 2...or better yet an animated cartoon series.
omg she sais : we both said a lot of things that you're going to regret
wait ,.both?
I'd really like to know how you got the camera movements to be so smooth, do you use a joystick or are you just really good at using a mouse?
Question: Were you one of the creators of Portal 2? Or are you just that good at animating?
Second.
Wow if you can make this i think you can make a portal 2 movie with just editing the game like you always do!
Umm....Chell is the Monster here, GLaDOS says that while crushing a poor, helpless core. (Yeah right)
this should have been portal 2's trailer
@Harry101UK Thank you. Now it's screenshot time! =D
(ps. It's an honor to get a reply from you. XD)
This is why the game would make the best movie ever!
@Harry101UK thanks harry but can i ask just one more. how did you do those really cool zoom camera movements? were they in game?
And a working turret.

WOW
and our very own cores.
I distinctly do not remember THAT many camera angles in the game...
if they made a portal movie they would probably mess it up by making chell talk
