It's been years and I'm still not over that Sookie never gave real Eric a chance. Maybe it wouldn't work out, but at least she could try. Seriously, she dated Warlow and Alcide, but not Eric? And she forgave Bill so many times.

100% agree, but is almost always like that. The book version generally is always better with some exceptions. Still, at least the tv series is not too bad.

I'll never understand why the writers decided to deviate from the books after season 3. There was so much excellent source material to draw from. Book 4 is my favorite of the whole series and I loved Sookie and Eric's relationship/marriage. Rereading the part where Eric tells Sookie, "I remember everything," and her "oh hell," replonse, always makes me laugh.
I hated that they didn't end up together. The Sam thing came out of nowhere, but I could live with it, because I liked him and it was still better than how True Blood ended.

I hated this, God Sookie can be so stupid sometimes. Why did she pick dreary slimy Bill over Eric again and again!? Eric had proven to be much more pure of heart. I wished the show would've explored her romantic relationship with Eric further when he did have his memory back.
