I played about 10 games today. All were slaughters. I tried everything. Running wide, running with a dd, running with a bb, running up to an island and parking, running with 3-5 teammates. Every game, no lie, EVERY SINGLE GAME was an a$$ kicking. Most games, every member of the other team had more xp than all of my team. Me included of course. It was a blood bath and was so unenjoyable. This has been my experience often in random battles which is why I mostly do co-op against bots. But I don't want to always play bots.

Your first comment was huge, "play the side you spawn". That should be followed up with "if you spawn towards the middle, go the flank that balances the sides evenly" imo. To many matches are lost by overloading one side and then stalling. The bad won't push, or maybe push poorly resulting in a Yolo. The "good" players will try to use the bad as meat shields, but the clock is killing your win then. (This is the ideal move for non WR stat focused players to pad their damage done stats). Learning to play from all 4 corners, on all maps, with all ship types, is necessary to be a good player. Side note, the ppl who won't play a cap because "torpedo alley" or because "it's a meat grinder in there" are overlooking the fact that one of the two sides WILL win that flank. By deliberately not playing it, you are likely handing that flank, and the win, to the other team. Good video, you might be earning my sub back after all the Dead Eye ire in the last few weeks.

17:44 - Regarding the specific captain skills, two questions come to mind. 1) Where are the last three points going to go? 2) Is there an obvious choice between fire prevention and extra heal if you are not willing to sacrifice Deadeye to have both? On a more general note, for the beginners who may be watching: if you are working a BB captain up from scratch, where would you put your first ten points and why? And does it change depending on which BB we are talking about?
Incoming fire for 1pt skill, Vigilance/grease the gears for 2pt (vigilance is really good as a tanking BB or any BB, grease the gears over vigilance if your turret traverse is just bad). Brisk is also a good 2pt skill for **stealthy** and typically fast bbs (can work on stealthy slow bbs to just give more speed) but i'd save brisk for later. 3pt is OBVIOUSLY adrenaline rush , AR is necessary on every ship. 4th skill i'd go concealment or the extra heal, i find that you can usually live without fire prevention unless something like the Kremlin line. theres a normal tank build for any bb, a brisk/glass cannon build for ships like thunderer and constellation and whatnot (brisk, turret traverse, extra heal - focusing more on gun efficiency, speed, stealth, and being able to heal hp back), and then a secondary build for bbs. If I were you, id just watch videos from PQ or flamu or someone for skills. hope that explained it.

Unwinnable Games? Yeah, had that yesterday when EVERY SINGLE BATTLESHIP AND CRUISER on my team decided to lemmingtrain around an island at I10. The worst thing about it? The gamemode was capture the middle 🤦🏻♂️
Those capture the middle games really make me laugh how many times teams simply fail to grasp the simple premise that you will never win by avoiding the middle completely.
Been play rank for 2 days, most of the time I lose even I brought 2 away with me. The only win today is on my Mushashi bring 3 ships away, at the end, I am solo fight 2/3 hit point FDG and Iowa. Quit the game instead.
"Go to your flank" If going to your own flank was the best option, you'd run into the same number of enemies and you wouldn't have to deal with steamroll lemmingtrain flanks. If the flanks aren't optimally spawned to balance ships (i.e all tier 8 on on side or all radar cruisers on one side), is it better to try and flex your position to spread your coverage?
I feel like '' go to your flank '' is pretty simple to understand. There's no ''if'', it's literally '' go to your flank ''. It is the best option in every scenario. The time you waste moving to another flank loses you more than any potential gain you could do in a bad flank.
If you see the enemy with a steamroll lemming-train flank pushing in on you ...... stop playing aggressive and start a kite play.....drawing the enemy away at an angle to stall them, make them waste shots and time all the while you pummel with HE and dodge fire.....when the other flank overtakes the enemy weak flank they will be able to cut back in and if all works out the odds will be in your teams favor. Also keep in mind players that lemming train are usually garbage players who have no confidence in their abilities to play solo.
