Shit , I can't afford a hobby box and a tin being the same price as last year's hobby box is pure greed by upper deck. I haven't been able to afford to rip anything in months..... Thanks for throwing up vids so I can live vicariously through you lol.
UD does not directly set the prices for the retailers. It's the middle-men (the wholesale buyers) that we can mostly thank for this. A lot of accolades go to a certain $1MIL bounty offering supplier in the USA but most are unaware that they are also largely responsible for setting the market price at US$299/hobby box...Series 2 was initially offered at the exact same price as Series 1, yet it's a select few (thanks UD) that get the opportunity sell the new products on release day. In Canada there are really only 2 wholesalers that get the majority of the UD hobby products (Universal & Grosnor).
Your 100% correct man. Hopefully these idiot distributors are smart enough to realize that next year nobody is spending more than $130 per box of flagship or $230 for SPA. But something tells me they aren't. Not good. Those assholes are even holding back product and raising prices to the LCS. If this was baby formula there would be a federal investigation. Repeat of early 90s here we come sadly.
Fyi, walmart prices and tins are a fraction of everywhere else. Ive had several tins at $85 (cheaper instore than online walmart)

Tin Prices seem to be all over the place. They were $129 per at a local shop here in St. John's, but I see them online up to $175. Grats on the Dazzler!

I have one of these coming next week...I'm not getting my hops up....but sure glad I pre-ordered last October when they were half the price they are now...kicking myself for not pre-ordering a hobby box at the time.
It's a great product to rip or just sit on too but yeah, the price puts it out of reach for the most fun.

They were $89CAD at Walmart yesterday.

@@vric Jesus ok because I did see the blasters in stock but wanted to wait for tins. I'm going again this weekend to see if they have. I know I am not buying any from hobby shops. I only got two tins from them but when they were 75$ each.

5:11 I appreciate that you're moving the "rear" base cards to the front of the pack, however.... Nobody is interested in seeing base. Go through the first 3 or 4, view the hits, and move on. Just my 2 cents :)
