Ayyy so Ken's question about Bayonetta's fists and stuff - Bayonetta (and other Umbra Witches, but her and Jeanne, the blonde, are believed to be the last living) use their hair as a medium to channel their magic through, and manipulate it to summon the various demons they've made pacts with - such as Gammorah, the dragon. Chiefly, Bayonetta's patron demoness is Madame Butterfly, one of the rulers of Inferno. That's where the giant fists come in - they are magical manifestations (called Wicket Weaves) of Madame Butterfly she uses to punish her foes.

Yes, that actually was a Princess Peach outfit for Bayonetta. Bayonetta 2 & 3 have been exclusively developed for Nintendo products, so Platinum included some fun outfits that actually change elements of gameplay pretty significantly.
* In addition to Peach, there's also a Daisy outfit that both turn Bayonetta's giant hands and feet during summon attacks from Madama Butterfly to Bowser. She also gets to wear a tiny Mario or Luigi plush depending on the skin and all in-game currency is changed to coins from Mario.
* There's an outfit for Link from the Legend of Zelda that turns one of Bayo's weapons into the Master Sword, and all in-game currency into rupees. A ton of old Zelda sound effects also replace the normal ones. Bayo also gets to carry a Hylian Shield at all times which gives her the ability to parry.
* There's an outfit of Samus from the Metroid series where Bayonetta's normal gun attacks are replaced with Samus's arm cannon which can unleash a powerful charge shot. While sprinting Bayonetta will use Samus's morphball form and even drops bombs when jumping. If she double jumps she'll use Samus's Screw Attack in the air, damaging enemies around her, and the sound effects even change between those from the older game and the Prime games depending on what character you're playing as.
* Finally there's a Starfox themed outfit based off the main character, Fox McCloud. Bayonetta's guns are turned into mini-arwings and act and sound like the original arwings from the N64 (or SNES depending on character) version of the game. All of the four members of team Starfox also appear as little plushes on one of Bayo's guns. There's also a level where you pilot a jet, and while wearing this outfit the jet is replaced by an arwing which once again behaves exactly like it does in the original games.
Finally there's a weapon which is literally just a Chain Chomp from the Mario series, which Bayo keeps shackled to her ankle. It moves around on it's own and will even attack without being told if it's near enemies.
The funny thing was NINTENDO told them to "Make the outfits sexier!"

Just a little addition, while wearing the Fox-Costume her punches also turn from the usual blue to green.
Fun fact: Bayonetta uses hair for her summons. The reason her clothes seem to disappear is her outfit is actually made out of her hair, a smart choice as it allows her to use more of it for demonic moves.
Bayonetta is, unironically, the best video game representation for actual witch beliefs. She uses hair in her spells, alligned with demons, uses alchemy (how she makes healing items), Has a unique language (Enochian, beleived to be gained by angels), and a few more details. Plus, she manages to be stupidly hot while also being stupidly fancy and i love how stupidly awesome it is!

Yay more Bayo woohoo! I’m so glad you guys were able to find an entirely spoiler free video, seeing as all these fights and summons are part of the main story. This video did a really good job of removing dialogue/skipping sections in order to remain spoiler free. As well as the fact it didn’t show anything from the end of the game, which is a nice touch.
Oh and to comment on the Peach outfit, yes that is supposed to be Princess Peach with Bowser’s fists. Bayo has a couple Nintendo inspired looks including Peach, Daisy, Link, Samus, and Fox.

12:01 that’s why I love bayonetta. As much as I love brilliantly told stories like breaking bad and attack on titan (which you should totally watch), sometimes there’s nothing better than just turning your brain off and looking at the pretty men and women with the big laser powers.
The story, lore, and characters in Bayonetta are pretty damn good to me.

bayonetta can summon demons using her hair and the chant she uses to summon them is called Enochian which is a real life language created in the 16th century by a man named John Dee. he claimed it was the language that angels speak.

