@@novustalks7525 Wonderful 101 had the three of them as bonus characters. I can't remember the reason Bayonetta helped. But Rodin wanted to test his new hammer and Jeanne was implied to have not wanted to reveal how much she wanted to save the world as her super hero alter ego

Fun Fact: Kamiya did not have the original game with Japanese voice acting (only subtitles) because he has a tendency to only use a language that matches the characters. After this anime, he was impressed by the Japanese voice acting from the movie and when Bayonetta 2 came along, he allowed them to make a dub. Nintendo would also fund a Japanese dub of the first game to be added to the Wii U version, which they also allowed not only on the Switch version, but also the PC and PS4 versions.
It's crazy how so many fans swear the original dub was Japanese, let alone say it's the preferable one. It's a subjective thing but to me it comes off as a compulsary "English dub always bad" mentality. If there ever was a media franchise from Japan that is the exception in terms of the English performance being better, it's this one. Funnily enough, I'm still making the "original dub is better" argument.

And yup, Nintendo get Royalties for the Japanese dub when they released the first game on PC/Xbox One/PS4.
Not only do Jeanne and Cereza have 'day jobs' but after Bayo 1 they started living together :D there's official artwork of Cereza waking up a grumpy Jeanne who is apparently absolutely not a morning person when Cereza in contrast usually rises super early :D anf does all kinds of skin care before going to bed, while Jeanne just crashes facedown on like the couch just as she is to basically pass out after doing her 'super hero' gig xD
Jeanne is not only a high school teacher (of history, make sense since she was alive for the last 600 years) she's also a super hero by night called Cutie J, she fights crime to protect her student and her city with her blade Bloody Moon
In the book "The Eyes of Bayonetta" there are some illustrations with "lore": Jeanne is a History teacher in high school (teaching about the Witch Hunts), all the "girls" Luka named were his pets (3 cats and a puppy), Rodin has a little obsession with penguins..., Etc.

The "scripture" that Bayonetta is reading from at the beginning is actually from Dante's inferno when Dante and Virgil are crossing the River Styx and The boatman is reciting his poem to them. "Abandoned all hope you enter here". Nice little touch
I still love how in Bayonetta 1 one of the executions is to pull out a chain saw to cut an enemy in half and you get to keep the chainsaw for a bit as a temporary weapon. And one of Rodin's shop quotes is something along the lines of "I don't care how much you ask, I am not attaching chainsaws to your arms and legs."
I actually thought that was a Madworld reference, since I think Platinum worked on that as well. I didn't know you could actually use a chainsaw in game, so this makes a lot more sense.
this!!! rodin's line is kind of ironic too bc (spoilers!) he ends up making chainsaw weapons in bayo2
but in Bayonetta 2 she has chainsaws on her arms and legs
@@Alexrabieta Yes, and I was trying to avoid mentioning that. I have no clue if Deebee would've gone back for them and I felt like the chainsaws were more exciting when you don't see them coming.

They did that in the game as well as you could see alongside Bayonetta's black hair there was also white hair summoning Sheba.

The theme song for this movie, Night, I Stand is one of my favorite tracks. I’d say it’s up there with Scent of Love from the slot machine game for me. Totally different vibe though even when compared to other Bayonetta tracks.
The bass in "Night I Stand" absolutely DRIVES the song so well. I used to not feel so attached to that song, but upon repeated listening I found that it just slaps. Point blank. "Scent of Love" also eats. The Dual Mix for "Red and Black" also made the lyrical version grow on me!

