I just watched From the Bench open his first box and the young guns in your first box were almost, if not identical. But I guess that's something that has happened for years now, young guns kind of grouped together.
Yeah it's been that way for a really long time. There are pros and cons to it, because it *does* make the product more consistent (i.e. on a case-by-case basis you're likely to get every young guns), but the trade off is you lose the upside (or downside) of having a case that has, say, 4 or 5 of the same Young Guns.
They actually did change the picture to Bedard..Originally it was supposed to be Makar! Sweet!
Yeah! When we first saw the mock up we were surprised as well! Think it was a really good decision though, the box looks sick.

No, the base Deluxe (/250), Exclusives (/100), Outburst Red (/25), High Gloss (/10), and Outburst Gold (1/1) are Hobby and ePack exclusive per the checklist :)
No, hobby only. Tins and Blasters are retail...but they each have they're own exclusive content...

You must be a dealer to call that not bad. If I paid $700 - $800 for that I would be sick. Lucky if you got $100 in cards. …..
Part of opening up a full case is to show that there are going to be good and bad boxes.
Also it's not *always* about money. These two boxes were fun from a collecting standpoint and the set's generally pretty nice, even if it's really dependent on hitting Bedard cards.
It was about the fun of collecting at $150 a box ….but when the price almost tripled …. that all changed for most collectors@@zephyrepic

In comparison to McDavids Season of Excellence; is 2005s, 30 card, Sydney Crosby Diary of a Phenom...which sells raw for $25 Canadian...they're not shiny, but these days shiny isn't a factor in price anyway...
haha yeah, I still have a full set of those from back in the day. I think the /153 ones will sell well because they'll probably look good in that gold parallel!

I think its actually the absolute worst time to get into the hockey card hobby. Prices on wax are doubling product to product because of 1 player. Last years series 2 is selling 59$ a box at da card world. Those prices will never be seen again.
It's a bit counter intuitive, but with previous years boxes being more affordable than before, it's actually a really good opportunity to get in because the entry point is lower (even if the crops aren't the best, but I like 21-22's crop). For 23-24 boxes it's definitely tougher, but for older stuff it's great!
Generally when there's 1 big player, the singles market also becomes fun to come in and collect your PC players as they tend to be a little cheaper too :)

$300 a box and not even a guaranteed auto. You got to be rich or stupid to buy this. I think last years boxes are like $50. Nice audio/video quality.
UD's flagship products (S1, S2, and Extended) have pretty much been solely dependent on the value of the Young Guns in the product, and has never guaranteed an auto.
The price of last year is lower because the Young Guns crop wasn't as good. $300 is definitely a lot for a box, but when there's a $700+ Young Guns, the market price tends to be a lot higher. It's also extremely risky as you only have around a 12% chance of hitting that specific card.

we did the raffle for selling boxes just to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at getting a box, that way you don't have to worry about being away from your computer or phone when the listing goes live so you don't miss out :)