I really hope you do more Bayonetta in the future. This video has not even shown everything that the second game has to offer, not to mention everything in the first game, so there is plenty of awesome stuff left.
The best thing would obviously a complete cutscene reaction for both games, if you're interested enough.
If that doesn't happen, I would still recommend reacting to all enemy introductions and all torture attacks for Bayonetta 1 and 2.

Fun fact : These aren't even all the interactions in this game. There is one where the Big Demon Lady (Madama Butterfly) headbutts a fucking METEOR falling on her.
I didn’t notice that Bayonetta’s white dress was so similar to Lady Dimitrescu’s until you mentioned it. She totally copied it from Bayonetta! 😂
Thank you, you guys noticed as well. If Dante and Bayonetta ever actually meet, they'd probably just bang. Their personalities suit eachother. That's why I didn't like the Death Battle as they would only spar but never kill for no reason, and in case of their personalities get along.
Fun fact: The creator of Bayonetta and DMC said that if Bayo and Dante were to fight, Bayonetta would win.

For example, thsir speed statisitics to the rain scene, but ignkring thag Baynetta dodged a laser from aprox 30 feet away. If they factored that, shes suddenly a few leagues past the speed of light.
They did it with Yang va Tifa and Link vs Cloud as well. At least with Superman vs Goku, it wouldnt have changed tbe results.

I love the fact you have seen the Bayo 2 finishers and climaxes, might give bayo 1 finishers a try? There's more demons there that aren't seen in Bayo 2(except Gommorah and Malphas a big bird, which were the wings of Bayo when Jeanne's soul got sent to Inferno)

Refreshing to see a good player. They earned a few Pure Platinums. A rating you only get from completing a stage quickly without taking any damage.
Besides the different outfits each game also has a different color associated with Bayonetta. First game is red while the third game is purple. I am sure you can guess the color for this game by the clothing accessories, attack streaks and gun color.

Bayonetta is a witch and the game uses lores surrounding witches and one of the lores is that in witchcraft witches used their hair as conduits.So Bayonetta here is using her hair as a medium to summon the demons that she made a contract with.They manifest themselves using her hair.She also uses her hair to make her own outfit.The reason why people love the game series is because of the amount of lores,the combat system and the intriguing story of the game.
Its so funny cuzz the volleyball one at the end. On bayonetta 1 the last shot is actually missed. And when the ball drops all ha ds just start punching at the same time. Its just great 😆
So it’s funny how you mentioned Princess Peach because that is actually an unlockable outfit for her using amiibo. It also turns Madama Butterfly’s hands into Bowsers. She has quite a few Nintendo costumes in the second game.

The creature who got out of the hair ensnare is called Gomorrah, the one Bayonetta uses to fight it is called Madama Butterfly, the one she finishes him with is Labolas, her main demon in 2.
In this game, some infernals have decided to side with Alraune and betray the witches, just like some angels abandon the sages and start working for Loptr, this causes both Bayonetta and Father Balder to have to fight their former summons.

Not sure if anyone had mentioned, but whenever she summons a demon Bayonetta says a word/phrase. These words are in a real-world language called Enochian that was "supposedly" given to its creators by angels back in the late 16th century. It's used a lot in fiction for angelic language instead of Latin. The one you thought was "art deco" was Argedco, which just mean "invoke."
I wonder if there's an equivalent collection for The Wonderful 101. It ends on one of the most ridiculous and amazing QTEs ever.
Fun Fact, the summons used by the guy in white are three of the bosses from the first Bayonetta game.

Bayonetta and dante are believed to share a universe. Bayonetta consistely summons demons that dabte fights in his own games.
They also have some mutual contacts.
Hopefully they will share a game or movie one day. I don't think they would be interested in each other romantically like some Bayonetta already has a lover.
There are actually some pretty big differences between their worlds. Though they're probably alternate universes of the same worlds rather than just the same.

