  • This small Table is 15" x 15" x 22" and was made from a few old Pallet boards, some left over Tongue and Grove, and a bit of 2x4 re-sawn for the legs. The top is finished to 240 Grit and then 1 coat of Walnut Stain was applied. 3 coats of Varnish with sanding in-between with 240 grit between each coat.
    I'm really happy with the results, the top looks awesome up close! Hope you enjoyed the video, don't forget to like and Subscribe!

    This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

    Nice job👍🏻. Thanks for sharing. I like the simplicity of the tool kit and the timber. A small tip for viewers, if you use dowels or wooden plugs then if you align the grain of the dowel with the main piece you can make them almost disappear. 🍻

    Thank you for this video. Your style is similar to Steve Ramsey one of my favorite woodworkers. I love your tips and tricks to getting things straight and lined up! The table is nice too :).

    I arrived here looking to build a side table which is great, thank you for sharing. However, I would love to see a video describing your miter saw set up and how you put it together. I have struggled to get crosscuts the same length.

      sgcarson21 hi there. That mitre saw station has gone now, I invested in a better saw! The set up was Easy enough though. I added a wooden fence to the existing metal one, recessed the screw heads and screwed it into place. Adding a stop block with a clamp gave me repeatable cuts. Be gentle so as not to move the bloke, and you are good to go😀

    Why are you using the saw with no knife guide.

    • @andy.elliott.foreverpens
      @andy.elliott.foreverpens  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My old saw had a guide, but it didn't line up properly. I've since replaced the saw and the knife is permanently attached!!!

    Why does he wait for the chop saw to stop before lifting the blade?

    • @andy.elliott.foreverpens
      @andy.elliott.foreverpens  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because I had a stop block set up on the left side of the blade. When you use a stop block, the péice being cut is trapped between the spinning blade and the stop block. The action of lifting the saw can sometimes cause the blade to grab the wood. Much safer to wait for the blade to stop first.
