I think this could be said about The Smiths in general, but Morrissey is a sensitive guy who lives onstage, the stage might be the only place where he can truly express himself.
I was at this gig and remember this so well. I was in the crush right in front of Andy Rourke. Couldn't hear for days afterwards. Thanks for posting this.
@PHARRAOH I have no idea who "fred" is or what you are talking about. I was commenting on your use of the word "queer" in a derogatory manner. I understand your point that this is a great video and one of the all time best bands ever but I don't understand why you would use a word that means hate and prejudice. Equivocating everything thats wrong in this world with being gay is just wrong. You are only propagating the stigma. How do you NOT see that?? I'm sorry I don't get it.
Johnny always makes sure everyone is okay. Check out the eye contact he makes with every person during a song. When the fans hang on Morrissey for too long, Johnny is always making sure Morrissey is okay. In the studio or on stage, Johnny was there for everyone.
Thank you so much for posting this. As I became a fan of The Smiths way after they were around. This makes me wish I was there so much. Moz and The Smiths were brill.
Morrisey, genius, prophet, saint.
was there. amazing
'You've missed the last bus...haha!'
Morrissey at his best
Just watching Mozza captivates me in a way I can't describe or rationalise, theres just something about him, like a living breathing work of art
