I liked the citrine one you showed. Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
I know a creek in Indiana that’s full of those. Nice video!
Thanks 👍
I know there are several limestone formations that are responsible for the plethora of geodes here and I think southern Indiana may share parts of the same formations but I'm not for sure.
Have you cracked any open?
@@KentuckyCrystals I did open a bunch. They were all different. Some had clear geometric crystals, some had opaque white or brown globular crystals. It was always a surprise.
Indeed, they are always a surprise!
if you fill a pair of tube socks with sand and tie off the top and wrap them around to base of the rock, you can hold the rocks a little steadier and put a piece of hard foam rubber under the rock it will be easier to crack
Thanks for the suggestion.
i love this video, so satisfying
Im so glad you liked it!
I wonder what it would look like if you use some sort of rust remover❤
That's a good idea.
I'll see if I can find something and make another video with the end results. Do you have a recommendation?
good job sir
Thank you ... but, I'm a woman.
Nice, lost mine few years ago to an exgf, lol! No joint custody wanted, whew!
Had you already broken it open? if so, why didn't you split it?
Надо было подождать ещё пару миллионов лет увидел бы красивые кристаллы! Поспешил разрубить наверное руки некуда применить!
I think the anticipation of what may be inside and the experience of opening them makes the potential disappointment worth while.
How long does it take????😂
It depends on the geode. Some are harder than others. On average a couple minutes, but at the extremes a few seconds on the short end and 10 minutes on the long end.
Do you really know,I mean, do you even have a clue as to what you have there.
I don't understand your question.
Are you referring to the mineral inside of the geode?
Was meinst du denn? What do you think he's got there?
You need some decent tools and support to do this more efficiently. Ask a stonemason for advice .
Thanks for the suggestion, but I enjoy craking them this way.
