Just playing the waiting game for any of these Bedard cards and I'm praying that Extended doesn't get hit too hard with the Bedard tax but I don't have a good feeling about that.

Unfortunately I’m sure it will, maybe sliiiightly less if there are fewer total Bedard hits in the product. Either way I’ll be trying to get my hands on a box as his canvas will be a big chase for me for a number of reasons (hoping the photo chosen is a beauty)

@@budvibes3367technically UD did only price hike about a 5% increase to distributors (so I’ve read) - the price hike has happened for a number a reason, not least of all consumer demand. Been wondering about an Easter egg myself. With series one it was announced ahead of time, no? Wouldn’t mind that yg of him playing roller 😉

What grade do you have on that Luke Hughes? I sent one in that looked cherry and received an 8:( I am considering cracking it and resubmitting.
It’s a 9. Didn’t grade it myself, got it in an auction locally for a very reasonable price

I’ve seen numerous people who’ve pulled a Waltteri Merela Young Guns card also pull a Bedard in the same paired hobby box. I’m hoping people figure out the players he’s paired with soon, (even though you don’t really know until you pull him) just so you can experience a slight amount excitement before the big moment.

Lets be honest....the jacked up prices are from the resellers. By direct from upper deck to get honest pricing. But also keep in mind that Upper Deck has been practising shrinkflation over the last few years.
Correct, UD doesn’t set these prices. Should check the article I linked in my S2 hobby box break. Shrinkflation?
@@jean-luc-bedard Shrinkflation is the term when the companies start giving less for the same amount of money. For example...blasters used to have 8 packs of 8 cards..last year a blaster had 5 packs of 8. Last year a hobby box had 24 packs of 8 cards...192 cards. This year...same price for a hobby box but only 144 cards...shrinkflation.

whether they have value doesn't really have anything to do with upper deck, and it's something that is very fickle anyway. "Value to me" is what is important in the case of s2, not what someone will pay, as I am collecting it - and I think a lot of the s2 inserts are great, an improvement over s1 for sure@@scruffybearbreaks8774

I'm in Scotland and it's the same story here. I have been scrounging what I can from local shops to avoid the shipping. Basically just have to train myself to get excited about what I have access to!

@@alexanderstevens145 Do it! I took Jean-luc's advice and filmed my first breaks and I think it adds a really interesting element of excitement to opening your boxes. No one's ever going to see it, lol, but that's not the point. It's fun to create it! I just filmed with my phone too, it's all you need.
