    Winter/rain has been keeping me indoors the past month, so I figured its time to get an indoor trainer. But not just any indoor trainer! I wanted to make one from scratch using rough sawn cedar wood, logs from a dead cedar tree and nuts and bolts that I had laying around. This was such a fun build. I loved getting to design this thing from the ground up and having it work so flawlessly.

    • @chrislukes9037
      @chrislukes9037 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems like most of the actual metal hardware is stuff you *would* get from the hardware store (and probably the webbing for the belt, too). Maybe not some small hardware stores, but any home depot-type store should have smooth wooden dowels that could replace the tree trunks for the rollers (as long as they carry them in a big enough diameter -- I have definitely bought narrower ones for other stuff) -- and the frame could just be standard framing lumber (2x4s or 2x6s).
      I'm actually curious what type of bearings he used, and where he found those -- @Backyard Trail Builds ?
