It's been a long time coming and I know it's taken us a while...but we're hyped to announce Plexus v2 is here!! If you're on a custom ROM with MicroG or no compatibility layer at all, contribute data so other people can know what apps work when they migrate to custom ROMs!
    Get the app: github.com/techlore/Plexus-app?tab=readme-ov-file#download
    Plexus Liberapay: liberapay.com/Plexus/

@John-Smith02 protonDB(data base) is a website that users use to report the playable status of steam games on linux/SteamOS

@@John-Smith02 I assume it means Database

@@John-Smith02 It's a database over the Linux compatibility of Steam games where they're rated based on either their native port or their compatibility with Valve's distribution of Wine, called Proton, used to run programs compiled for Windows on non-Windows systems.

I think having it available through the Play store would be extremely beneficial. If you're considering a custom ROM, being able to see app compatibility with as little friction as possible could be the difference between some people making the jump versus staying on their preinstalled OS. Plus, having it available through open source Play store front ends like Aurora would be really convenient.

Thank you so very much! I really appreciate this!
Pretty much an essential step in planning is made so much easier!
Finding apps that work without Google Play Services, or free from unaceptable tracking is something of a challange.
(I´m making an effort to avoid all Google - services, framework etc. on my primary profile).
I would really appreciate the apps information on a webpage, if that would not hurt the creators in any way.
I don´t really want or need this this kind of app on my mobile on a daily basis.
    Great work!

Sat watching this on Galaxy A71 running UN1CA ROM with Magisk root. Banking app doesn't work but Google Pay does. I am running Google apps. You're probably already aware but Play Integrity Fix helps hide root from the OS, but I know this video is more for a de-Googled phone. TH-cam Revanced too. Refuse to pay for premium.

Does play integrity fix get Google Pay working on other roms?

I'm using the Samsung A71 with Lineage OS 21 and whenever I open the app it crashes, I used the website for my purposes but it's still kinda odd how it just crashes

It seems that the language of the app is automatically set to the language of the OS with no option to change it manually. The German translation has, let's say, some room for improvement. How can I contribute to this? I wasn't able to find the relevant files on GitHub.

It's kinda useless for me, because I only get the error "Device should be de-googled or have migroG to submit rating." I have a rooted Pixel 6 with no Google account... Still some apps don't work because of that. I would be happy to report that.

I've yet to encounter an app that doesn't work with grapheneOS

    • @IshmaamKhan

I've heard that banking apps don't work well. Do you use sandboxed Google Play Services with GrapheneOS?
I'm currently using an iPhone and had planned on switching to GrapheneOS. But I'm not so sure now, with all the Play Integrity crap. I don't want to end up with a potentially unusable device.

    • @mikes3540
      @mikes3540 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nice that GrapheneOS is able to run Sandboxed Google everything.
More of a challange to find apps that will work without Google Play Services, or Framework.

leaving text based feedback is helpful but only for people, that actually understand that language. Relying on checkboxes that can be translated by the app developers is better for accessibility.
I personally do not use proprietary apps, so I won't be contributing, however this is still a cool project, keep up the good work.

Actually you should still contribute open source apps, not all of them have the same compatibility! Plexus supports all apps, including ones from F-Droid
