@LukeEngell wow 👌 I'd be really grateful if you let me know your first impression of it and if my video was useful enough to cover all the aspects of it or not. Really appreciate your opinions. Take care and good luck 🥰
Wow...You're awesome 👌 👏 I was quite surprised 😮 really thank you for your attention and support 🙏 I will try my best to make the third episode about the big scriber as you wished very soon. Many thanks for your kindness 🙏
So you're a great professional 👏 I don't have many years of experience. When I entered university, some 25 years ago, computers and Autocad were taking over, and traditional drafting and anything related to it was retreating in all fronts frantically. Everyone was so enthusiastic about eliminating everything left from the past that they weren't even caring about the consequences. I was one of the people who insisted on doing my drafting projects traditional way because I really believed there would always be time to learn Autocad by time for traditional methods was running lower and lower. I'm really proud that I spent those months learning something that is nearly forgotten these days and simultaneously feel sorrow for the loss of that great heritage. I feel a duty to preserve and pass on this knowledge and will be proud if you or anyone else who is reading this text could help me. Many thanks for your attention, and I wish you health and happiness 🥰
I just picked up a set on Ebay and I've never seen one with this many extras before! One thing I'm curious about is that what I've got is the adjustable scriber and a separate letter height adjustment gizmo that you can attach to it. I'm wondering if this combo makes it basically the same functionality as the height/slant scriber? The adjustment grid seems like it would be far easier to use because there are no markings of any kind on what I have, so you'd be hard pressed to keep any settings consistent. But I wonder if the range of height and slant are the same between the two?
@stevewik2280 normally engineering tools should be quite straightforward, and the adjustments should be easy so one can choose the same one each time they use the device. I really wonder about the gizmo you just described because if it's hard to keep the adjustments consistent or if you can't say what adjustments you've already done, it can't be practical. Anyhow, it's not a bad idea to search its picture on Google and see if anything like it can be found or not. Many thanks for sharing your experience, and I'd be really grateful if you let me know the results 😊 🙏
I'm very curious about the surface you are drawing on at 1:21 in the video. Is it related to the lettering set? I have one that came from a Polish architect who worked from the 60s-90s. I also have a small lettering set like that - and it looks like a good idea to use them together.
Many thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. That surface is called drawing board or drafting board, Rotring size A4, Portable and useful, there is also size A3 available. I use it while drawing with any other tool, not only lettering set or Graphos or... . That's a really practical and useful tool . Wish you health and happiness🥰
I just bought a set today, glad to find someone who really understands how to use it!
