i love it how the song is about a tram in kyiv...
I’m from America, and this reminds me of the comic children’s poems that my mom, who was a Ukrainian immigrant (now she’s a US citizen), used to read to me when I was little! Now, whenever I hear this song, since childhood, I work on my drawings and storylines for my animated sitcoms that I am going to make (Watch out! They do include crude jokes!)
I would love to see your works
"All hail the Kyiv Tram" they proclaimed in unison
What have I just heard? You can know everything about your own capital, and still Kyiv will be able to surprise you.
Is it just me or does the singer have a Ukrainian accent to his Yiddish? I know there was a distinctive Ukrainian dialect of Yiddish, but this just sounds like a Ukrainian accent as in related to the Ukrainian language. Not as a critique, this is better than Yiddish music ive heard in the states.
I speak okay Ukrainian but no Yiddish, but this sounds pretty different to Yiddish I've heard spoken by older folks in America.
The singer is from Chernivtsi.
@@ptrknvk thanks for info!
100% kosherno
Нет больше Киевского трамвая. Почти все депо разрушены, половина состава - рухлядь 70х годов, да и киевлян в Киеве почти не осталось: преимущественно Куяны из окрестных сёл.
I LOVE TRAMVAJ
I LOVE TRAMVAJ
It's amazing that you have found all of these songs ngl.
My thoughts exactly, where is he getting these??? I had no idea so much yiddish music existed and digitized
I have soooo much more to post but usually I can't find lyrics anywhere or it's too undecipherable due to the bad quality. I have at least one song I had kept on my laptop since last year for its time to eventually come.
@@deucedwayne That's incredible. You could possibly ask someone on "Lyric Translate" for help, but I think you would need to send them an unlisted TH-cam link.
@@deucedwayne That's amazing! Where do you even find them? Maybe you could send ask someone on _Lyric Translate_ for help using an unlisted link.
@deucedwayne could you make a playlist for the songs that are too underciphable? I'm interested to see those too
absolute banger

These songs are genius. This one in specific, I had a good laugh. Amazing. Thank you so much for these uploads.
when was this song made?
I first heard it in late 80s. Yan Tabachnik band.
Whats the song about? I tried searching for it but i only found a website with a different version of the song.
Comical description of the Kyiv tramvay, including its passengers and development.
@@deucedwaynethat was a quick response, but it seems like ive got my answer already
*ukrainian but great video anyway!
No, it's russian, go learn instead of showing your ignorance
The words are Russian not Ukrainian
@ShmuelPewsner many Jews that used to be in Ukraine during the Soviet times usually spoke Russian, even if they resided in Ukrainian.
@@Zion_48 I am well aware, but the song is still in Russian
@@ShmuelPewsnerthe words are Yiddish
