Now imagine this being played in a ground forces version of AC04's "Emancipation". I can imagine the Erusean ground forces in San Salvacion cursing at both the ISAF air and ground forces, especially this line I made: >

No, DFM was retarded. It put in a gimmicky mechanic that made the final boss and the multiplayer and absolute nightmare to play. it had good game modes, but lacking any traditional ace combat feel the game felt like a mess more like hawks than it ever did ace combat.
@@Destarn I don't it completely defeats teh purpose of what the main protagonist is supposed to be. It's supposed to be you, and this just makes it feel like it's happening to someone else than to the player.
@@thatbeetus1912 no not really. "A protagonist is a character who pushes a story forward." I can't imagine a mute protagonist in mass effect games, or all other games I've played. It works in AC as the story is kept simple enough to not need the protagonist to voice their opinions in any way. And that's the style the devs set up with the first game. That's why it "suits" the game now.
It isn't a bad solo but it does seem very out of place. A lighter tone (Or whatever the proper term is, I'm no musician.) like in Magic Spear 1 would be better.

Ace combat has had some of the best soundtracks I have ever heard in my life. This game might be my favorite.

Most underrated AC game ever (although I do agree the DFM is quirky, but it was a good concept. Story is great, too)