For instance Avavago means Thunders. This is what she says when she summons the dragon that broke her control. Teloc vovim means fallen one. She says this when she summons the giant centipede.
There are also real world stories of witches using their hair to work their magick, so that’s why she uses her hair as a conduit for her summonings in here.

The “lion” is named Labolas. A pet dog who wandered into Inferno and became a manticore of sorts.
The “squid” is named Hydra. A woman who was likened to a belly dancer who was slain and reincarnated as a Hydra-like demon.
The giant woman is actually kinda spot-on. Her name is Madama Butterfly. Bayonetta’s sponsor. A Demoness who gives Bayonetta her powers, and who’s limbs you see being summoned for punches and kicks. Ironically, she is also voiced by Bayonetta’s VA. so technically, she is a demonic counterpart to Bayonetta. Both are as dangerous and brutal as they are beautiful.
This is a good idea you should do this for death battles from now on so you know somethings going in

A bit late to the party and while I don't know if anybody has mentioned it, I will anyway. While it might sound like gibberish, the words that Bayonetta and the Masked White Guy say when summoning creatures are a genuine real world language.
It is known as Enochian or Angelical, a language written and studied by 16th Century Mathematician, Astronomer, and Occultist John Dee who was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth 1 and his colleague, Edward Kelley, who was a self proclaimed spirit medium that dabbled in the occult and alchemy, who even claimed to know how to metal into gold, which is one of the biggest goals of alchemy.
The language is stated to be the one spoken by the Angels of Heaven and named after Enoch, great grandfather of Noah and the last mortal man believed to have been able to speak the language of the Angels in Christian Mythology. They can be translated into actual English words, for example
. When summoning Gomorrah, the giant dragon that breaks free, Bayonetta says "Avavago!" which means "Thunders!"
. When summoning Labolas, the giant beast she uses to kill the dragon, she yells out "Argedco!" which means "Invoke!"
. When the White Masked Guy pulls out the father's and summons the two headed dragon, he yells out "Ziracah!" which means "Aquarius"
The enemies also speak the language as well and have translatable voice lines too. Just a really cool detail that not many casual watchers would probably know.

The next time you guys think about doing anything for Warhammer, I would recommend the Bodvarr Ribspreader/Chaos Warriors cinematics by Michele Tosoni. They're neat little videos that shows the characters off a bit

Yep. The reason for that is Bayonetta was beginning to go into development hell when Nintendo saved them and funded them. We wouldnt have a Bayonetta 2 nor 3 without them

Nice reaction! Is there any chance there will be a reaction to Bayonetta 1 and 2 cutscenes? I know last time you said there were issues with Sega regarding the first trailers however I’m pretty sure the game cutscenes itself should be fine from what I’ve seen from other creators. If that isn’t possible then at least react to the torture attack from both of the games, those are some jaw dropping/mind boggling attacks you wouldn’t want to miss watching, keep up the good work, your reactions are definitely one’s worth listening and watching to!!

From what I understand, she's technically naked at most times as he clothing is made by her hair.
Also the beast she summons is her hair? So when she sais that her hair is a monster, she means it more literally than most.
But yes, she and the game was designed to be hyper sexual and stylistic. But at least she manages to stay more classy than seedy.
I think she's really cool. I'm happy video game characters are allowed to be more human nowadays and Bayonetta was one of the characters pioneering this.
Without characters like her, we most likely wouldn't have modern, more realistic characters with sexualities like Geralt, or the main character / Johnny Silverhand of Cyberpunk.
We can finally have sex and sexuality in games without it being porn, or gratuitous. Mark of a slowly maturing medium, which is still in its infancy like movies in the early 20th century.

I do not think Bayonetta and Dante would get together at all I think you would have to watch some cutscenes with Bayonetta like you did with Dante to really get a grasp of her personality. I honestly do not think she would even be impressed with Dante just think he is trying to hard.