The Movie Was SOOOO GOOD. I remember I watched it for the First time in 2019 and it was Awesome! I actually really like how it sped up the story a lot and had that epic boss fight at the end!! The One of a Kind theme fits perfectly with it ♥️
Funny thing, I was at comiket where the Japanese studio had debuted their first ads for this movie and the lead designer for this film walked up to me when she saw me with the official booth merch to tell me her role in the production. Absolutely lovely memory and for once, I was glad to stick out as a foreigner so she understood how far I came to be excited by something she was part of. I hope Ms. Yokoyama is well 🙏
I'm pretty sure bloody fates Bayonetta Is a timeline variant with a different Bayonetta since some things don't perfectly line up
Trish is actually the name of one of Luka’s three cats. Ammy being his white puppy which is a nice Ōkami reference. Enzo might know DMC Trish though since he plays strip poker with Dante on occasion.
It wasn't strip poker. They were betting all of their possessions and eventually Dante had nothing left to bet but the clothes on his back

To me is just an adaptation, making this look cinematic with the usual anime budget, because making it 100% game accurate is just too much (also kind of redundant)

The anime is indeed very nice, naked scenes and all and love some of the small lore stuff as well, even more now that i discovered i can watch it on TH-cam, seems i need to try looking up alot more old anime here.

After the lie told by Hellena Taylor it's hard to listen to her voice, not that I don't love her voice but it just feels weird since the controversy is so fresh, being lied to and being so selfish about the franchise is just so difficult to get over right now, I'll still be buying bayanetta 3 but I'll replay the series in Japanese.

Honestly, while it's flashier in some parts, I dislike how the anime handled Jeanne. She's still standoffish towards Bayonetta even after she's no longer brainwashed. In truth, Jeanne was the only Umbra who accepted Bayonetta in spite of her mixed blood.
As someone who'd LOVE to see you do a full Lets Play of the Devil May Cry series as you've mentioned doing in another video - it would definitely be interesting to me if you DON'T skip the black sheep of the series: DMC 2 and DmC.

My interpretation is that was more of "adapting the game" into a cinematic format, more than a different timeline, since the bayoverse wasn't really a thing when this movie came out, lol
I do appreciate the story makes more sense now that is in actual cronological order, tho xD And the gameplay references, like the in-game weapons and soundtrack choices. Also Bayonetta in a nightgown, which I don't understand why it was not included as an unlockable outfit or something (?) because is super cute!
The final fight lol kinda strange they used Joy's torture attack in Jubileus, but I guess they went "both look similar enough, let's use it in gigantic size lol" which I'm all for it, Jubileus deserved some punishment 😂

There's hella hints that Jeanne is also Joan of Arc (Jeanne D'Arc). Joan is the anglicized version of Jeanne, D'Arc is the name of her Bayo 1 outfit, and what was Joan of Arc burned for? Thats right HERESY AND DEMONIC VISIONS. So yeah, Joan of Arc survived, became a witch princess, then a history teacher/part-time vigilante. They even have the same birth year.
The way they took historical women and said they were Umbra witches across the world was such a sexy detail.

I remember when I was playing Bayonetta 2 I sent out a message on the social platform at the time (which can't be seen anymore because Wii U discontinued it) thought it was just at the beginning of the game that I decided to post how much Bayonetta was enjoying things a bit too much, someone decided to message me and mentioned from this anime that she doesn't like demons cause its gets her and I quote "hot and bothered"..... I never replied back because first off I couldn't stop laughing and secondly it sounded so childish anyways XD

I honestly don't remember most of this. What I do remember is being disappointed that it was just a retelling of the game so I probably just zoned-out. I'd probably actually be able to enjoy it more now that I know what it was. I might go back and watch it soon.

Did you noticed that Bayonetta's outfit has little different details like the earrings being moons instead of cats like the game the missing chains detail one time the witch with no memory outfit was a dress instead of a jumpsuit Bayonetta 3 is going to have multiple Bayonetta's from different dimensions . I'm so freaking excited I cant wait even with all he drama that happened but that's between them not me so I'm still going to enjoy Bayonetta 3 .

I have a suggestion for a game to play it's a JRPG called Ni No Kuni Wrath Of The White Witch it's an old game on the PS3 PS4 Xbox One PC and Nintendo Switch it's one of my favourite games
