  • After the demise of my Kona Bug Honzo's stock rear wheel I set out to build a new one. Gathering the right tools for the job, I purchased a new Park Tool Truing stand the TS 2.2 and in part 1 mounted it to a base. In Part 2 I actually use actual no-magic to put the wheel together and finally, in Part 3 I set the wheel up with a 3" tubeless Tyre.

Brilliant 3 part video. When will you be opening a bike shop?

Great video - are you now sold on tubeless? I've ridden clinchers for so many years without a ("p-word"), but everywhere I look people seem to swear by tubeless - although a significant number seem to moan about the mess, the faff with seating properly, etc. You make it look easy!

I'm sold on tubeless (although I have invested heavily 🤣) I'm quite confident in them now given the time I've been riding tubeless. Whilst punctures aren't a thing of the past they are easier to deal with, unless there is a catastrophic failure, I which case it is messy. Setting up can be a nightmare but like most things the more you do it the easier it becomes as you learn the niggles. Most of all the ride quality is much nicer on tubeless!

@@BicycleAdventureClub Thank you! My current bike doesn't have tubeless rims, and I'm reluctant to invest in new wheels. But if I do get a new bike .... decisions, decisions ... ;-)
