- A short film about the last adventure I had before going into quarantine. A 24-kilometre trail run, a complete loop of Montserrat. Something I'd been dreaming of doing since I moved here to Spain - It was door to door from home and I had a great time.
Asking the question 'what will be different?' after this pandemic we're in passes.
But mainly it's footage from my final trial run before going into lockdown...

Beautifully orchestrated. This situation helps us realise that the smallest of things that we take for granted are privileges that we can be grateful for. I’m thankful that we can still go for a walk and see the sun, and that makes me happy :)

Definitely sets the standard for videos of this type. Leaves you feeling determined to go for another run........and then the sound of rain drumming down and wind howling sends you straight back to TH-cam. Monserrat is one of my favorite places in the world. I've been there twice and still feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Also that guy in the beginning doing a double take is everything!

Just had friends over for the first time after 4 months. So special and we enjoyed it a lot!
I've been taking pictures of nature and recording my run posting it on Facebook everyday just to get friends inspired instead of seeing them post negative stuff and going to war with each other. We all need to live our lives during these hard times. I'm starting to do lots of trail runnning in Reno and Tahoe almost everyday during the pandemic. I love nature and trail running now and I feel like I can participate on running marathons.

6:30 "Right now, we're living in uncertain times..." I know what you mean but... All times are uncertain. The pandemic is just another challenge for some. For others, it's actually been a blessing. Me, for example. I was stressed out driving back and forth to work daily only getting about two hours a day with my children. Because of quarantine, I now spend all day with them and I lost about 80 lbs. and have been trail running for the last few months. I lost 80 lbs. because I'm not as stressed out and I don't eat at restaurants anymore. Yes... Uncertain times... but some of us made the best of it and it's been an amazing time of change.
The first minutes I was actually listening to the background radio/TV Covid commentary...World numbers then shows how pandemic "thunderstruck" we are now. Great shoot, awesome life you have, amazing friends...morning from Sydney, Aust.

Yeah usually I live in Barcelona but I'm here in El bruc for the mean time it's at the bottom of the southern side of the mountain. One more week and I can start running again!

Been discovering the beautiful trails in Spain and Italy via YT because I once had plans to hike mont blanc.... thanks for the virtual inspiration

Hey Chase! I actually hadn't realised you moved to Spain. I'm from Portugal, when I do my yearly mountain training I always head there because Portugal has no "big" mountains. Wish you all the best and love your channel

Chase Mountains just went for the first time this last weekend and it was great! Just need to work on managing some knee pain from the descents.

i always get jealous at the trails i see people run on youtube but forget to aknowledge that here in Victoria Australia i run in the cool rainforests of the dandenong ranges and then amazing foreshore/beach trails the nex week.

I only recently have watched your videos. This is my second video. They're really healing. I was doing really well with all the change and looking at what was beautiful in the present moments. But for some reason I got really down yesterday and today. Where I live, all the hiking trails and places are closed by the government. I suppose it's that way in most areas in my country (Northeastern United States)...not sure if it's that way in other countries. I spent alot of time in the forests, even if not hiking. This video made me smile and remember. But it also had me feeling a little sad. It's been almost 2 months now that I haven't been in a natural space. It's hard. Thank you for your optimism. It's very beautiful. (p.s. hopefully you'll get some sponsorship with North Face, Dynafit....or Hellman's. Lol.)

How do you keep focus while running on a track like that? More then often I get distracted and usually this is followed by a misstep or slip.
Was planning to go to Northern Spain in July but with this situation I'm not sure this will be possible.
Its hard to do! 'm trying to teach myself to keep my eye level up, I try and keep my eyes on the horizon but use my peripheral vision to see obstacles on the trail

what a lovely piece. Great camera work. One question. What Dynafit model shoe are you wearing? I'm a big fan of their skimo gear but have been pretty disappointed in how the shoes fit me (I have a pretty average/narrow foot). Thanks!

I still can't stop wonder how long it takes for your running shoes to break apart ( i mean untill a large piece of rubber falls away from the sole), when running on stony trail?

Montjuïc has some nice trails, nothing like Montserrat obviously but it's better than nothing. Backside of Tibidabo is great too. If you wanted to you could take the train to Montserrat and do a similar route!
Chase Mountains I just did Baixador del Vallvidrera to Tibidabo this morning and I’m sitting under the church with a beer as I write this! 🌞
